Everything was really great. But the lift was small and my wife is in a wheel chair but its bigger than a normal wheelchair so we had to fold it up and take two trips to room. But it did not spoil the enjoyment of staying at the Mondoon. Also the staff where friendly and polite.

The cooked breakfasts were very good, but would have liked more in the way of a continental buffet (cold meats, cheeses, melon, berries, pineapple, etc.).

The biggest problem was not being able to use our car (we are not as young & fit as we used to be & had hoped to drive to surrounding places of interest). We were relieved to find a space in the hotel’s car park, but didn’t dare to move out of that space for fear of not finding another on our return. We were on a tour for several days & really needed somewhere to put the car whilst with our tour group.

Fabulous hotel in a great location. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Beautiful period features with all modern conveniences.

Breakfast was lovely with quick service one day, then, terrible service with eggs over cooked the next day. They ran out of bread, so I asked for more to make toast. My breakfast had come and I had eaten it before more bread came out. More detail is needed to restock things at breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice, well cooked, choice of cereals, do your own toast. We booked evening meal and that was lovely, beautifully cooked. The location, close to shops, seafront, pubs and restaurants is great. We always got on the hotel car park.

We chose the hotel because my husband is in a wheelchair but you couldn’t get the chair up the side of the bed. He had to get on the bed at the bottom. The seat in the shower is very narrow, my husband said it was a perch. The grab rails and wet room area were good. The bathroom in room 45 needs a shelf, nowhere to put things, which is vital when you are in a wheelchair.

Booked after another hotel was unable to store my bicycle. These guys were super helpful, gave me a place to store it and let me leave it during the day until I checked into another place. Breakfast was really good. Hotel is quite old fashioned in decor, but this is not a criticism, I really liked it (I.e not at all run down) and they clearly look after the place unlike a lot of accommodation in seaside towns. Shower was great and considering I was caked in seven days sweat and dirt came as welcome relief. Room was clean and quiet. I throughly enjoyed staying here and if I do the race again I would definitely book here in advance.

Its a beautiful clean hotel friendly staff very nice food plenty to choose from afternoon tea a little small and no scone all chocolate cake welsh cake and ginger cake with butter on and 5 small sandwiches for 2 people but you get what you pay for £12 each

The only thing i found was on booking the Danoon on bookings .com ,i asked for a lower floor room with wet room ,because of moms mobility ,on arrival we were on 2nd floor long walk to our room and it was a shower over a high bath ,upon just saying it was ok for 2 nights ,the lady on reception saturday did offer to look for alternative room ,but we had already unpacked ,her advise was not to ask booking.com for special requests as the hotel do not get to see them,but very strange as i ordered meals also through booking.com and replies recieved and meals on arrival were booked 🥰

Great location, close to the beach, restaurants & shops! Great walks with our little pooch! The staff were very attentive & accommodating, especially Gerwyn the manager who was exceptionally attentive from my 1st enquiry to the hotel and throughout our stay. The hotel is dog friendly and although dogs are not allowed in the dining room, a table was set up for us in the tea room which was great! Overall, my son & I were very pleased and will certainly return!

Although dogs are allowed to stay, there are no dedicated rooms with appropriate dog friendly facilities which I've had in other hotels. Stayed in a superior single which would have been great for 1 person, but was too much of a tight squeeze with the dog's bed etc . There was no fridge which was difficult as I couldn't store my dog's wet food safely. However, the manager, Gerwyn, was very receptive to my feedback and promised us a better experience next time which we greatly appreciated.

Spotless clean, lovely pleasant staff, nothing was to much trouble.

, Breakfast on our first morning, was advised on checking in to go down for breakfast about 9am as they had a big party leaving at 8am,this is what we did, it was the worst dried up excuse for a breakfast we have ever had, after the price we had paid for our stay you would expect a fresh breakfast not one kept warm from earlyer on, our following two breakfasts were absolutely fine, not a good example to make.

The room was roomy and comfortable(superior twin). All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful . The buffet breakfast was OK and there was a very good choice for those who wished a cooked breakfast to be brought to them.

Was t a great view from window of the next door annex but to be honest we really didn’t mind.

Great authentic hotel. Some bits of it are old, like the elevator or squeaky floors, but everything inside my room was nicely renovated. Also location is perfect, 5 min to promenade and pier, great hiking spots like Betws-y-Coed and Llyn Ogwen are in 30 min drive.

Breakfast was average.
