Sorell Hotel Zürichberg

The location was great with an amazing view. The location made it was easy to use the tram to get around. The parking on site was nice if you are a renting a car or driving into the city for your stay and the easy access to the garage from the main lobby was considerate convenient. The breakfast was incredibly good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

My husband gets really really hot at night so we made sure to pay for a room with AC. The AC did not work. We ended up opening the windows every night which was fine until the last night when it was actually pretty warm out so it just made trying to sleep a tad tough.

The location is in the wood literally, which i loved, surrounded by nature, view of the lake, gorgeous terraces, green all around and full of flowers. It’s not new and modern, but it has a certain charm to it, and the quietness and tranquility is all worth it.

It could be cleaner in certain areas (my bathrobe was full of woman hair, the bathroom could have been cleaner as well). The breakfast consisted of the same ailments every day, maybe change it up a bit every other day would be good. I did not get new cups and coffee capsules after we’ve used the ones in the room either. But these are just small things. Of course, could be improved, but still i liked my stay and enjoyed .

Booking through booking.com allowed only inputting age of kids up to 4 years old which caused a bit of a waiting time during check in until resolved the issue of booking.

A hotel with a special cozy atmosphere. Excellent breakfasts (egg dishes, juices, pastries - everything was very tasty), good rooms with a large bed and a bathroom. The location is good, 15 minutes by tram 6 to the center and the main train station. Very nice view from the terrace.

Audibility, if someone walks along the corridor at night, even in a whisper, it will still be heard. Pillows, but there is a pillow menu, so you can choose the right one. Upon arrival the room was very stuffy, as if the room was specially heated to the maximum.

I had a wonderful stay at Sorell Hotel Zurichberg, the lake view was absolutely breath-taking and the surroundings were so tranquil which really allowed for a relaxing getaway. The staff at front desk were extremely friendly and helpful albeit the staff at breakfast did seem a little gloomy, perhaps it was the rain that day lol. The rooms were well equipped and so incredibly clean, the cleanliness of this hotel is the best I've seen in over a decade of frequent travel. While the hotel is slightly off the city, we had a car and it was such an easy drive to get there, and there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was sumptuous, there was a buffet of cheeses, grains, breads and fruit and we also had the option to order hot foods such as eggs and bacon from the wait staff. 20 stars and highly recommend!

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip. The location was very convenient with just 4mins walk to the tram and bus. The staff at the hotel was very friendly, attentive to details and made extra efforts to accommodate our requests. We had a crib requested in our room and it was really cute with a hotel branded Teddy bear that my son loved very much. The breakfast provided was also amazing with plenty of choices and freshly baked goodies. The room also had luxury body products from rituals within an option to buy from the hotel which i thought was a very nice touch. The Zurich zoo is within walking distance from the hotel and you can also enjoy the picturesque views of Lake and nearby scenery from the hotel with outdoor seating area.

I liked the underground parking, it was super convenient. Also the room amentities were very nice. what surprised a lot a yoga mat in the room and a toy for the bath, which my child immediately used while bathing. everything was exceptionally clean. we also ordered a room service and the food was fresh and tasty. I was very pleasantly surpized by everything in this hotel - all the stuff was speaking english with me, very polite. Breakfast was very charming with the retro water kettle and very nice ladies asking how to please us. The selection of food on breakfast was more than enough for our family. we had a really nice time and would like to extend our stay but it was impossible because it was so full!!!! I attach to the review my amazing view from the room! that was just remarkable ❤️❤️❤️

it was so full that we could not book it for the second night, it occurred that it is very popular destination in Zurich.

Beautiful location 1.5 miles up the hill from Old town, right at the base of a nature park with walking trails. Sweeping views of Zurich from the grounds. Easy walk down the hill to get to Old town and across the river to Bahnofstrasse. Delicious breakfast with pastries, cheeses, meat and eggs.

The mattress was hard and the pillow were limp, and the wood floors made the hallway noisy. No way to get coffee early in the morning.

our room was over the entrance to the underground garage, had a bit of traffic noise. also arriving guests: cars stopping right under our window to drop/collect passengers. out the front there was a party at a sports club going on late that night, which was unrelated to the hotel but unfortunate. noisy music into the early hours despite the remote location which should normally be quiet.

Everything. Period. We loved our 3-night stay. Staff were helpful especially Jason and who made our stay more pleasant and amazing. The room was cozy and big and clean. The view from balcony is extraordinary. Perfect for travelers who prefer spacious accommodation. Breakfast was superb too. Location is good, if you prefer the natury feels then this is the prefect hotel for you, noise-free from the center. The Tram is a 5-minute walk and 14 minutes travel time to reach Zurich HB. Will definitely come back in spring time (fingers crossed).
