good facilities,good service , hotel is bigger than than the pictures showed , quiet and peaceful,spacious and privacy .front desk very friendly professional,housekeeping is good . breakfast is good, spa is beautiful and small but still quiet because not many guest use it. there is a computer corner in 5th floor my son can spent some times there. It is a elegant hotel with high quality staffs, much appreciate !

spa staffs doesn’t speak English and no awareness of service

The hotel was beautiful and incredibly aesthetic with a very comfortable atmosphere which was only made possible due to a group of fabulously helpful staff! It wasn't too far nor too close to the center. Our car was parked immediately after our arrival and brought to us within minutes of us requesting it. We even got a free upgrade which I thought was a lovely touch. I would honestly recommend this magnificent hotel to anyone who asked.

We asked for quite simple medication; painkillers and were directed to the nearest pharmacy instead. In my experience with 5x hotels, such a simple thing was almost always available with an occasional charge for the service. The spa was beautiful but due to a lack of staff, there was a state of utter chaos with guests looking confused and more than a little lost. We would have greatly appreciated it if the facilities were 'reservation-based'.

Mystery Hotel is like its name a mystery which you would like to solve and discover. From the welcoming staff to the spacious facilities, everything was superb. Having a drink at the Sky Garden while looking at the Parliament or enjoying the spa's peacefulness - they even let us enjoy it after our check out while waiting for our taxi to the airport! The room was so spacious and breakfast was a delight with standard American choices or veggie options if required. Did I mention the staff? Special thanks to the reception who really made our stay a unique experience! Location is walking distance from some attractions and transporation not far to enjoy a full visit of Budapest

Maybe a note to know when is the room cleaning schedule?

Breakfast is basic but adequate. Doorman/Concierge Gregg was unbelievable. What he did for us, we will never forget - namely Gira D'Italia cycle race was happening and no taxis were available. Gregg ran to his car (several miles away) and then drove us to the airport at break-neck speed. We just made our flight.

Nothing to dislike

We paid £100 per night for our smallish room, but thought that that was absolutely outstanding value. Everything was perfect, especially the brilliant shower. Definitely a five star experience, with welcome fresh fruit and chocolates in our room on arrival. We didn't think we'd want breakfast - and at €25 per head, we didn't try it, so we can't comment - although we'd be surprised if it were anything other than excellent. The location is good - not too near the centre of town, but with plenty of great restaurants, and a few touristy things, only a few minutes' walk away. In any case, Bolt taxis (there is no Uber, but Bolt is exactly the same) are plentiful and cheap - between £5 and £10 to almost anywhere, and only £25 to and from the airport.... I've posted some photos of the little spa in the Secret Garden, on the ground floor inside a little atrium, near the sauna and some gym equipment. I could only post one of the outside, but the other two are obvious outside as well - not the lobby, and certainly not the bathroom!

Our room was a bit small...

We had an amazing stay at Mystery Hotel Budapest. Very clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere, nice staff . We loved the breakfast. The options might not be super big but there is a lot of variation from day to day which keeps it interesting. Some people wrote in their reviews there was only a normal coffee machine but this is actually not true. You can ask any staff or at the bar to get barrista coffee/sparkling wine/poached and fried eggs and they are happy to prepare it without additional charge. The coffee barrista is very skilled and drew pumkins in my coffee for halloween. Maybe its a well kept secret part of their theme as many people didn't order proper coffee :D Also the spa area is nice, there is a small warm pool, a steam room and a sauna. They also have a rooftop and a jacuzzi but both was closed when we visited.

There is not much interaction with frontdesc staff, they don't greet you and sometimes the desc is not even occupied. It doesn't help that guests enter the hotel facing with their back to the front desc, which could be fixed by changing the glass corridor. The floors in the pool area need to be wiped dry more often. They were dry in the morning but soaking wet and slippery towards the evening.

Very beautiful hotel with surprising details. Lovely staff that are always ready to help. David, one of the night receptionists was delightful, funny and incredibly helpful. The massage team is also exceptional and i can highly recommend the Tokaji massage

This is really a minor detail about the way the beds are made and a personal opinion/preference. The duvet was not fully inside the duvet cover, and then the duvet was tucked very tightly into the bottom of the bed. This means that the duvet is not able to be slept under fully unless you first unmake the bed.if you sleep in it as is, the duvet only reaches to mid stomach. Again minor detail and a quick fix you can do yourself before going to sleep😁

The location was perfect for exploring with teenagers. From the moment we arrived the staff were courteous and super helpful. Our room was no longer available but they provided one which was perfectly adequate for myself and two girls, even gifted a bottle of bubbles as an apology(which I shared with adult friends who joined us this year, of course!) loved the chocolates and fruit on arrival. Actually, the whole experience was simply lovely!

If I had to choose something it would would be the high level window in our replacement room- it felt a little claustrophobic tbh and it’s nice to be able to see outside without tip toeing😃 but our aim was t to stay in our room and gaze out of a window so it was y something I’d make a formal complaint about.

Loved the theme and atmosphere in the hotel. Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. Located ideally in the city center.

The spa facilities were beautiful, but too small for the size of the hotel, so sometimes too crowded. Staff of the spa was hard to find. The hours for the jacuzzi outside were in the middle of the day, so not very comfortable in the summer, open until 18. Would prefer to get in the jacuzzi at night. Inside spa hours could be a bit wider from 8 or 9 until 22 or 23 instead of 10-21, but that’s just a minor point.

The breakfast was really good with a wide range of choices, they even had pancakes and maple syrup. On arrival the staff noted that I had booked a room with twin beds (acccidently) and realising that I would prefer a double bed changed my room at no extra charge. The staff were also happy to look after our bags after checking out, whilst we utilised the spa and went for an explore.

The roof top bar wasn't open, which I understand as the weather wasn't good but it would have been helpful if they advised on their website.when booking that it is only only from the end of April.
