This is about the room. The room was neat and tidy and clean. The furnishings were a bit worn (tables scratched and dinged) but the mattress seemed new and the sheets were obviously new. I would have given a higher room review but the curtain was pretty thin, allowing light from the parking lot in...I got an extra blanket and draped it over the curtain rod so that was handled.

The common areas were quite beat up and seemed dirty and based on them I would have gone to another place but I was too tired to drive safely. Glad I didn't because the room was well cared for and who spends any time in the lobby anyway.

There were florescent lights in the ceiling above the bed. 1 bulb out of 4 was working. The room was clean but outside the building looked shabby and hundreds of cigarette butts in the back parking lot. Also old non running vehicles were back there. The handle of the shower nozzle pulled off when my husband took a shower. It is obvious this motel is struggling since the Pandemic. The mattress had cigarette holes in it. It was okay to sleep on but not what I expected from a Rode Way Inn.

Room not completely clean. General motel condition needed maintenance or more funding for up keep. Location was at the rear of property and paving was in disrepair. Some issues that prove the above statement. The ice machine didn't work. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Front lobby & room door & bathroom doors stick or would not close.(sign in front door stated such). Door thresholds loose or sticking up causing trip hazard. Some TLC would help this location.

Online reservation for non-smoking room 8/28. On same day I called motel to request ground floor with fridge. My husband is disabled and has a hard time stairs. Also has meds that need to be kept cold. I was told that would not be a problem. However, when I checked in they gave me a second floor, smoking room, without a fridge. Said that was all they had they were full and couldn’t make any changes they didn’t hsve anything. I had to take it because it was after 9 pm and I was having eye surgery next morning and didn’t have time to start looking all over again. Very disappointed!

There was NO breakfast. Not sure how I ended up booking this motel. I thought I’d checked reviews for each of our stays across country, but I must have chosen Rodeway by mistake.

The place was directly next to a large gas station, directly behind a gun shop, lots of non-working cars parked out front (maybe to make it LOOK like they were full?), office was dark and cluttered, owner/manager was fairly pleasant, but he was clearly living in a room behind the check-in desk, lots of deferred maintenance issues, mattresses had to be decades old, threadbare sheets, dirty blankets, no bedspread, BLOOD SPOTS ON THE CARPET. We stayed only bc we’d been on the road all day, arrived late, were exhausted, and planned to leave VERY early the next morning. NOT RECOMMENDED!

The room that we were placed in was not updated, the carpet smelled and the beds and room were ridden with bed bugs. my husband and his co worker woke up with bites all over them after the first few days of staying there. Room 109 is the room that we were placed in and that is the room that has the infestation. We contacted the manager of the property and we got met with rude comments, terrible customer service from the staff and outright disrespect. They of course denied that they had bedbugs and wouldn’t even check the room themselves. Housekeeping is not done at all and the hotel itself is run down. They claim to have monthly pest services done but I’m sure that it won’t have an effect if there is no housekeeping and the hotel itself is run down anyways. The TV that is in that room also doesn’t work and cell phone service is almost completely non-existent.
