It was comfortable but a bit dated.

We paid for a family suite to have extra room floor space and a third twin to place our bags. When we checked in and went to room not a family suite. I went back to front desk asked about the family suite. They said they moved our room because there were only 2 of us not 3. We had paid more to have a family suite . Front desk lady not nice or accommodating. We felt a bit cheated with the smaller room space after paying for the family suite.

EVERYTHING! And that’s just not enough, the location of the facility is amazing. Very close to both stations. The cleanliness of the hotel was top tier, but if I had to choose what I found to be the best was the staff. Starting with the manager Simone who goes above and beyond for her guest. Helia who works at the bar/restaurant is amazing, one of the sweetest people I met, with an incredible attention to detail. All the staff from kitchen, to service to front desk is what will make us return. I loved it here and will be considering a home away from home for years to come!! Couldn’t thank you all enough!

Great location, short distance to train station, shops and restaurant. Excellent facilities including sauna, steam room and the free shuttle service really helps for a family with children and heavy luggages. Delicious buffet breakfast and plenty of options, afternoon snack is also good. Superb customer service, kitchen staff were nice and polite. Special thanks to Doreen on the reception for a warm welcome and  providing lots of information on local attractions and how to get around, excellent customer service. She made us feel a very valuable customer. Very  relaxing accomodation, the room is clean we would like to come back.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of the town but set a street back so it is sheltered from the noise of the main street. Also very convenient for the main train station and the Gornergrat train. The staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was pleasant to stay in. It has a lovely reception, seating, bar and dining areas. We stayed in the main hotel on the 4th floor (409). Our room had a big corner balcony with lovely views down the valley and of the mountains (not the Matterhorn itself but you can't have everything!). Breakfast was buffet style served from 7.00am, and it was all very nice. They also do complimentary afternoon coffee/tea and cakes.

There is nothing wrong with the traditional Swiss style but our room and the corridor to it was a little dated and tired in places. We did glimpse some of the other rooms and they looked modern and updated. However there was nothing wrong with our room itself, it was clean and a decent size.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was updated and immaculate. The included, breakfast was delicious and the complimentary, afternoon tea offered many sweet selections. The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of the main train station and the Gornergrat Bahn railway. It is also within a 17 minute walk to the gondola that takes one to the Klein Matterhorn. We were able to walk every place we wanted to see from this hotel. The outside of the hotel is beautiful with flowers adorning each balcony. The hotel is located on a quiet side street but within a couple minute walk of the main street with all the shops and restaurants.

When we booked the hotel we could not book two night in the same room due to unavailability. However, Allia volunteered to look into the matter and when we returned after lunch, she had sorted it out, and we needn't change rooms the next night. This was excellent service and done without a fuss. The icing on the cake for this hotel is that there is sumptuous afternoon for guests, FOC! Given the service and the facilities, the price was very reasonable.

We found this hotel from Booking.com as usual and chose this hotel according to the location and the room specifications as well as previous reviews. Two nights of our stay in this hotel was quite impressive and there were nothing unsatisfactory at all. Room’s size is fine, bathroom is well equipped, and bed is comfortable. Our room had balcony with mountain and town view. The afternoon tea and coffee for all guests was a value added. Receptionists and other staff were helpful and flexible to guest’s requests. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much.

Nothing, it is understandable that it is not possible to see Matterhorn from the balcony.

Staff really friendly, available and caring about our staying. Room clean, comfortable and very quite. Wellness available for free and enjoyable after an intensive day walking or skiing. Breakfast with many food varieties, everything fresh and delicious!

Difficult to find out something we didn't like. The staff and the entire location made our little trip to Zermatt a fantastic journey! A tiny suggestion might be to keep the sauna open also during the morning time and not only in the afternoon.

Location was excellent, just around a corner from the train station. Beautiful flowers on the balconies. We had great view of the mountains. The room and bathroom was very spacious, clean and modern. Breakfast selection was excellent, in particular really tasty bread, bacon and cheese. Great selection of different teas. Food in Italian restaurant was of the highest quality, best pumpkin ravioli I ever had. We also used laundry service which was quick and good value for money.

- in our room wi-fi signal was poor but worked great in the lobby/ restaurant. - one suggestion I would give would be a small table on the balcony for the drinks.
