Location was excellent, food was good and room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. I liked that there was a cover over the peep hole in the door and the extra security of the bar you could open out over the door. As I was travelling with my daughter I felt safe in the room

We had a problem with payment being taken from the card used at the time of booking and not the payment card used at check-in as requested. Also one night our dinner order was not put through and when we asked about it it was then done. I would have expected there to be a hairdryer in the room.

My daughter was delighted with the availability of self made waffles for breakfast, but says that the mix was actually for pancakes rather than waffles (apparently there is a difference).

It would be nice to have a complinentary minibus shuttle service to the doors of the NEC when there are major events on, since many of your guests on such occasions will likely be staying for that purpose. (We had travelled from Ireland for the Autosport Show). We were not familiar with the shuttle monorail from the airport terminal. We walked over to the airport and got a taxi, which took about quarter of an hour. Being January, it could rasily have been raining, but fortunately it was dry. Even though the door of the hotel is no distance to the NEC as the crow flies, the walking route is quite a trek and involves use of unpaved pathways etc.

I asked for a high-floor room, well-away from the lifts, and overlooking the airport apron; and the hotel was able to accommodate my request. In fact, I was given exactly the same room as I had stayed in before on a previous visit. This hotel is massively convenient when flying from Birmingham Airport, because it is directly opposite the airport terminal, and literally less than a five minute walk from the hotel reception to the airport check-in desks. A quality airport hotel, and I personally wouldn't stay anywhere else when flying from Birmingham.

I asked for a similar room for my travelling colleagues, but unfortunately, even though the hotel had originally planned to give us adjoining rooms; their room wasn't ready due to a late check-out by the previous guests, so my colleagues were given a different room. Although unfortunate, that was most definitely NOT the fault of the hotel, so I cannot mark the hotel down in any way.

The hotel was a few minutes walk from the arrival terminal. This was very convenient as we had taken a late flight (arrival time 10 pm). The room was very comfortable for a one-night stay. The kettle was not working, but this was fixed promptly by the staff. We were renting a car for a day trip the next day. The car rentals were a few minutes walk from the hotel, so we were able to head out very early with ease. The check-out was quick and efficient. Overall very satisfied and will book this hotel again when we visit Birmingham again later this year.

So close to the airport. Food was great, really good breakfast. Extremely clean. Friendly staff, bar one. I’ve never flown from Birmingham but wouldn’t hesitate to do so gain and I would choose this hotel.

One member of staff who interfered twice when I was being served at the bar. Once when we were looking at which wine to order, we asked for a gavi, he felt the need to speak over the barman’s shoulder to tell us that we would have to buy a bottle (that was our intention anyway) and then when I was ordering a final drink and settling the tab he felt the need to interfere and told the barman that we had a tab (it was already brought up on the till and I was in the process of settling up). I’m not sure if he thought that we looked like vagrants but that’s how he made us feel.

We stayed at the hotel to attend a weekend event at the NEC. It’s also right next to Birmingham Airport so we were able to get a nifty speed shuttle (taking just 90 seconds and free of charge) from the airport to the NEC. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly the young lady who checked us in, on arrival. We were on the top floor, which is more expensive, which we were advised was due to the enhanced views of the airport runway. On booking via Booking.com, I wasn’t offered any other option, which I assumed was based on the fact that there were three of us staying in the one room and an additional bed would need to be prepared (this was the pull out sofa bed). There was an issue with the television, which wasn’t working. This may sound minor but given that we had paid £540 for two nights stay, we felt that everything should be pretty much perfect. However, on advising the staff member on reception (same person who checked us in), she immediately offered us another room, on a lower floor and arranged for a refund of the difference in price, which I received in my account within 48 hours. I do feel that the rooms are over priced but there were many positives: 1) extremely friendly and helpful staff (including the restaurant staff); 2) Menu options for evening meals were good (although, again, quite pricey); 3) Breakfast was great. So many different options and the time frame in which breakfast is served was very reasonable and accommodating; 4)Rooms were very nice (but we were slightly cramped, with the sofa bed opened up); 5) Rooms were spotless. The room was cleaned, bed made and fresh towels provided during our stay I would say, that if you needed an overnight stay prior to taking a flight from Birmingham Airport, this hotel was is in the perfect location.

Too expensive for what it is.

Nice hotel, plenty of rooms, our twin room was lovely with plenty of room, nice big bathroom, very clean. The bar was nice but expensive, we both had some chicken sizzlers (like fajitas) with a soft drink and an apple juice which cost around £45. Breakfast was nice, everything was buffet style and help yourself. Some things did run out quickly but were replaced quite fast when asked by the staff. Staff were nice and friendly. Ideally located for the airport, the NEC or Resorts World. Lots of parking nearby.

Bed wasn’t fantastically comfortable

The room qas quiet and spacious. It was also close to the lift fhaft, thanks to the very helpful young woman on reception. the staff were all helpful and pleasant.

A walk-in shower would have been good. My wife and I are both OAPs and we don't find climbing into a bath a safe thing to do. Had it been a walk in shower, we would almost certainly have used it. As it was, we didn't. The other thing was the difficutly for two elderly people of walking our suitcases from the terminal to the hotel.

Only that it was near to the airport it was clean and nice , are names wasn’t down for breakfast which we had booked and payed for with booking.com so that was of putting wasn’t happy about that , but they sorted it out after I showed them my booking

The only thing about this property was that there was nothing to do , what u should have done is book a hotel At resort world then took a taxi to the airport for me , had to book a taxi to take me to resort world and one back so for me it would have worked out much better and save in money in taxi

We stopped here for Crufts weekend, really good location just a short walk to the airport and onto the air rail link which took us straight to the NEC free of charge! The rooms was spacious, clean and comfortable. Couldn't fault the staff!

Parking is quite expensive with no onsite parking facilities therefore we had to park in the airport parking which is priced at around £60 a night however reduced to half price with a discount code provided from the hotel
