Small clean hotel. The hotel owner/manager is super involved in creating a great space for her guests (nothing is too much trouble). Great breakfast.

Although the hotel wasn't far away from the train station/Bahnhofstrasse (about 10mins walk) it seems very far when carrying suitcases (especially as the last part is uphill). I only found out afterwards I could have taken the tram from airport as it stops right outside hotel.

The staff is out of this world. Every detail counts, for example, upon my arrival (an incredibly hot day), I just loved being offered an ice cream as a welcome gift. They are supernice and made my stay supercomfortable, even helped me with the tram ticket machine to get to the airport. Also, the location is great: 15 min walk to downtown, two steps away (truly two steps) from the tram station that gets to the airport, 10 min walk to the train station. It is located on uphill, so the view from my room was also lovely. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I come back to Zurich.

The kitchen staff was very kind, excellent food and service, clean and appetizing. "Jost" in the kitchen, sorry, I didn't get her name, wonderful lady. Serge at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, perfect English, nice man. We have been at this hotel, probably 5 times, starting in 1997. stayed 2 times in rooms on the 4th floor, in 2009 we were on the 4th floor again, 2017, we were in a room on the 7th floor, fabulous view, nice room, This year we were on the 6th floor.

Walking distance from the main train station, which is the hub for travel. You can travel from there to any place in Zurich as well as Switzerland. Also walking distance from a large supermarket and many bars and restaurants. The no 10 tram stops right in front of the hotel and this is the tram you can take from the airport. Very convenient. This tram also also take you to the main train station. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and are doing a great job.

The rooms are very basic. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room would be very nice.

It is well located within short walking district of the train station, core downtown shops and restaurants as well as further buses.

Great location & great staff at the reception

It’s OK to start the cleaning early during the weekend (8:00AM) but the cleaning staff MUST be less noisy and clean the rooms w/ more delicacy. I thought there was a war in the room next door as well as in the corridor when they were doing the cleaning! It’s a weekend after all, the guests have right to sleep a bit longer without being waken by this.

Personnel was friendly to help with check-in and serving a refreshing drink upon arrival. Breakfast was good and served hygienically. Hotel is situated near the Central Station, although it requires a short tram ride, or some stairs and a hill to reach it. Check-out was fast(!).

App of HotelBird didn't work for check-in, was solved with help from staff. As the hotel is situated in a crowded area there were parties outside, so had to sleep with closed windows.

The location is excellent. The tram right out front is very good & free. Take line 6 or 10 to get to main railway or to airport. Staff at reception very helpful & cheerful. Room was small but all that was needed.

That there's no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Also no free toiletries but rather a general soap dispenser in shower.

the reception was superb, they have a magic power to make people feel welcomed and goes the extra mile to ensure that we arrive. Was given a lot of recommendation on what to do and where to go. location were fantastic! It has a tram just right infront of the hotel , which connects directly to airport ! So if you have bulky luggage - this is very convenient.

no kettle in room - but if you need hot water- you can get it from the common area in the reception.

Really good location: just few minutes from the main train station and walking street, but quiet at the same time. Clean, comfortable - it just feels good.

Get ready to find your passport in depths of your luggage during check-in, whereas nobody else asking for it in the EU:) Also a bit rugous process to connect to WiFi. But all those are just nitpicks, the hotel is good!
