The staff was lovely and allowed us to check in a little bit early, the room and communal areas were VERY clean. Close to the city centre around a 20 minute walk. The hotel was very easy to find and there is street parking on the first junction before the hotel. (The photo was taken when we was leaving, hence why is looks messy with our stuff everywhere)

The random small step at the top of the stairs wasn’t noticeable until it was too late and I tripped up.

Booked for a group of friends on a golf weekend. The host was very friendly an helpful. Rooms were clean and as you'd expect for the price. 4 of us had a shared toilet and shower which I was pleasantly surprised to see were both very clean. They also gave out slippers for these rooms which was a nice touch.

Took a while to sort out the keys to begin with but that was because we were a group of 10 with various different rooms. Also couldn't find a way to turn the blue LED clock off on the wall mirror, as I like to sleep without blue light.

Very lovely hotel right next to a convenient bus stop that takes you into the town center. The lady who gave us the key to our room was nice and friendly and the room was gorgeous and came with a tv, towels, slippers and complementary tea/milk and biscuits. My friend and I only stayed for one night but it was super pleasant, if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely come back! Thank you again 😁

The only thing I can think of is lack of plugs near the beds in our room but I didn't really mind as there was a few near the tv.

The person who checked me in was really friendly, really easy process. A bus from the centre of Cardiff goes to just outside the hotel which was handy. The room was lovely, so clean and nicely decorated. I was worried about the shared bathroom but they were so clean it wasn't an issue at all.

As it was a shared bathroom people were of course leaving their rooms more frequently, this meant when I was trying to sleep there were doors slamming.

The room was clean and exactly as described, with an extremely comfortable bed and very good facilities - including a TV with an excellent picture. The location of Tanes Hotel is central and perfect for exploring Cardiff, with a bus stop right outside! But the best part about my stay was the perfectly accommodating staff. They were so pleasant, kind and understanding when I accidentally damaged an item in the room. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Friendly welcome, extremely fast check in, very nice decor, comfy beds. Didn't use the TV but wasnt ridiculously tiny like many guest houses. Clean linen and kettle. We were ground floor room on the main road but double glazing and heavy curtains meant we slept soundly and uninterrupted. Very clean bathroom and great shower.

Not enough milk provided, but I find this in EVERY hotel. I'm also certain the host would have happily provided more had we requested more.

Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable. Toiletries and towels provided. Shower was great. Bonus for me... Oat milk was provided so I could have a cup of coffee in the morning.

Unfortunately didn't realise that there would be 4 flights of stairs as I have a lung condition so had to stop catch my breath on each flight. Quite a busy road but once I was asleep I didn't hear a thing. Car park was quite hard to find.

The owner/manager was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in later after we experienced car trouble. The location is amazing and having free parking around the hotel even when the car park is full is something you wouldn't expect in such a central city location. The bus stop into the city is on the doorstep and the rooms and shared spaces are immaculate. Thank you so much!

Lovely added extras like oat milk sachets, slip on slippers to go to the bathroom, biscuits, lots of cushions, tv, room decor, lovely shower and pressure, parking, whole look was nice and updated, reasonable price, nice bathroom (shared), very clean, polite and welcoming staff,

It missed ear plugs. Thankfully we brought our own as the road is very noisy. (Facing main road). Bottled water would be nice,

Safe parking, shut gate at night, not far from city, bus outside or can walk into city. Rooms, clean, stayed in an ensuite, we also had a room with shared bathroom. We had coffee making facilities. Even though on busy road was quiet in our room at back of house,seemed safe.

Corridors a bit outdated but as room seemed to be freshly done didn't matter. We had 2 rooms booked but our rooms were in seperate part of building
