Walking to the Smithsonian Museums was fairly easy to get to and not far. Bed was large and comfortable. Room was nicely furnished. Good quality furnishings and linens.

Front desk staff was not very welcoming. They did their job well but I didn't feel as though they liked their job. The restaurant had some delicious food and beverage options. Fairly expensive. I ordered the pork belly, on the recommendation from the waiter and it was 99% fat and hardly edible. I'm not one to return meals so I ate what I could and told the waiter my thoughts. There was no where else to relax or visit other than the bedroom or the restaurant. No outdoor patio or pool. That would have been a nice alternative. The shower was difficult because the partial door was not big enough to stop water from splashing on the bathroom floor which made it very slick. We are seeing a lot of these designs in bathrooms but the door just needed to be larger to prevent the excess spray.

The hotel is very well located! The room was clean and comfortable. The room included a small fridge, iron and iron board - which I appreciated. There was even an alarm clock next to the bed with the correct time (coming from Europe with a 6 hour time difference).

I have to admit I almost cancelled my reservation due to the negative review(s). However, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was perfect, clean and in good order. In addition, the staff extremely helpfull and was always prepared to assist - to even tell where I could find the best ice cream. I really to appreciate their friendliness. I had to take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt. I cannot complain!

Located right in the heart of DC and convenient to all the sights and many restaurants. We walked or rode electric scooters everywhere. The staff is attentive and pleasant. The bed was phenomenal- I wish I could have brought it home with me. Very clean and had everything we needed. The water pressure was phenomenal and so was their choice for bathing products (I’m actually looking into buying the brand for use at home). We would absolutely stay here again.

I’m fairly certain they charged us $61 a day for parking which I didn’t understand or foresee (having never stayed in a city like this and being new to the valet concept in use). Maybe that’s normal for a city but I can guarantee I’m not the only one who was shocked by it. It should be clear somewhere this is the case before you book a room.

The location is the best. You can see almost all the attractions by walk. The hotel is very nice, and the staff are great.

The room is acceptable, but the bathroom could use some modernization. The water in the tub was difficult to drain, after a shower the tub was still full of water for 15 minutes. The carpet is stained, the floor in the bathroom is worn, it looks like it is very dirty. The white blanket that is never washed was stained (blood). They used to vacuum only around the bed, the corners were very dirty. There was finger-thick dirt on the air conditioning vents. They clean it every day, but it's just to look like it's cleaned, but it's basically dirt.

My daughter and I were taking a small getaway. We chose the hotel for the location, which was excellent. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. AND the smell in the lobby-WOW. It was fantastic to have something so fragrant every time we entered the lobby. The staff was very helpful, kind and professional.

As is custom for hotels today, the mini-bar was not well-received by us due to it combining snacks and water with alcoholic beverages. It is very tempting for a family to grab without realizing the cost until after the sensor was activated and the room is charged. Providing a mini convenience area in the lobby would have offered variety in terms of snacks and would have had a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. As for the restaurant please have dishes that are non-dairy, my daughter didn't like anything on the adjusted menu and therefore had to settle on Five Guys and Chipolte.

Great location, within walking distance of the White House and the monuments. Housekeeping was excellent. Other staff were professional.

No pool, small fitness room, no microwaves. Anything we put in the refrigerator got completely frozen. No vending machines for snacks or drinks. There was a full-service restaurant, but it was expensive, and sometimes you just need a snack without using the expensive mini bar.

The location was perfect walking distance to every attraction we were looking for. We were provided a list of restaurants that are near by and was able to find a couple spots to try off of that list. The housekeeping was always timely and ensured that we had fresh towels for the room.

The tap water did not feel right. When showering, it felt as though I was showering in Pool/Chlorine water. I have very sensitive skin, so when showering or washing my face I notice that my skin would feel extra dry and become red. Not sure what is in the water, but for visitors like me that may be a concern.

Friendly staff, great location, initially I was given a room that was noisy, and furniture was shaking, however, I raised it with the front desk and they changed the room quickly.

I stayed 10 nights at the hotel and asked for a slight late check-out (1pm instead of 11am) so that I dont have to wait in the lobby before heading off to the airport. The frond desk told me that it would be extra charge. It is not a big deal but I would have expected a but more courtesy by providing just 2 hours of late check out.

This is the 4th time I have stayed at the Hamilton and I will likely stay again when I come to DC! The location is absolutely ideal near an easy metro stop in the center of the city. About a 10 minute walk to the White House. The food in the bar/restaurant is heavenly, the staff are friendly, the park nearby is great (they've cleaned it up and it really is a bonus amenity to the hotel now in my opinion), and everything was comfortable! Decent price.

The heat in the hotel was absolutely blazing to where it was hard to not be overheated. Even in the room, we could not get the heat to stop, but it was cold out and I haven't experienced this there before.

Location is perfect, downtown area close to The WH and walking distance to all majors attractions in Washington DC. Room had a nice street and park view. The bathroom was filled with all the necessary toiletries, and room cleaning service was once a day. Hotel personnel were all very courtesous and helpful in accomodating our requests. Will definitely choose again if we return to Washington DC.

Restaurant Via Sophie adiecent to the Hamilyon hotel is the only thing we did not like (wood fire pizza was too chewey, pasta dish tasty but very small portion).
