When we first arrived we saw that we had our very own parking space with a personalised welcome greeting which was a lovely touch. We were greeted by a very nice man (sorry can't remember name) who offered us a hot drink and then went through the hotel information & offered some advice on places to visit and nice places to eat. He also took down our continental breakfast preferences (you can also choose from a cooked selection on the day). Our room was lovely, very cosy & tastefully decorated in light neutral colours. It had a four poster bed (they laid out rose petals as was out anniversary!) and even though it was at the top of the annexe barn conversion it didn't feel cramped. The bathroom looked brand new and was fabulous, very large shower with both handheld and rain shower heads. The breakfast was delicious, got all our continental choices spot on and when we asked to leave out a couple of items from the full english our waitress offered us 2 alternatives, she was very professional and friendly. The location was also excellent, Brockenhurst is a charming village right in the middle of the New Forest with plenty of scenic walks nearby. They have wild ponies, donkeys, cows and even pigs! In the evening we chose to eat at a lovely family run Italian called Enzee, would definitely recommend. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return to the Cottage Lodge Hotel if we ever staying in the New Forest again.

The hot tap in the bathroom sink does get extremely hot so you need to be careful not to scald yourself.

Very comfortable sunny ground floor room with private patio at the back of the property. Very quiet. Bathroom layout was awkward because of wet room shower area. Good lighting and modern facilities that all worked! Comfortable 4ft bed with lightweight duvet for the warmer months. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Excellent food at dinner. Parking space allocated on arrival. Friendly welcoming staff, with tea and cake on arrival -nice touch. Very convenient location, close to forest and the coast.

Would choose a slightly larger ground floor room next time without the wet room facility.

The room was small but we were only staying one night so this was fine. Bed was very comfy, shower great - all you need really.

Beautiful B&B, really well located. In less than 5 min you can easily walk to the train station and a supermarket. Also, you can start many hikes from Brockenhurst without needing a car. The details at breakfast time starting from the table coming from an old tree from the New Forest to the local products used are just lovely. The bed was really comfortable and you don't hear any noises at night. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Brockenhurst.

This is the second time that I'm staying in this haven...my sister and my husband were with me..nothing was too much trouble...Jackie is an absolute treat and was lovely enough to put me and my sis and husband in adjoining rooms side by side .the breakfast is delicious with local organic jams ..def choose the eggs Benedict soooo good!..beds are super comfy ..and it's close to the station a d the forest ..fantastic!!!

We stayed for 2 days as we attended a wedding whilst there. Everything was so well thought out, from the car parking to the side gate, ( felt very secure). The bedroom was located at the back of the property with its own little terrace. Light and airy room with bathroom en suite. Very spacious, very clean.

Beautiful location, host was so friendly and welcoming not like going to a chain hotel booking in at reception and not remembering who you are. Can tell they take pride in the establishment and its more than just a business to them

As a smoker being able to smoke outside the room, didn't realise it was not smoking. Wasn't a major issue just felt conscious walking past peoples rooms to the front to be able to smoke

Excellent welcome start to finish, highly recommend . Breakfast is a 10/10 and even though it was a little more expensive than other b and bs we have stayed it in the area, it is great value for money for the service and food you get! Will only stay here now when in the area!

On booking.com it said we would have a bath and we did not, however I think that is an error with the booking.con website rather than the b and b it’s self
