The staff were excellent and there was ample parking. The hotel was well located for visiting the area. The meals were good. Lots of nice toiletries provided in the rooms.

Very limited choice of menu for a hotel (only 5 main courses to choose from - when you are staying 3 nights that really restricts the choice). The menu remained the same for all 3 nights - there were no specials. The hotel kitchen closed early the first night, (8.20pm), which we were not made aware of until too late, so we were unable to have a dessert. The following night we were given dessert on the house to compensate for this.

The lady that checked us in was very nice and accommodated us well in regards to our room. She made us feel really welcomed. The room was really nice and decorated well, the shower was good, there was a mini fridge in the room which was handy, as well as a kettle and coffee machine. Everything you could have wanted was there. All staff that we spoke too was very nice, smiley, accommodating etc. We couldn’t fault them. The beer garden was so cute, plenty tables, umbrellas shading you from the sun, there was even a fire pit. The toilets on the ground floor I thought was so good as they supplied deodorant and female item necessities etc. We would 100% be back, we loved our stay

Only thing I would say was the evening menu maybe should have a little more choices. But the food I did choose was really good.

Fantastic stay at the Garth Hotel, the hotel is really lovely! The rooms are to a high standard with excellent facilities, the evening meal and breakfast were to a very high standard and staff were very accommodating with unusual allergies. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and when I arrived very early at the hotel due to illness (and so not being able to carry the days planned activities), the staff went above and beyond to get my room ready ASAP so I could check in. All round great experience and would highly recommend!

A large choice of breakfast was available in a comfortable dIning room. The dining room and bar staff were friendly and efficient. The receptionists were also very helpful.

There was no fridge in our bedroom when we arrived. I like water to drink through the night and while I appreciated the fresh milk for our tea, a fridge was a necessity. The receptionist quickly brought one for us but the temperature wouldn’t cool below 16 degrees which was disappointing, however the receptionist had a ready supply of fresh milk for us.

The location was great as we participated in activities at Nethy Bridge. It was also very close to the Grantown Museum. As the day was rainy it was most beneficial. Great location in the town as well! The staff was also very accommodating. We arrived at the hotel when the restaurant had just closed. They kept the restaurant open for us which was most appreciated.

Climbing up and down the steps was the most challenging. The staff was very helpful however in getting our luggage up and down the stairs.

After a quick and easy check in we were shown to our room, which was spacious and comfy. We particularly liked the coffee machine and mini fridge with fresh milk. We also really enjoyed food in the restaurant at night. The pork & chorizo burger was a particular highlight.

Would've like to have enjoyed some local beers. Although Cairngorm Brewery was advertised outside the hotel and inside on the bar, it was disappointing nothing was available either in draft or in bottles. Hopefully this will be available next time we visit.

reception staff were excellent nothing too much bother, as were cleaning staff. Breakfast was good, hot and fast service. Pet friendly, and it really was each person we encountered was very nice and friendly to our cat and very welcoming. The beds were the best we have ever slept in, even larger chain hotels don’t have beds this good! Lots of outside space, gardens and huge carpark. Lots of towels, toiletries and even a small fridge in our room.

The chef! We ordered afternoon tea and were embarrassed for poor staff who were left to serve it after the chef made a quick getaway, inedible stale and salty bland loaded with tomato we were not charged for this. again reception staff tried their very best. Noise from shower was very loud, that said it was a good powerful shower.

Very laid back and cosy hotel

Staff were efficient and friendly except for the guy with the headscarf … a Scorpy and glaring individual … who moved the tip jar right in front of us when we were the only ones sitting at the bar. Don’t make it so obvious man. Unbelievable. Not the way to get tips from two paddy’s I can tell ya but I gave it anyway thanks to the other v young man working the bar, a gent

Very comfortable rooms and lots of thoughtful touches to the rooms that showed they really thought about guests needs. Comfortable bed and pilows,nespresso machine and kettle. Fresh milk for tea and coffee. Good bathrooms. Helpful staff. Lots of parking. Short walk to shops in the town. Breakfast was excellent, all the food items were fresh and well prepared. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent, well prepared good meats and plenty of fresh vegetables. All round a very good place to stay.

A last minute booking, a lovely welcome shown to my room, I was exhausted after a long day but a relaxing shower then into a very comfortable bed, I slept till the alarm went off very unusual for me! Good lighting and the extra touches - sleep spray, full size hairdryer (I hate the travel ones) fresh milk handed over when checking in, kept fresh with the mini fridge, and best if all a hot water bottle 😁 i always travel with one jn my case if my feet are cold I can't sleep so 5🌟 fro. me
