Absolutely lovely property. Great location on the waterfront and close to all the local restaurants and amenities including the car ferry. On arrival we upgraded to a room with a view over the water. We would definitely choose this option in future. The Waterfront House is obviously cared for by Julie and the team. Everything is of high quality. The breakfast was of very high quality. They get their sausages and bacon from a local butcher and everything was tasty and fresh. Highly recommended. Pricey but worth it to treat yourself in a beautiful part of the country.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

What an excellent place... Waterfront House exudes pure, unpretentious quality in all respects - fixtures and fittings in the room, food options for breakfast, the proper white cotton napkins at the table, the coffee machine and cookies in the room ... everything, really. Very warm welcome from hosts Julie and Jon. We had only booked the small 'nook' room but were offered the chance to upgrade for a small additional charge. So pleased we took the opportunity - the 'Estuary' room had a fantastic view of the river through a bay window. The binoculars on the window sill were a nice touch!

Cannot think of a single fault - all superb!

Fantastic waterfront location, nice modern decor. Our room had a sunny terrace at the back of the property, so no sea view but nice to have outside space. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, a lovely healthy buffet selection and fabulous cooked breakfast.

The only downside was that the en-suite bathroom was very cramped, although we appreciate it would be difficult given the size of the room to make it any bigger. No on-site parking which wasn’t a problem as we could park outside overnight, but would be more challenging in high season.

The location is fantastic. We had a balcony and I could sit out and look at a fantastic view down the waterfront and across the river. It is a very stylish place, and kept immaculately clean. The breakfast was amazing: a great choice and hot food was cooked perfectly with high quality ingredients. John and Julie, who own Waterfront House, were friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect base for us.

We have a blue badge and were able to stay parked on the street outside. There is no off road car parking, but John helps ferry people to the park and ride. We were in the Crow's Nest - the stairs were quite steep but it was worth it for the view!

The breakfasts were probably the best we have had on any holiday. Every attention was given to availability and quality of the food. The variety of choice was excellent as was presentation. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and we both slept like logs. The generosity of coffee pods, tea, biscuits and bathroom toiletries was such a joy. It is no wonder that Waterfront House has recently won a prestigious award for the best B and B in the area.

We could find no dislikes at all.

It was a lovely property, it was immaculately clean too. The host on reception and doing the breakfasts was really lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent!

It was very expensive for a B&B. We specifically booked the accommodation because of the free shuttle bus and free parking offered, however when we enquired about this we were told this was not on offer for those who booked on booking.com and the shuttle was not available during regatta. We were only informed of this after we had paid the balance for the property and only the day before arrival.

Location was amazing and view from hotel window was stunning.Hosts were lovely and very accomadating.Hotel very well looked after and breakfast had z varied menu.Eveyrthing was of a high standard.

The room was quite small and had to keep moving the chairs in the window to get into bed. Bathroom small.Parking was no a problem in October but if visiting in Summer months it could be a issue.You would have to use the park and ride at top of hill and get shuttle bus.£200.pounds a night I regard as very expensive.

Great location. Fantastic breakfast - the very best we had during this or prior UK vacations. Room and whole B&B was beautifully and newly styled and decorated with a lot of consideration even on small details.

If anything: Room was very small, but had everything needed. This was known before, so ok. For a longer stay I would rather book a bigger room.

Waterfront view to die for - I could have sat there for hours - and we enjoyed our morning cup of tea in bed with the curtains open. Very clever use of space and careful consideration to ensure maximum comfort and convenience and some lovely little touches, including a flask of fresh milk for tea and coffee, shortbread biscuits and ice buckets with ice machine downstairs. The breakfast selection was superb including vegetarian and vegan options, fresh berries and yoghurt. We plan to make this an annual trip around the date of our wedding anniversary.

Not great sound insulation but other guests not noisy so not a problem.

The previous reviews made us think this was going to be an exceptional stay and we weren’t disappointed. Everything from the cleanliness of rooms to friendliness of hosts to the view from the balconies were wonderful. Breakfasts were absolutely amazing in choice and quality. We’d return again in a heartbeat.

The only thing I would mention is the fact that we couldn’t get the fan to work until we realised that you had to switch on at the wall as well as use the remote, however we could well have missed those instructions!
