The location was perfect for our cruise. Had we been more knowledgeable about how the trains run through London, we could have taken one to this hotel/flat from London, as the Train station is directly across the street. The owner had given me some Taxi numbers to reserve to take us to the Port but after reserving and paying in advance, it did not show up. (Not the owners' fault by any means) BUT - Bonus for us, we were able to walk across the street and take a bus to the Port for a fraction of the cost of the taxi. It was a private bus - not the city bus. The lady that greeted us at the door was very nice and thorough explaining everything about the place. She told us where and how to get to town (within walking distance) and where to go once we got there. Check out is at 1000 but our cruise transfer/taxi was not until 1130. The owner was willing to let us store our luggage on site until our taxi time. This meant that he would have to come back to let us in to get it because he and the management do not stay on site. You need to schedule your check in time so that they are.

Our room faced the street, and because we were across the street from the Train Station, it was noisy with traffic all night. STAIRS... be prepared to climb stairs to the lobby and rooms. No elevators. It wasn't terrible, but with luggage and bad knees it was a bit tiring.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Dover's Restover during our visit to Dover, and I must say, it was an experience we won't easily forget. From the moment we arrived, George and the team made us feel incredibly welcome. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities one could hope for. The location was convenient, making it easy for us to explore the local attractions. What stood out the most was the warm hospitality we received. George went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, even providing us with some invaluable local tips. Didn’t have breakfast as served from 7.00am to 8.30am so too early for me ! Location near to shops, restaurants etc was very good. The first night I was there the TV suddenly stopped and it wouldn’t turn back on no matter what I tried even though the blue light was flashing. I forgot to report it on the Friday morning so by the time I mentioned it Friday evening it was understandably too late to do anything. However on Sat George the owner replaced it with a new one so all was well for Sat night viewing !

Toilet didn’t flush well on second day. I reported it at the end of my stay.

Our hosts, especially George, were very accomodating to us during our whole stay. Went out of his way to receive our backpacks even before check in time so we could spend our long walks comfortably without our heavy backpacks. Location is very convenient, as it's just across the road right outside the train station. Our room were very cozy and comfortable, really good deal for the price. Very clean and tidy too. :) would definitely book again someday when we come back :)

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything that we needed to know was explained in a very friendly manner. Breakfast time was a delight with a variety of choices. The breakfast cooked by George was delicious and the hospitality in a very polite and friendly atmosphere was fantastic. The location was brilliant as Dover‘s attractions including the town, castle, beach, harbour, the famous white cliffs and much more were all in walking distance.

Nothing, everything was good.

Perfect stop over for the ferry. Friendly welcome from a lovely lady. Showed us where to park and advised on what's available food wise locally. Clean room with on suite and tea making facilities. Everything we needed before heading off into Europe. Walking distance to town centre and harbour with a short drive to Dover Castle which is well worth a visit if you arrive early.

Nothing can be done about the amount of road noise but it does get bad at times. Late night loud boy racers and motorbikes flying past. People heading back from town etc. Prepare to have broken sleep.

Nice basic Bed & breakfast. We needed to stay for a couple of days before continuing our travels to London. The location us unbeatable- across the street from train station, and yet no noise in the room from the trains. George offered to store our luggage for a few hours prior to check in, which was a HUGE help.

Remember, this is a B&B in an old historic house, so don't expect top of the line amenities. We actually thought it being old and authentic was part of the charm.

The property was exceptional! The owners are wonderful hosts that make sure you are comfortable and go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing stay. Communication is excellent. The location is very convenient to everything including the train station and the port. We look forward to staying at this lovely property again and highly recommended it to anyone visiting Dover!

Great location (just across from Dover Priory) and walking distance to the cruise port and various food places. Comfy and beautifully decorated. No AC but fans were provided. USB charging in outlets. Nice en suite bathroom and shower. Very clean. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Not a bargain but good quality for price. WiFi was available and reliable.

Small tv with limited channels, some steps and no lift

We were greeted by the friendliest lady called Jan. She gave us a run down on places of interest and restaurants where we could get dinner. Such a warm welcoming smile after a long journey. Unfortunately we had only one night there but there is so much to do in the area and the B and B is so near the town we will be back .I was able to park my car off the street as I had requested it on booking.
