Very good facilities at this IHG-run hotel. Crowne Plaza is conveniently located right next to the light rail. There is also a Coles express across the road. The service from the staff at the front desk is excellent with friendly staff and a can-do attitude, clearly all members of a finely tuned team that is customer-service focused. Superb buffet breakfasts are served in their atrium. Room service meals are also good and delivered in a timely manner. The room itself is spacious and has an abundance of natural light, and a great ocean view, albeit obstructed by buildings. Mini bar, stone bathroom and large LG smart TV complete the room. Bonus bottled water in the fridge a terrific touch and much appreciated! What more do you want?

My room unfortunately featured a locked interconnecting door which meant the soundproofing was less than desirable. You could hear everything that was going on in the room next door. I really thought that a hotel of this calibre would have better soundproofing, so consider these types of rooms when booking. There was one night I didn't get any sleep due the activities of the couple next door, however I was compensated by the font desk staff for this.

We had a corner king room which was large and spacious with great 180-degree views. The buffet breakfast was fabulous. The landscaping and pool area was a real feature. Although it was too cold to swim in at that time of year, it was lovely to relax by it in the sun. There is also a tennis court which we didn't know was available.

We arrived an hour before check-in time of 3pm. Although our room was ready we were told if we wanted early access we would have to pay $50. Not a very good customer-focused start. Fortunately one of the managers organised earlier entry without payment which was appreciated.

We were very impressed with the quality of everything. Loved the coffee pod machine and the complimentary water. We got a lovely surprise when we heard knock at the door, and my husband was given a bottle of bubbly for his 60th birthday. We also received vouchers for free drinks at the poolside bar. We had the buffet breakfast, which was excellent, so much choice, the best we've had in a very long time. All the staff were friendly, courteous, and very efficient, continually cleaning tables, removing the plates, and restocking the food. We would recommend the crown plaza hotel to everyone.

We were surprised by the carpark fee of $18 We felt sorry for people who have travelled a distance to sunny qld and stay for a week or more. It would end up making it very costly.

I really like that the room service is 24/7. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. The parking was easy, staff were lovely, rooms were sensational. Bedding very comfortable and the bath tub was perfect.

It was an extremely minor detail but we had one of our items ordered forgotten and it took a very long time to get in contact with someone to ask for it to be brought up. There was no answer from the room service button on the room phone and the mobile number listed to contact on the confirmation was not being answered. I had to call concierge to get in contact with them and by that stage it was very late.

Loved loved loved the staff! Super helpful and amazing for every little thing we asked them! We loved the location, loved the view, loved how easy we could access public transport and loved the little touches like the bowl of apples at reception and the free water in the lobby and the rooms. It was always clean and always smelled lovely in the lobby and bathrooms.

The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the hot water system would go completely cold or alternatively burn when showering. We would have liked to try breakfast but thought it was unreasonably expensive and I would have liked a business centre/room that I could utilise as I had uni assignments due and it was hard to work in my room. These are only small things though, overall our stay was amazing and the staff were so lovely!

Very good hotel. Spacious well kept rooms. Good room amenities. Got a 14th floor Ocean View room with balcony. Breathtaking views. Breakfast was superb. Though exactly same breakfast all the 3 days. Located on the main road with a team stop just opposite the hotel. Very comfortable to commute. Away from the noisy part of the city.

Renovations were going on. Hence, a little messy here and there.

I stayed in a room at 15th floor with ocean view. The view was amazing. The room was well equipped, the decoration was very nice. The breakfast was great (open-buffet). The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location was very close to the beach and also all the restaurants. I sincerely recommend it!

Nothing major. Just the coffee was really bad which I had during the breakfast so I had to take cappuccino from the coffee machine all the time. And there is no cleaning brush for the toilet at our bathroom. You need to wait for Housekeeping to clean the toilet. That’s a bit inconvenient to be honest but still, something very minor. FYI

Staff were super friendly- nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, spacious and large, with good light/ lighting. And we had an ocean view.The location was South of Surfers Paradise, so was quiet, and the tram stop was right outside which was handy for transport to this weekends marathon. And- when we arrived, we opened the sliding door to the (tiny) balcony, and were greeted by 3 very bold rainbow lorikeets who were on the railing looking for food.This was very cute!

The only criticism is that the walls are thin, and we could hear the youngsters squealing next door- we turned on the TV to mask the sound, and they did quieten down.

Help from staff and upgradation to a better room... Actually, heavy smoke started coming out of the Air con soon after we checked in. I had gone to park the car and my wife and daughter were there in room. The staff rushed to take them out of room safely and soon upgraded us to 18th Floor. Liked their gesture. Breakfast is excellent in Crowne Plaza. Really loved it. Hope they keep maintaining the same quality.

Check out time of 3:00 pm is too late :( One of the days, our room was not cleaned. Not a big issue though

Everything x The lovely lady at reception who checked me in was such a beautiful soul, told me all about the facilities and what I could do while staying with you all, she was so welcoming it made me wanna come back more often. I wish I could remember her name but she made my stay wonderful from the start and I love that. I hope she gets a raise or something for how hospitable she is towards people, good customer service is incredibly hard to find and I appreciated that she was so personable and welcoming. 5 star service, Crowne Plaza for the win 🤍

Didn’t read check out time, thought it was 12, receptionist knocked on door to advise it was time to check out, felt super bad for taking up her time but she was so lovely about it.
