Good location for New Forest. Excellent breakfast, buffet but cooked food was good, and my requested gluten free toast and soya milk came very quickly. Cosy room, decor is to look traditional but my shower was modern and good water pressure. Very clean. Good selection of different types of tea next to kettle. Lighting good in room.
A little tight in the room for space but was fine for one overnight stay. Room was comfortably heated on a very cold night via air conditioning but the noise from this was a bit annoying until I got used to it. However, I would stay here again, enjoyed my stay.

Excellent stay! The location was perfect, the staff was nice, friendly and professional but not too stiff, the facilities were great and the rooms very clean. The whole building has a very cozy and homely atmosphere, and it has lots of classy, oldschool looking elements but still quite modern regarding technology. I loved it all, special thanks to Peter and also the night receptionist for going out of their way to help me. Also the breakfast was amazing!
The street facing rooms are a bit close to the road so you can hear the cars but the oldschool windows have an extra glazing so it's not that bad - also it's an old building mainly made of wood so you can hear some noise from other rooms but also nothing to fuss about, it's not bad and nothing can be done about these. :)

We only had breakfast we rarely use a hotel for our evening meals unless it was part of a package as we prefer to try different types of food. The breakfast was good and part of the stay but we would probably have used the local cafe's if it was not available, The reason we chose the locations was because of the variety of local restaurants and shops available and a number of years ago we had a meal at the Crown which I said at the time we must stay in this hotel at some stage but forgot about it until I carried out a search for a place to stay. Although we had a rocky start with the noise from the room allocated caused by either the fridge system or air condition in the casing in the corner of the room I always say it is how it problems dealt with that matters and the staff was top notch and sorted out a terrific room for the rest of our stay. We defiantly would consider another stay at this hotel as long as we did not have a noisy room.
Noisy room on first night I am a light sleeper and although not so important more selection on the continental breakfast might be coincided. The lift was a little tricky but it was part of the heritage of the hotel and we got used to it.

I was greeted warmly upon my arrival by the person on reception (Peter) who checked me in. My room was a fairly compact single but very nicely appointed and the bathroom felt luxurious. My room was facing the main road which was a little noisy although it had secondary glazing and air conditioning so that made it a little quieter. The hotel itself is beautiful and has some very pleasant grounds and ample car parking and is in the heart of Lyndhurst so everything is nearby and you're only a short drive to all the walks and sites in the New Forest. Breakfast was superb, huge selection and available immediately. It felt like an occasion staying at this hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Stunning building in the heart of Lyndhurst, with the addition of parking ! The interior reflects the grandeur of the building, very old school, grand staircases, relaxing lounge and restaurant, and supported by a quietly efficient Professional team. Roomwise, I ended up in the Rufus suite right at the top of the hotel, a- massing, again proper old school - vast bed - great bathroom with shower and roll top bath, chic toiletries.
One issue for certain guests would be the lift, whilst it fits into the hotel brilliantly and is very quaint - it’s also very small!, we are talking one person small!- so if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage, there will be issues for you.

Loved the character and feel of the hotel which is very grand. The lovely garden is a great space for evening drinks. Car parking space was adequate for the hotel and very secure The bedroom was comfortable and air conditioned. The location on central Lyndhurst couldn't be better for exploring the town. There is a lift to the upper floors. Food in the restaurant/grill was excellent Good range of beers, wines and cocktails. Staff very friendly and obliging.
Our only negative would be the breakfast service on the second morning (Sunday). The range, quality and availability of food was very good but the table service was quite chaotic. We had to clear our own table twice and ask three times for more tea and coffee, which did not arrive. Clearly they didn't have the waiting staff available to cope with a normal breakfast service.

Breakfast was buffet style with continental, cereals, fruit and full English sourced locally all available. The room was small by modern standards but very comfy, with a lovely shower. The lift is tiny but characterful, the oldest gated lift in the UK allegedly. Happy "hour" focussed on cocktails and went on for 3 hours! The bar choice wasn't great though. Dinner was brilliant with lots of choice including vegan and a great wine selection.
Very limited choice of beers and ciders, not the best bar in the world.

Room was a little more compact than we'd hoped, but comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We dined in the restuarant one night. The food was very good, but we felt the menu choices were a bit limited. The location on the high street was great if you wanted to wander around Lyndhurst.
While great for visiting the town, and going out, positioned as it is the Hotel is a bit of a nightmare to get to, since it at just the wrong part of the Lyndhurst one-way system. Taking the natural route from the M27, it took us the best part of half-an-hour to get there from the outskirts of the town, a journey we could have walked in about five minutes. But if you can manage it, coming in from the West it's much less hassle.

Absolutely delighted with our choice to stay at The Crown Manor House Hotel - it was so relaxing - The dinner was just amazing and the staff were all really friendly and attentive. Breakfast was pretty awesome too - I could have eaten it all again (so tasty!) .Our room was very comfortable and in very quiet surroundings too.
Nothing - honestly it was a lovely escape for us. We stayed for one night only. That was our only regret. We could have easily stayed longer if we had the time. Will be back again though I'm sure - the evening meal was a good enough reason to return alone.

We had a lovely room (Scarlet Suite), comfortable bed, staff were super welcoming and friendly, good food and nice lounge for pre-dinner drinks. I really like that it's an independent hotel with a relaxed friendly vibe. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would definitely return.
It would have been nice to have the open fire lit in the guest lounge in the evening. It was a freezing night so we took our after-dinner drinks back to our room as it was cold in the lounge.
