brilliant location. 5-10 minutes walk from the main harbour / fish market and only 5 mins from main shopping area. Close to science museum, aquarium and the railway to the top of the mountain behind Bergen. also the breakfast was amazing. my daughter is coeliac and they had pre-wrapped gluten free bread and a gluten free area. the food for us non-coeliacs was also very very good. staff were great, helpful and their English was perfect.

Nothing not to like really. no pool of you want that and the bar wasn’t very buzzy but we were travelling with kids so wasn’t a problem. the double room with bunk beds for our family of two adults and two kids was a bit crowded and a bath would have been nice but we have noticed very few hotels in Scandinavia seem to have baths!

Breakfast exceptional good , We had bad luck with fthe weather , but the breakfast hostess Giselda always greeted us very cheerfully, so we called her Mrs sunshine, so we had the feeling the sun was shining and forgot about the lots of rain. we would like to sincere thank the Mr. Stian Flett-Monsen Front Office Manager Ms. Ingrid ,Therese and Mr.Joachim for kindly helping me for the check-in and for the parking of our car in the Bygarasjen , showing your hotel’s warm welcoming service .  Our special thanks also go to Ms. Justtyna the house keeping manager and manager in duty, who came to our room only 5 minutes after our call to Reception for the problem of our clogged sink and immediately solved the problem. It was 18:30 already, we did not expect any one from the housekeeping to help us after working hours, but we were happily surprised that the manager Justyna came herself within 5 minutes.   Besides, thehotel’s breakfast is the among the best one of all the 4 stars hotels we experienced in Europe!  This is the first time we experience a Scandic hotel, and we are really very happy to chose to stay 4 nights in this hotel!

The location of the hotel was excellent and coordination from staff was very courteous. It had excellent varieties of breakfast options. The hotel room had a very good view of the mountains since the room provided was on top floor.

The room which I booked by making the payment on Booking.com along with the dimensions of the bed was not according to which I had to stay. I made a payment for Superior King Room with 18m2 which had mentioned the bed dimensions as large - 151 - 180 cm wide and I chose this room specifically because I was travelling with a small child whereas the room which I had to stay was Standard Double Room which had bed dimensions as medium - 131 -150 cm and had difficulty to accommodate with a small child. In short, I feel that I have made a payment for Superior King room which was larger in size whereas I had to stay/content with a smaller room.

Liked that it was a reasonable walk (if you are pretty mobile) to the Bergen city center area. The hotel was right across from the train station as well as a shopping center where you could grab a meal, coffee, or even groceries. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options for vegetarian eaters. The room was quite large for 2 people, and I liked that we were provided with 2 pillows for each person

Asked for a room clean, hoping to get a towel refresh as well (considering water from the shower is always spilling everywhere). The only thing that was cleaned was the trash. No made bed, no new towels. It was weird, but it wasn't a big deal as we were leaving the next day anyway.

Tasty and reach breakfast, very nice chef. Nice comfortable room, cosy bed. Fair price.

All the staff was very nice, except the one lady at the reception and the next day she was also a host at the breakfast. She was cold and arrogant. The window to the inner courtyard wasn't so good, because you have to use the curtains as soon as it gets dark, otherwise all the guests from the reception could see you. A bit used tables and chairs at the breakfast. It takes around 15-20 minutes to get to the Bryggen by feet. But for me all those issues were minor. It's a comfortable and nice hotel. I would recommend it.

Friendly smiles everywhere. Extremely accommodating. Clean, comfortable, luxurious breakfast buffet. We were "forced" to stay 2 extra nights due to weather-related transportation issues. Staff were very-overworked, but handled issues graciously. A HUGE THANK YOU to the hospitable bar tender! He really made our stay extra special! SUPERB location next to train AND bus stations, and very walkable distance to city center.

Lack of extra help at front desk during busy times of check-in and check-out. We realize these were extenuating circumstances due to weather-related issues, out of their control.

Room was comfortable and impeccably clean. Breakfast excellent as always for range, freshness and alternative options (excellent on gluten free, lactose free which we look for). Location right next to the bus station is brilliant though bear in mind that town is a bit of a walk (and there are cobbles!).

The Breakfast restaurant service was busy, so look for quieter periods (the signs in the lifts give you these, although they're only in Norwegian, but they're easy enough to understand). There were no large mugs or bowls and lots of the tables had debris on them - it looked like the service was a bit under staffed compared to normal.

Great location to visit Bergen, near the train station, large parking, and city center. Comfortable rooms with everything you need: ironing board, iron, and hair dryer were already in the room. A variety of breakfasts in the morning and a nice bar restaurant on the top floor.

For tourists who do not distinguish between weekdays and weekends during vacations, it would be desirable to explain in more detail the difference in breakfast time, and that's how we missed breakfast on Monday. But that's our fault, not the hotel's. :-) The breakfast entrance space and the food tables are very close together and the streams of people constantly overlap, making it difficult to move with the plates of food.

Great location, walking distance to everything. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice. There was a small fridge in the room which was handy for snacks and drinks. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like, only an observation of something a bit weird, was that the bedroom window looked out into an interior corridor down to the 2nd floor landing. We could see across into other guest rooms which was a bit strange. It would have been nice to have a direct view of outside, but overall, the hotel was good!
