Excellent location, and got a discounted rate through this site so even better value than usual. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I didn't get the breakfast, but the coffee from the breakfast bar/reception was excellent. As usual, all the rooms are very modern, with lots of power outlets and USB charging for phones and laptops. Still the best value for money in town.
This was my third or fourth time staying here now, I got another "no windows" room with the electric skylight, as standard. When booking on this site it was going to be a "free upgrade", but it was exactly the same as my last non upgraded room. The stainless steel shower base in my room was flexing and loudly popping when I was showering, which probably annoyed the hell out of whoever's room was below mine. And pack some adhesive black stickers or tape if you need a dark room to sleep, because there will be an incredibly bright blue standby LED on the TV directly facing you, and another one on the bathroom mirror.

The hotel is one of the cheapest in Wellington. I did not have high expectations. But the hotel is excellent . Good bed. Good shower. Comfortable room. Good service. And the price is good . What more could you want ? I saw a number of negative reviews, perhaps by people expecting a 5 star hotel after paying $150. Who knows. We had an excellent stay
All good

Wonderful rooms. Bed and cleanliness exceptional.
Did not have credit card to hold a bond even though room paid for by credit card. The guy on reception would not accept a cash bond and was extremely uncompromising. Needed to have a friend come over to show physical credit card. Offered 300 cash for bond but told without credit card imprint I could not check in. Left out on street until friend arrived. Most distressing and spoiled an otherwise lovely business stay. Rest of staff lovely but initisl encounter when checking in was highly upsetting

The attic room with large sloping windows gave good light in the daytime and give a nice view of the sky at night (but remember to put the blinds down on sunny days while you're out). The wifi worked well. The bathroom/wetroom was spacious with good shampoos, etc. You can connect/cast your phone to the TV to share the screen. Not in the swanky part of the city, but there are still plenty of decent restaurants nearby. The out of hours access works well (but in my case the wrong code was sent, but a telephone call fixed that).
I kept banging my knees on the corners of the bed. The walls are very thin so conversations in the next room can disturb. The shower didn't drain well The decor was very dark Not enough hanging space - there's no cupboard, but the under-bed storage is useful

The room was surprisingly spacious, well laid out with plenty of room for unpacking or storing suitcases in the bed cubbies. The shower was really good pressure & I loved the LED mirror 😍 staff were really nice & welcoming and the location is good walking distance from the main streets & visitor spots.
Rooms are only partially serviced every 3 days (but you can ask staff for new towels or replacements where needed). In terms of security, there’s no after hours swipe access required (building and floors are accessible to anyone) but as long as you practice caution with locking your room door, you’ll be ok.

I stay here about once a month on average, and this time with my sweet discounted rate I decided to book the Deluxe Queen room. This gets you a very large window (most rooms have none) and a bit bigger room. I didn't have the breakfast, so can't comment on that, however so far I've had the coffee made by three different staff members; and it's all been excellent. They're also all very friendly and helpful, so top marks for that. And someone descaled the iron or used it recently this time, which I'm very pleased about. The self check-in and out are also very easy to use.
Same as usual, only very minor nitpicks like the unlockable ironing board, confusing TV etc. But these are really very minor in the scheme of things, don't let them put you off staying here.

Second time staying here. Excellent value for money, everything's very new inside. The staff are very friendly and helpful, letting me drop my bag before check-in. Very handy location, and the bar downstairs is nice, too. It's a very quiet building despite the location.
Not really a complaint, considering the price; but you may not get a window at all, or you may get a weird diagonal support brace passing through your room. Neither really bothered me, though. And at the risk of sounding nitpicky, the iron and ironing board both suck. The iron spat all sorts of crap out from never being descaled, and the board was useless - it didn't have any latch to stop it collapsing. This probably isn't an issue for most folks.

The room was exactly as advertised. The bed was very comfortable, but you did have to climb up to it and there was no way the person sleeping on the wall side of the bed could get out without climbing over the other person. The towels were super soft and large. The water pressure for the shower was excellent. It was very quet.
We arrived after hours and couldn't get in. We rang the bell and it was difficult for us to be understood by the staff member whose English was not great. We had two other guests behind us trying to get in also, and they could not get in either. Eventually resolved.

The hotel does take the bags in the storage before the check-in and after the check-out; it is a bonus for the travellers to arrive or depart at odd hours.
The electrical opening of the blinds is awkward in the attic room, which is used to shade against the sun, but it also turns the room blackout. The TV does not have Freeview channels; it uses Chromecast instead. You have to use the app on your phone or iPad to watch your favourite channel on the TV.

The hotel is close to the city centre, so is within walking distance of restaurants and the function that I visited Wellington to attend. I paid for the site parking so that I could leave my car there safely for two nights. The room was warm and quiet, the lighting was excellent, the shower had plenty of hot water and the bed was very comfortable.
The tv doesn't have any terrestrial network access, and I don't have Chromecast etc to access it. (Not that I missed it....) The self check-in/check-out touch screen was not working very well when I checked in, and refused to work for me at all when I checked out.
