The staff at the reception were so unfriendly, no smiles, no saying welcome. Felt as if we were intruding on their space. After a 25 hour journey it would of been nice to be greeted in a better way. The breakfast was lovely, and Catherine needs an award for the best customer service. She is AMAZING. She remembered peoples coffee and tea preferences. The room was great, good size, beds were soo comfortable felt like I was in a cloud.. Room was kept clean.

Sour staff at reception, never acknowledged anyone. At checkout they were even more sour.

-Walkability Just few minutes from HB Zurich. Trams stop is practically at the Hotel street. Public transport to go everywhere is just on the corner. The iconic Polybahn entrance is also around the corner next to Starbucks -Rooms Spacious enough for two persons. It has everything we needed including a great bathroom. Clean room -First impressions were really good. We came early than the check-in time, asked if we could just store our luggages, come back at 15 hrs but the guy in reception David checked for us if the room is ready so we can already get in and it was. Our planning for exploring Zurich city was done quicker because of this. -Noteworthy details Coffee & tea in the room -The airco was already set up when we got in -Hospitable, friendly reception both the day and evening staff which was a rare thing from our experienced. This was our 5th Hotel in our Switzerland trip. The best so far in all aspect. We felt very welcome as guest.

Nothing really, maybe just a suggestion, to add more warm food/meat options aside from eggs

Very convenient for Central Station just a short walk accross the river and tram stop at the end of the street. The Station has many eateries, shops and a Coop convenience store where you can buy food drinks for your journey or just to take with you exploring Zurich for the day. Walking distance to the Lake and nearby restaurants. Room 404 is spacious and well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful with choices of cereals breads, cakes, cold meats, scrambled and boiled eggs, friuit salad, cherry tomatoes,cucumber, jams. Juices. Great coffee. Soy milk option provided. Friendly breakfast waitress. Easy checkin and check out. Friendly reception staff. City map provided. Extremely comfortable beds and pillow menu.

No PowerPoint next to the bed for charging phones although there were others in the room.

The hotel is in a great location - close to the station and old town. The bed was comfy and the windows had good double glazing while still being openable. The window next to the bed also had shutters to help reduce the heat and light. The receptionists were friendly and helpful.

There were some minor niggles. The shower had a soap holder (which was better than many hotels), but this wasn't firmly fixed so it could easily be knocked off. There were no power points next to the bed for charging phones etc - the only ones were on the desk (the desk setup was good, though). The air conditioning is a bit noisy to run at night, and the fan in the bathroom seems to be permanently on so we left the bathroom door closed so we didn't hear it. The (included) breakfast wasn't very exciting - not much variety in fruit and cold meats. In fact, the only reason we knew there were cold meats at all was that we saw someone else ask for them.

Location was great, it was away from busy noise, it was nice and quiet. Literally round a corner you have a street full of cafes/restaurants/bars & starbucks. 5-10 mins from main train station & 5 mins away from tram stops. 5-10 mins to walk to Lake Zurich. Room was a nice size, had a large double bed, very clean. I did request a quiet room due to me being a light sleeper and they give me a room on the 4th floor away from the lift, it was great. Breakfast was nice, hot food was available if requested, they had a good variety.

If I had to say something, there was no iron inside your room. You probably could request one but I didnt ask.

A really spacious room with comfortable beds and good facilities. The location was fantastic just a couple of minute walk to the train station and in the heart of the old town.

Despite having two air con units it was still really warm at night and you can’t open the windows because of the neighbouring bars. The bathroom was interesting, it was a great size but would prefer a proper wall and door I felt like you could hear through the unusual green (plastic?) doors. We had trouble getting breakfast on the second day it was so busy and at 9.30 not much was left so didn’t bother.

I like the location - I usually stay at the Plaza nearby but they were fuly booked. The hotel felt very welcoming and without exception, all the staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable.

However, I think you are much more expensive than The Plaza nearby which is where I usually stay - also there was no phone charging spot in the room and I couldn't switch one of the lights off - I had had a very long day and couldn't be bothered to get someone to look at it at eleven o'clock at night. I slept with it on.

The location was 5min away from the Hauptbahnhof station and close to Coop supermarket as well as other restaurants and Cafes. I was lucky that it was sunny for 3 days out of my 3.5 days in Zurich so I enjoyed the walking to the Altstadt and Belveue area. If you like Italian gelato and sweets as well the famous Rosti and traditional Swiss food, you have many choices. The staff are amazing: Anna Maria is friendly and ever willing to support and recommended me the Sorrel Hotel Zurichberg's outside terrace restaurant with its stunning view specially during sunset and delicious food while watching the Swiss mountains and houses. It is on too of a hill and beyond the zoo. Linda with her welcoming smile and greeting is also helpful and helped in answering my clarifications and many questions. Soheil during the late shift is always willing to help and answer questions about any inquiry about Zurich Kati during the breakfast time single handedly took care of more than 10 - 12 guests at a time. She even remembered my favourite coffee in the morning. Thank you Sorrel Hotel Rutli and Management and group for hiring such wonderful staff who made my 3.5 at the hotel very memorable and welcoming. I shall be back to stay at your hotel and other Sorrel hotels.

There is nothing that I did not like.

Near by the train station only 5 minutes walk. Room is spacious as described on their website. Breakfast is adequate has cheese and eggs but not as grand like others having salad, bacons and cold cuts.

Front desk staff should know better about transportation in the city. When I asked him where is dock near by the lands museum for the river boat, he said I have to go the lake front to find out which boat is available for Swiss pass. Obviously he did not catch my question and didn’t know too well about lake cruise neither.

Excellent room after I asked not to be opposite the lift on the first floor - The breakfast was just awful and was not worth the cost at all - There was no warning in the website that it was a meal for vegans with no meats bacon and only revolting vegan sausages - I paid for a full breakfast which should have included the meats bacon etc for those who are not vegans and whose stomach and metabolism require these at breakfast. I will not pay for an expensive breakfast again as I am not and will not be converted to the rip off fashion of veganism - clearly this suits the hotel who charge good/full money but do not provide the food promised. A very sad end to my stay.

Awful Vegan breakfast with revolting vegan sausages - no meats or bacon which I was promised on the website and paid for a full breakfast. I shall not pay for breakfast at this hotel again as it is clearly NOT value for money.
