Roc of Cappadocia feels like home away from home. 1. Location: Heart of Goreme, 2 mins walk to the main road with restaurants, shops etc 2. Friendly staff & management: Goes above & beyond. Special mention to Umar has he’s very helpful. Management is essentially mother & son duo, they make you feel at home, offer their produce (Apricot etc), have casual chats etc. They also offered us free breakfast ahead of our check-in as we came in early. 3. Tour & Airport transfer support: As soon as you book, they send you a in-app/website private message with whatsapp no. You can contact them and they help you book Airport transfer, Hot Air Balloon and other tours (Red & Green Tours). Support for Hot air Balloon is particularly important as they get filled pretty quickly. Other tours are standard in Cappadocia but its always more convenient to book from your own hotel. 4. Hotel itself: BEAUTIFUL! Flowers and fruit (grapes) all around. Staffs work hard to keep the hotel pretty. With the caves all around, the place looks magical. They also have nice terraces (x3 in different levels) where you can just chill and appreciate what’s around you. 5. Room: We loved out Cave room. Its real cave! It also have a pretty big jacuzzi! 6. Breakfast: Very authentic and simple breakfast with good platter. We loved it.

There is nothing negative to mention about Roc of Cappadocia. We loved it thoroughly! Just to manage expectation please note, it’s a boutique hotel and you won’t get Gym or in-room dining here. However, they assist you in connecting you to the nearby restaurants who delivers to your room (can pay via card as well).

This is a family owned and family run hotel. The staff were welcoming and hospitable. All of the local trips can be organised by the hotel. We didn’t want to join any tours and instead benefitted from advice on self-guided hikes in the area. The view of the hot air balloons from the terrace was spectacular and very convenient given that the balloons take off to watch the sunrise. The gardens of the hotel deserve a special mention. The flowers were beautiful and fragrant and watching and listening to the swallows from the terrace was a lovely way to spend an hour or two. The plunge pool provided welcome respite from the heat of the day. The breakfast omelettes were delicious. We highly recommend this hotel.

This was a fantastic place to stay. We booked the King Room, and it was HUGE. We loved the way it was decorated and that it was built into a rock. We also loved the dining area for breakfast with the beautiful clean kitchen right there where they prepare the delicious food. It was also in a very good location. We had an issue with leaving a mobile phone in the back seat of a taxi late at night. The staff managed to contact the driver, and we had our phone back by breakfast the next morning. We were VERY grateful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They organised our balloon ride and the red and green tours for us. This is a family run hotel, and it feels that way when you stay there. We loved it and would highly recommend it.

Breakfast: Live omelette station is provided, buffet could be improved on hot items. Room (Cave room): Room was big, spacious bathroom, great feel. Balloons rising is visible from the room and that is magical. Steps to reach the cave room, be mindful of the climb with luggages. Location: great at the heart of the township, walkable distance to amenities ( less than 10 minutes) Reception has arranged for turkish night delight at night at 45 euros.

Everything is good, however, breakfast could be improved, swimming pool is small and serve the purpose (if you just needed a dip)

We had a 3 nights stay at the deluxe triple room (not cave room, no need to climb stairs). Room size was just nice for 3 adults and equipped with adequate facilities. On our first night, staff has warmed our room with heater. Our first breakfast was served to us directly as we were the only group of guests in the hotel. Subsequent breakfasts were served in buffet style. The hotel has a few terraces where you can view the sceneries of Cappadocia. Hotel is close to many restaurants and shops, but there is slope if you walking back to hotel from Cevizler Sk. Special thanks to Omar who has helped to fix the door knob issue.

Bathroom lighting could be better. Room facilities abit basic.

Staff were second to none and made our stay special. A big thank you to Umar who really helped us throughout the stay. Ahmed ( If I remember the name correctly) Owners son was also very helpful in our bookings for activities. Location was very central a easy walk from the main road - easily manageable with kids. Property was very well maintained and had a very nice ambiance. we stayed in family cave room , which was very spacious , beds were really comfortable and toilet facilities were modern with touch of Turkish elegance. highly recommended.

Perfectly located -> 2 min walking distance to the city centre of Göreme, located in a calm place where you can perfectly see the hot air balloons (see pic)! The breakfast was amazing, fresh food. Staff was amazing, they were 24/7 available when you needed them. The cave room was also so beautiful + clean and asthetically pleasing. I highly recommend this hotel. Will definetly book again, when I go back.

Location is very close to restaurants and shopping. Also the breakfast is really great. Plus the whole hotel is covered in flowers, fruit trees, vines etc which is magical. It also has a great view to the hot air balloons. Pool is well maintained.

Little bit of hike with your luggage up and down which the owners offered help. But again this tiny hike is thru the magical fruit garden.

Cute hotel with good views of the hot air balloons. Staff were very friendly and helpful in booking our shuttles to and from the airport as well as our hot air balloon, green tour and red tour. The tours were €45 per person and the hot air balloon €230 per person. I think the prices were reasonable and all the activities were very well organized and great experiences. Our first morning was our balloon ride which we got picked up at 6:30am, way later than I thought based on blogs and whatnot that I've read so this was a relief. You're back by the hotel by around 8:15am and breakfast here was 8:00-10:00am. Enough time to eat and get ready to be picked up for the tours at 9:40am. The hotel replenishes water bottles every day in your room and has coffee and tea, kettle and mini fridge in the room. There are two terraces, a lower one that has two sections connected by a bridge that is very spacious and also an upper terrace that is all rugged up and adorable. Views of the balloons were great! The hotel also has very good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower as well as toiletries. Some disposable slippers are provided. Breakfast was typical Turkish spread with cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, some fried items like fries and these fried savoury fritter things and sigara borek (like a rolled feta fried thing). There's also honey and other spreads and bread, coffee, instant coffee and tea granules, brewed tea and hot water. The staff can also make you eggs made to order (scrambled, omelette and fried egg). You can get laundry done but it was quite pricey, in past reviews I noted it would be 70 lira for 5kg but now it is €10 per machine, I think I probably had about 15 kg of clothes at most but it took 4 machines which was a crazy amount to pay for laundry but we were only at the half way point of our trip so it was necessary.

As I mentioned, pretty expensive laundry service and they didn't have fitted sheets so the flat sheet keeps getting messed up. The doors also opened and closed really loudly so very early in the morning you'll definity hear people going in and out of their room but everything else was wonderful.

We had the comfort room. Only one of the bedroom and a part of the bathroom is in a cave. A/C is only in the open area; so if it got warm, it got warm. Location is not bad. Its off the main street and a lot of the tour guides had no idea about the place, but everyone found it on google maps. The place has a lot of fruits growing. Grapes, tomatoes, apples, pears. It has a very nice garden vibe to it. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

The other room is very close and since there isn't an A/C, you have to sleep with the windows open. Your neighbor's actions might disturb you.
