Staff were fantastic. So helpful. The public areas were very nice. Excellent breakfast.

We booked a room with a roll in shower for my disabled mother. Shower was not perfect as the seat was a little too much in the corner. The worst was the toilet. It was extremely low ( much lower than a regular toilet )that it was difficult to sit or get up without help! Such a shame as this meant my mother had to be wheeled to the general disabled toilet downstairs just outside the dining area when needed! It’s the first time we have experienced this in a hotel! Next time we will be asking questions before booking!!

Comfortable room with largish en suite, great breakfast options (literally all you can eat), location was ok other than being a bit of a distance (though nothing major) from the train and bus stations which were key to our stay due to our plans, however it was very quiet which hotels closer to the train/bus stations may not have been, so generally all good there.

Slight plumbing issue, if you fill the sink right up when you let the water out it bubbles up into the shower from the drain, and can bring up some of the drain contents. Not a massive issue, and easily resolved by not filling the sink too much or a quick wash out with the shower.

Arrived and the staff at the reception were warm and personable, I was quickly checked in and on my way to my room. The room was compact but well though out, shower was great and the curtains kept out all the light. Breakfasts in the morning were very good, a wide range of things to choose from and plenty of healthy and unhealthy options. I also liked that there was a sign for people with food intolerances.

Parking was a BIG ISSUE at this hotel, the number of spaces is too small for a hotel of this size. I saw people queueing to get into spaces on friday night. Maybe a deal with one of the local parking companies. I ended up taking taxis places because i was too afraid of losing my parking spot, so felt like I was paying double. In my room the bed was not super comfortable, a bit too soft, so had a pretty sore back for two days. Only other thing was the wardrobe didn't stay open, ie constantly slid closed, which was very annoying as I tried to prepare for my event.

roadworks around the hotel made navigating to the entrance a bit of a challenge - it would have been good to have advance notice. signage in the car park is practically non existent and the EV charging facility appeared to be a plug socket at quite some distance from the parking space. I had chosen this hotel partly because it had EV charging but it wasn’t what I expected compared to other public charging facilities. luckily had time to charge my car elsewhere.

The hotel has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Staff are very attentive. Check in is quick and the staff are chatty and interested in your stay. The rooms we have stayed in have been exceptionally clean and comfy. Equipped with all you need for your stay. The bar is well staffed with a good assortment of drinks, bar meals that we have had have been of a good standard and quick service. Breakfast is lovely with a huge choice for everyone and the staff all appeared to be happy, nothing is too much trouble. I have to mention we have stayed many times in the last few weeks, one evening I left my handbag in the bar area without realising, during the night Paul came to our room to return the bag to us, we were extremely grateful. Thank you Paul

Nothing to complain about

From entering the hotel staff were friendly and polite, we were a little early (30 mins) and was allowed access to the room. The room was spacious, clean and on the 7th floor so well away from any street noise (there were workmen on the road outside which we didn’t hear at all). Hotel bar was lively and well equipped. Overnight supervisor was attentive and engaged in conversation again in the morning too. The breakfast, wow. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had, so much choice, all fresh and very tasty. Bread only needed 1 round in the toaster too (always a bonus!). Bath towels in the room were huge and very fluffy, not your usual hotel towels! Shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which didn’t appear to be a cheap sort. Overall brilliant stay, will definitely be coming back.

I liked everything about this stay. The location is great, near the city centre with plenty of nearby parking. The room was comfortable with everything that was needed. The staff were very friendly and efficient, especially at breakfast when tables were cleared and cleaned very quickly for a quick turn around at a busy time. The breakfast itself was delicious with plenty of choice from a buffet. The hot breakfast was delicious and there was also a large selection of continental breakfast to choose from.

Nothing - I would definitely stay here again.

Staff really lovely, friendly and helpful. Beds great- best nights sleep in weeks. Breakfast options really good- yoghurts, cereal, toast, pastries, waffles, full english, milk alternatives etc. Bar area cosy. 24 hr snacks great if you get midnight munchies- lots of people having the pizzas which smelt yummy.

Location was a bit further away than we expected from Bramall Lane; not helped by the fact hubby had had a hip op 3 wks prior.

Decent selection of food and drink at breakfast. Bed large and comfortable. Good location within walking distance of the city centre. Undercover parking (though very limited number of spaces).

A couple of niggles — we had to go down from the 5th floor twice because the key card wouldn’t get us into the room. On one occasion we returned to the hotel to fond all the parking spaces taken. Had to go inside and be directed by a member of staff to a disabled parking space.

The hotel was lovely inside. Great staff and service. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms were a good size and a fab bathroom and walk in power shower. Buffet Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and hot food was actually.hot. Best brekky we've had in a hotel in a long time. Couldn't fault it ❤️

Really sorry but the bed 😪. I know everyone is different but it was so hard and so we didn't sleep very well both nights. Both of us woke up with bad backs. Could really do with replacing them. Its the only critique we have of the hotel
