The hotel itself is gorgeous. Beautiful art decorating the lobby gives the hotel an elevated and cultured feel. The valet service was appreciated and very helpful. The staff were lovely and very accomodating. I loved the gift they left us in our room to commemorate the occassion. The room was a great size with more than the average hotel amenities. Two hob stove, oven, microwave, and a washer/dryer. There was an extra large tub that filled very quickly and the toiletries all smelt lovely and were gentle on skin. The hotel was within walking distance to many great tourist spots and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
It was a bit difficult to find the entrance as we were looking for "museum hotel" especially after a long day of driving, but on ringing them, they provided clear instructions. The hippo helped.

The location was excellent:- opposite Te Papa Museum; close to Courtney Place for transport & eateries. The hotel decor was fabulous. The room decor was very good. The room's lighting was ok if you only wanted subdued lighting, but if you wanted to read, write or sew then it was hopeless - there was no task lighting at all. Even the desk lamp was low wattage & not functional .
The kitchen had no containers to microwave in. There were no containers to cook anything on or in for the oven. There was no chopping board. There was no can opener.

The locality to where I needed to get to on foot, The luxuriousness of the furnishings, amazing artwork throughout the whole building. I have never had the privilege of ever seeing great art like that and to be afraid to sit, look and admire it. The ambience of the lighting to preserve the artwork but yet giving off an illusion. The wonderful staff throughout all the different areas of roles and responsibilities. Our room had everything that I needed and was comfortable. We both just loved it and have already recommended it to colleagues, friends and family to stay there. Am already planning our next stay.
I did not have enough towels for myself. It was my husband and I and had 1 towel each , I am used to and prefer to have 2 towels each. Other than that it was great.

- Excellent location, close to Te Papa and a lot of restaurants, Cuba Street etc. - Was great for travelling with a 5 year old who wanted to go back to the room for a rest in between activities. - Car Parking was good, no need to book in advance (some other hotels I looked at couldn't guarantee a carpark). It is valet parking and the concierge was great to deal with, always had the car ready when I needed it (cars are stored across the road in a secure carpark when not in use). - Reception and Lobby area is nice with lots of artwork to look at. Swimming pool, Spa and Sauna were all in operation during my stay which was a main reason I wanted to stay here, kid loved it. - Staff were friendly and always helpful when assistance was needed. - Size of room was fine for a family of 3. - Large bath tub which the kid enjoyed too. - Tip for guests: the hotel shares their main entrance/ reception with QT hotel. When inputting into google maps use the QT Wellington address (90 Cable Street). The Wakefield St address given will take you to the back entrance which you can't enter without a key card.
Beds were a bit soft for my liking. Lighting in the room was a bit dim. Phone to reception wasn't working. These were only minor issues and I would definitely stay again.

Great sized room and cool decor. Loved everything about the space we had - it was a really big room and much better than being in just a hotel room.
It was unclear about where the hotel was - it's actually at the other end of the QT Hotel but the actual address shows it as being a bit up the road but you enter through the QT Hotel lobby. And there was a desk set up in the lobby that said it was the Museum Apartments check-in desk but there was no one there. We waited there a while before walking up to the QT Hotel check in desk at the other end of the lobby and they said to check in there. So why no sign on the desk to explain where to check in. Why even have a Museum Apartment check in desk when it's obviously not used. But that was the only confusion - everything else was fab!

The deep bath was amazing. The location was spot on and handy to everything at a short distance. Oven and Induction stove top was great! Room service was brilliant and kind. The bar man was knowledgeable despite there being limited stock. Loved the Spa and Pool gym area. Appreciated the little sitting areas to sit and take phone calls etc.
Had issues on the first night with the washer drier (room service ended up laundering our belongings until the maintenance guy returned the next day). Only one chair in the apartment yet there were 3 of us so hard to sit and eat at the table to eat a meal we had to take turns. Shower kept leaking out the shower when showering so we had to always lay towels down to avoid slipping despite us letting the staff know. Phone lines were down so this was a inconvenience when trying to sort out issues or order room service, There was no booklet in the room of the restaurant menu or drinks menu to look at and plan a meal. Hall way lights were pretty dim could have been turned u a notice.

Our room #602 Had beautiful views of the harbour and at night it was spectacular. The king sized bed was comfortable, automatic room temperature was perfect and the bathroom with shower and bath was nice too. Kitchen with oven, microwave, hot plate and small refrigerator was quite adequate but utensils were rather limited. Valet parking is available and we used it as there are lots of shops/cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.
We would have liked to have had a coffee plunger/espresso machine. There were only 3 ordinary coffee sachets and 3 decaffeinated and that is not adequate and only 2 coffee mugs. The room lighting, other than by the bed, was not particularly good and it was very difficult to see anything in the wardrobe. No dressing gowns or slippers and, only 1 hand towel

Location is great - very close to the waterfront, tourist attractions. downtown and shops which was all within walking distance. Easy access to drive out and visit family and friends in the rolling hills of Wellington. Easy commute from the airport - nice and short. Hotel lobby areas are sumptuous and beautifully decorated with a great artwork collection - especially liked the corn beef cow! Our room was great - spacious, beautifully decorated with everything we needed (loved the washing/dryer combo!). The swimming pool and spa were a great bonus even though we didn't use it. The bar is a great place to relax, enjoy a drink or meal and unwind - atmosphere is inviting and cool. Staff were very friendly and helpful - would like to call out Steven who checked us in way after our expected arrival time. He was friendly, informative and very helpful at 2.00 am!!!! The valet car parking - great service and staff always had our car ready at the requested times. We'll be back!
The apartment was beautifully decorated with plenty of space for two people. It would have been nice to have a little lounge to sit on to watch TV and/or relax (from our calculation there was enough space).

The decor, the room itself was lovely. Bathtub! Staff were pretty good the concierge needs to let you know when your car is back as there’s no communication.
The entrance to the hotel is not made clear at all. It’s bizarrely placed in an alcove in what looks like a car park. I think this is deliberate, the hotels been designed to be super quirky but bear in mind your travellers are often from other countries and don’t know the area let alone where the hotel is so make it clearer! Test and tag needs doing guys this is illegal to have any electrical appliances without current test and tag. Maintenance needs a kick up the bum. Or you need one. Before someone gets hurt. You should have a checklist for each room each time someone stays.

Fab suite....wonderful rainshower. Very luxurious and comfortable. Super comfy bed. Lobby is just amazing....the art work if out of this world. It was a very special occasion for us and on arrival we found beautiful hand written note and bottle of Prosecco from Management....a lovely touch. Location if first class
Entrance at front is into bar area....not marked out as "this way to check in"...so a bit of confusion. Hotel is on website as The Museum but nowhere on the building is the name visible.......its the QT it seems
