Location was excellent as it was only 5 mins walk from the SBB train station and train up to matterhorn viewing point. There are several restaurants nearby.Check-in was very smooth and fuss-free, we arrived early and left our luggage at the reception. When we returned later before check-in time, our luggage have been sent up to our room already. The room faced the inner courtyard which is quiet from the main street. Breakfast spread was great, comprising hot and cold food, with fruits and a good selection of bread. Overall, the stay was very pleasant.

Breakfast selection was lovely and able to cater to gluten free, ride to the train station with heavy baggage in snow appreciated and lovely bar and restaurant on site. Very quiet, considering the location - easy to sleep!

Water from the shower went all over the floor each time. The doors open with a key, not a smart card which I assume is for noise purposes as they are heavy doors however there were multiple instances when housekeeping unlocked and opened the door whilst we were in the shower in the morning without knocking and there was no sign for the door to say ready for housekeeping which made me feel rather uncomfortable due to a perceived lack of privacy.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, less than 3 minutes walking distance to the Zermatt railway station, making our stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel itself is efficient and has provided us with exceptional convenience. The rooms are clean and super spacious, and both the reception and restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating, significantly enhancing our overall experience. Additionally, the breakfast is included in the room rate, and the variety of food offered is decent. It is super suitable for family travelers.

Amazing location. Beautiful room and wonderful breakfast. Staff was helpful and accomodating. They even opened the gorgeous spa early just for the three of us! Loved the relaxing saunas and amenities at the spa. The cozy bar in the lobby with fireplace was lovely for happy hour. The restaurant was awesome and open all day as opposed to many that close mid day. Had a wonderful time at Hotel Pollux!!

Hoped for a hot tub in the spa area but the saunas were great.

We had a lovely room with doors that could open and you could look down on the street or across rooftops to the mountains. Hotel is close to the train station. Breakfast was nice especially getting a pot of coffee and a pot of warm milk. They also cooked perfect soft boiled eggs and nice fried eggs as well as supplying a buffet with bread, cold meats and cheese. Front staff friendly and helpful.

breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast i’ve ever had. it was so delicious and made to order. i cannot believe how amazing it was and overlooking the downtown area. so cute and delicious and a wide variety of options! the room was also lovely and the balcony was such a nice addition to an already cozy and clean room. the lights above the bed were unique and cute!

Fantastic location close to the train station, perfect for walking and all activities. Fabulous room with great views and very relaxing atmosphere. Good breakfast and excellent dinner in the evening in the restaurant. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Zermatt.

Service at breakfast could have been a better, we were left waiting for quite a while before we could order, but no big deal really.

Great breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff. I stayed in the single room with gallery and it was a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. There is plenty of space between you and the ceiling when lying on the bed so it does not feel claustrophobic at all.

Nothing. But a slightly earlier check in time would be more convenient. ( though they are kind enough to look after your bags if you arrive early)

Great location. Easy walk from the train station. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice linens. A complete breakfast, a small made-to-order menu in addition to a buffet of fresh fruit, delicious breads, smoked salmon, cheeses and the like. Very nice outdoor space - although part of the bar/lounge, we were free to sit and enjoy the sun without ordering a beverage. Staff was polite but not very personal. All in all, a very stress free and very enjoyable stay.

Our family traveled all around Switzerland in August 2022 and this was our favorite hotel. It was the best set up. Our two daughters had bunk beds in a room separated by a sliding door. They also had a separate bathroom and tv. I wish every hotel had this set up. It also had a balcony that looked into the town. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs and it was awesome. You could only see the Matterhorn from a window in the hall, but we saw it up close anyway and you really need to do that to experience it. We hope that one day we actually go skiing in zermatt . If we do, we know we’ll stay here.
