First visit to Carn Mhor most definitely won't be our last , amazing B&B in Avimore from the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for Adrian. The owner Adrian offers generous sincere hospitality and delivers thoughtful unexpected high quality extras not usually offered at B&B's.Location is fantastic only a short walk into Aviemore village and 10 minutes drive into the Cairngorms mountain Range , many more tourist places only a short drive away . Very dog friendly with a huge field behind the B&B and plenty of car parking space . Breakfast was piping hot and delicious with first class products used .Adrian was always on hand and so accommodating telling us best places to eat and advised us where to visit , always updated us on the weather in morning,nothing was too much trouble thank you Adrian for an amazing stay , we will most definitely be back and will highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing bed and breakfast to stay at Carn mhor . Look forward to next time .

Fantastic B&B located a 15 mins walk from centre of Aviemore. We were in room 6 and the room was newly decorated, with private bathroom with fantastic walk in shower. Beds were comfy and room always restocked with drinks/snacks. Adrian is a great host with tons of knowledge of the local area and always has time for a chat and a laugh. Breakfast is superb. We had the full Scottish and also the porridge & pancakes. On our last night we had the cottage pie for evening meal and I can certainly recommend this too! Perfect B&B if you’re looking for a place in the Aviemore area with home cooked food and a comfortable stay. 10/10

Nothing to not like.

A bright, very clean room in an annex away from the main house. Adrian was an attentive, welcoming host.

It was a little further to walk from the train station than I expected. We opted for a taxi at £5.50 I was surprised to discover that breakfast was an additional charge. After saying that, the breakfast was very good and served with a smile.

Adrian was responded quickly to any questions I had, and was very accommodating to every need. He was very welcoming, good company and full of friendly tips and advice. The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. When booking the room on booking.com you can apparently book a room without the breakfast option for a cheaper price, but it can be added for £10.

A mini fridge would be nice to have.

Loved staying here, was so comfy and clean. When you walk in it feels luxurious because it looks a bit like a hotel vibe, all white and modern. The bathroom was big and a very big shower - we stayed at a few places and found this was very helpful when you have a dog and going hiking. You have a rain shower option as well which was great! They replaced glasses and some offerings (tea, coffee, chocolate) every day. The bed was very comfy and there were sockets on either side, as well as USB ports. Location was really good, walking distance from the Aviemore high street, but also really good location to commute to other attractions. Didn't see the staff much as we were out a lot but the communicated all of the necessary details via messaging on the app.

Since I travelled alone, there was plenty of space in the room. Given there are 2 beds (1 for 1, 1 for 2 people), this may get tricky with 3 people. Breakfast was awesome and Adrian was super friendly, as were the other guests I met there.

Walls / floors are a bit thin though and the one night with a guest in a room above, you could hear every step. Can become problematic if there's a lot going on, which wasn't the case this time. Only sound around all the time was due to the storms Isha and Jocelyn.

Hot chocolate sachets in the room! Little things like that are lovely. Heaters and fans in the room were useful too. Adrian was friendly and welcoming. Good selection of books and guides in the breakfast room. Beds were comfy and room was spacious.

I found the breakfast to be on the small side. A bit of a petty complaint but the bathroom was separate and other guests used "my" bathroom.

The stay at Carn Mhor was exceptional. It made the whole trip complete! The facilities were absolutely brilliant and it was a perfect place to retreat to after days exploring the National Park. Adrian the host was very friendly, funny and extremely hospitable! The home cooked breakfasts were delicious! Warm, cosy and clean. 10 stars all round! I will be returning! A gem.

It was in a quiet location. Not too far away from the Main Street. The staff were lovely, room was great, beds were comfy. Breakfast was nice, we were well looked after, nothing was too much trouble.

The water pressure for the shower was very poor, washing shampoo out long hair was a task. It could also be done with having a mini fridge in the room, it was very hot when we were there and we couldn’t cool our drinks down. Not a big issue but definitely a think it’s a thing to think about.

This guest house is a delightful accommodation in Aviemore. It is slightly out of the main precinct and therefore quiet. The host, Adrian, is a friendly and extremely helpful guy. He gave us great guidance on walking options and his breakfast was generous and delicious. We thoroughly recommend this property.
