Hotel Woodstock Ennis

Would have liked it included in the price of the room, but €13 is not bad for a great buffet style breakfast. Enjoyed having a good Irish breakfast!

I didn’t like the fact that they charged me an extra €50 for the second night. The owner explained that because less rooms were available they can charge me more for the room. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I was there on a Monday and Tuesday night, and paid €50 more for Tuesday than I did for Monday. Tried to get an explanation as to why this is their policy. Just because they have less rooms available doesn’t mean they should have the right to charge so much more for them. I should have at least had a breakfast included with the extra price of the room

Liked everything but somewhere along the line the breakfast disappeared from my booking and was not included when I booked breakfast as part of the room, I checked this was the case and in fact the room would have been less when I booked it if breakfast was not included. I recommended the same room to a friend and encouraged her to book it with breakfast with the idea we would do breakfast together. My friend when she booked because she booked last minute and paid straightaway she had breakfast included I didn’t! Staff claimed it was because it was booked directly with them when I showed them that was not the case because it was booked on her behalf, and would they agree to giving me breakfast because I would have paid less for the room otherwise they said no and I had to pay for me and two kids! The booking stated they would take the pay two days before but didn’t. Apart from this the hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed the stay!

Very pleasant staff, especially in Leisure Centre & Bar. Overall hotel is comfortable, clean & we enjoyed our stay. Open fire in reception area lovely & very welcoming. Bedroom was comfortable & good size for our group. Breakfast was good with good choice of hot food.

Reception area & bar eventhough comfortable & clean just lacking some atmosphere & extras. Selection of newspapers would be a simple & welcome addition. Also a selection of reading books & board games in reception area would be a nice touch. Personally I think a coffee dock or station at reception would also be great. Quality of pillows could be better in bedroom. Pool area was slightly disappointing, eventhough very clean temperature was definitely on cold side. Steam Room & Jacuzzi were out of order for our stay so we were disappointed with this.

Room was lovely; Leisure facility including Swimming Pool etc. great. Staff very good; Late bar very good.

While I was initially very happy going to booking.com at €131 for 1 night, I learned after booking that Hotel's own website had another offer @€109 that included breakfast and our €131 rate excluded breakfast:- that annoyed me and would put me off using booking.com in future for work or non work trips down the country - unless of course booking.com feel like refunding me difference between €131 and €109 and cost of 2 breakfasts !!!?

The property was very clean and only 5 mins by taxi to Ennis town centre. The staff were very nice and friendly and the food was excellent. Been a board failte tour guide I would recommend people to stay here. COVID-19 has taken a lot away from the industry so we need to support our hotels around the country.

Our room was No105 and it was right beside the laundry area if the hotel. We had no net curtain on our window so the room needed the lights on all the time as we had no privacy if we pulled back the curtain. Plus every morning people were moving laundry trolleys outside the window and talking. This is not a major criticism but it could be addressed.

Staff were fantastic. I arrived late, they rang to check if I was coming. Greeted with lovely fire burning, very friendly and helpful guy on reception, can't rem his name sorry. Went to bar for a drink after my long journey and again greeted by very friendly young lady..again I can't rem names as I did ask. It was no problem that I was a late guest and she checked if there was anything else I needed. Staff were busy sorting for breakfast etc and guy in reception was also covering other duties. All seemed happy to be there so all in all a lovely friendly atmosphere. Room was comfortable and spotless and I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The dinner was delicious with some intersting choices that were delicious. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of choice. A little mix-up as to when breakfast finishes mid-week times V's weekend times. we stayed mid week.

A beautiful hotel and friendly helpful staff. A bit more clarity perhaps on access to the swimming pool for kids, if I was to be constructive with my feedback. We would go back no problem as a family!

Beautiful setting our room looked out on golf course .Room clean and staff were very friendly and some very helpful.

We were very disappointed on the first morning .We were told the last sitting was at 10.15 so we were down just before 10 . We were then told all fresh fruit was gone and when my husband went to get his cooked breakfast there was no bacon or sausage one young waiter did try his best but it was only sausages and i have to say at least 2 other tables were effected by the problem it was very disappointing and we didnt eat any more in the hotel .

We thoroughly enjoyed the pub and your staff was lovely. Breakfast hit everybody’s needs, especially once we found out we could get coffees from your espresso machine😉 The pool facility was very appreciated by almost everybody. Golf was a great hit w the golfers. I loved that my windows opened and had a lovely green view! You accommodated our bedding needs for our little ones. You had a child friend vibe which also was much appreciated!

Room was lovely - clean and had a very comfortable bed. Very good dinner - cooked to a high standard. We had Salmon Parcel and Scotch Egg followed by Roast Hake and Featherblade Beef. Both delicious. Breakfast was good - however I would have loved a choice of eggs - only scrambled egg available. Options of poached / fried / omlette would have been lovely.

Bar is internal with very little natural light - Would have loved a window onto the lovely outdoors.
