Everything was amazing! Staff went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable, the villa is cozy and well-designed, and it is never crowded no matter where you go. Great food, top notch spa, and they have a parking garage for a car. Best choice on Tenerife for sure!

This hotel really is exceptional! The rooms are just amazingly beautiful, luxurious, big, comfortable, private and have everything you'd need in them. The mini bar is also not ridiculously priced. All staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive - particular shout out to Daniella, Chena and Miguel, but they ALL really make it fantastic. The breakfast was delicious with everything you could ever want. Eating outside around the pool and amongst the palms, felt like we were many more hours away from the UK in the Maldives or likewise... Lunch around the pool was also lovely, but I also loved the Top Bar, pool and restaurant with its amazing views. Evening meals interchanged between restaurants, which gave us a good variety of food to try. Tasting menus were delicious. The chocolate soufflé is to die for! We opted for half board which for us worked very well. All the drinks available from the bars including cocktails were delicious with vast options. It is only about a 20 minute walk down to the coast and Caleta, where there are many other seafront restaurants to choose from. They were all lovely. There is also steps down to the sea, but it was a bit rough for us. We also walked through a protected nature reserve just down from the Hotel to a a secluded cove, where we found a lovely sandy beach. It is a bit of a hike back up, but well worth it. We also drove up to the cafe at the base of the Volcano which was unbelievably impressive and interesting. It was like being in the Grand Canyon with fascinating endemic flowers, cacti and lizards.

There is nothing at all I didn't like and I am picky!. It was slightly annoying one day that there was a woman smoking near enough the pool for me to smell it whilst ending my breakfast and if I'm going to be exceptionally picky, my wife suggests a better brand of Black Tea - ie. Twinings or Liptons and fresh milk in the room, and the option of a Scottish Single Malt Whiskey wouldn't go amiss, but it most certainly didn't affect our lovely week. It was quite cloudy when we were there, so a few more days of sunshine would also have helped, but I guess that is down to the gods! My only problem is that I am now considerably heavier after all that lovely food and drink and aware that it will be difficult to ever find another hotel as good as this anywhere else.

This is by far the most luxurious and stunning hotel we have ever stayed at! We spent 7 nights here and never wanted it to end. All of the staff were wonderful, the food was just delicious and the atmosphere was like nothing else we had experienced before. The hotel is designed to perfection - from the architecture, to the beautiful plant life. It is exceptionally clean and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. We highly recommend booking a table at their Kokoro (our favourite meal of the holiday) and Flamingo restaurants. Thank you to the RR team for making this the dreamiest holiday. We hope to be back very soon!

Charming Villa with spacious rooms and beautiful terrace with private pool. Swimming in the river surrounded by the tropical plants is an authentic experience. It feels like heaven. The comfortable bed is perfect for recovering energies. We had dinner a few times in the Hotel and every time the food was fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was rich and good quality. It would have been nice to have a menu because we didn't know what is possible to order from the kitchen. Even after asking a staff member, we didn't really know what we could get. Marina from the spa area has always a smile for you. Samir and Stefan from Reception made us feel welcomed. The possiblity to communicate with the reception trough Whatsapp is very handy. In general, the hotel is well designed in every single aspect. If you forget to bring a book with you, don't worry. There is a bookshelf with books in many languages.

During breakfast, one of the managers was often there at the restaurant and would hold conversation with most of the guests offering several activities to do. Unfortunately, it seemed like she had some favorites because others, like us, didn't get the same attention. I regretfully have to say that the same manager was present at the moment of our check out and didn't even say goodbye. That was impolite and showed lack of basic hospitality.

Absolutely a sensational place to stay in Tenerife if you are looking for ultimate relaxation. Perfectly tucked away in a quiet spot in Costa Adeje with no noise from the touristy areas, however only 10 minutes down the road from the busy areas if that is what you fancy. No light pollution either so the views at night overlooking the bay are breathtaking. Very relaxed with beautiful facilities and the nicest staff. The room (villa) was stunning and an amazing size, comfiest bed and pillows and the private terrace with the private pool into the river that runs across the hotel was incredible. The private boat trip was incredible and the captain was great, made us feel so at ease considering it was our first time on a boat, would absolutely recommend. Couldn’t be more grateful for the best holiday and absolutely cannot wait to be back.

An absolutely dreamy experience at the Royal River. Our first time booking a luxury hotel and it was wonderful to have our own private pool, and large living area which was lovely and private. Beautifully designed throughout, so many details had been thought about. And we loved all the plants! Breakfast fantastic, the themed Asian night was the best food we experienced at dinner. The lunch food at the main swimming pool were delicious and fresh. A particular favourite was the poké bowl. Walking distance to La Caleta the local town, with some good food options which we did 3 times whilst there. We ventured south along the coastline walk which was nice and highlighted the touristic area. We doing take advantage of the more rugged walk north. We did go on the 3 hour shared Blue Jack sailboat trip organised through the hotel which was great. We were lucky enough to see pilot whales a couple of metres from the boat and we swam in a local bay. The spa staff were also very kind when I had my massage and applied some aloe vera when I had some sunburn! We slept amazingly!! Bed incredibly comfy. We also spent some time in the shared pool areas which were great too and the staff were attentive.

Perhaps it's the nature of the place, but the majority was a very formal experience. We enjoyed interactions with staff members who were themselves aswell as being very professional. In particular Christian and Marina. The Top restaurant, a beautiful setting, and service brilliant, however, the portion sizes were huge and all the food was rich. We understand the requirement to be luxurious, however the food was so rich the portion sizes don't need to be so large. This may just be personal preference of course.

!!!Wow ! We loved everything! Food, swimming pools, the amazing design which is ,thoughtfully being cared and never boring your eyes , the music, and of course the legendary pineapple cocktail which we couldn’t have enough of it!

When just arrived there was a problem with the key The bellboy said he would give us a new one but it took a very long time, and also he forgot to take our suitcases .. Also in breakfast some of the guests were given a special dish while we were not, it gave an unpleasant feeling that we were not retreated the same as others But besides these- all was perfect

We had an incredible time during our stay at Royal River! Lydia, the manager was very hospitable and ensured we had a fantastic stay. Samir at the reception helped us with a smooth check in and had excellent recommendations of restaurants around the island. The rooftop restaurant was gorgeous with views of the sea and mountains, we really appreciated that they had a special vegetarian menu for us! Also enjoyed the breakfast spread especially the Churros and violinist by the pool on Sunday. The real highlight was of course the stunning blue and green river combined with our private pool! Absolutely loved the relaxing jacuzzi and infinity pool too. Cannot wait to come back and stay here! Luxury at its best.

This was probably the most beautiful hotel I've stayed in. We loved our stay so much and can't wait to go back. The decor was stunning, the room beautiful, beds so comfy and the private terrace with pool was just perfect for lounging around. Breakfast was great and breakfast setting beautiful. Shared pools were so lovely, relaxing and serene. It was just the perfect stay. We felt like we were in the middle of a Balinese jungle!

It's expensive considering it's Tenerife, but it's worth the money if you're only staying for a few days and book in advance to get a better price. You also pay a premium to eat in the hotel restaurants, but the food, service & setting is great. It's a 20 min walk to the nearest beach and restaurants, and very hilly, so recommend taking a taxi back (uphill). Taxi is only 5-10 mins and 5-7 euros so not bad at all.
