Catherine the receptionist was amazing! I love Malmaison it’s my “go to hotel”. Bed was comfy, nice biscuits and chocs in the room 😍

The continental breakfast box was so disappointing. Orange juice was warm, instead of fruit salad was given an over ripe banana and there was no granola instead a warm cherry youghart. Thank god for Pret in the station where I could get a proper breakfast! Small, thin chap with glasses working in bar area considerably rude. More interested in cleaning then servicing. I had an issue connecting my work laptop to the Wi-Fi and his response was just that he couldn’t help and to speak to reception! Another manager sorted the Wi-Fi for me as a paying guest in the bar asking for help shouldn’t make you feel like a leper!

We ordered the breakfast box to the room. It was lovely

Only gripe, and it’s minor, is that the pillows were so soft that they didn’t actually support your head. They formed a shape around your head which meant I had to keep adjusting it through the night. Only one spare pillow meant one of us had went without.

Stylish entrance and amazing bar area. All so clean everywhere. Our room was immaculate. Exactly like the photos, trendy and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! full English and lots of choice on the continental. Poached eggs were the best ever!

The noise from the road at night was annoying but obviously not the hotels fault! our room was at the front so was expecting a noisy night. I’d mentioned when booking about my daughters 18th birthday, was told there would be a birthday card and small chocolates in the room on arrival. on booking in at the desk she was wished happy birthday but the surprise wasn’t in our room. no other complaints really was a lovely place to stay and would return.

We had a great stay for my nans birthday. The staff were so lovely and friendly (special mention to Guillerla on the bar) and we got a room upgrade which was amazing actually. My only two points would be that the gym was out of use (although tlwe were allowed to use the Holiday Inn one which was good) and that the property states it has parking, which usually means a hotel should have free parking on site. Unfortunately the parking was a separate carpark and it ended up costing me an extra 38 pound for two days parking there, as we only got 10% off with Mal. Would advise finding alternative parking which is cheaper. We didn't let that spoil the trip though as everything else was amazing and we would definitely come back again 😊

I think best to remove "parking" from the website/aggregator sites and maybe just pop an email to guests to let them know when the gym is closed :)

Stay here each time we visit Manchester. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated. The staff are always happy and helpful. The hotel security are also very helpful. The hotel is literally a two minute walk from Piccadilly station and reasonably quiet outside

There’s nothing not to like about this hotel although Despite staying numerous times this visit was the first I’d included breakfast which was very disappointing. Scrambled eggs under cooked, pouched eggs over cooked, the mushrooms (which I love ) where awful. I’d pass on the breakfast next time Just a personal dislike… the rainforest shower is great but not ideal on their own, should always have a shower with a flexible hose

Including dinner with the package was a great idea, the restaurant was lovely. Bed was very comfortable and air con was easy to use. Saw that there was room service but didn't make use of it sadly, but also saw the spa services and will likely come back and make use of those next time.

Bath shower, rather than shower, but I'm okay with that. And I needed to look around for how the dinner package worked. Took me a second to understand the 'supp' prices on the a la cart menu was what I was basically gonna pay rather than the full one, but staff members where more than helpful when I asked.

The staff were very warm and patient and friendly and helpful. At 10pm they kindly brought a very comfortable camp bed for my 12 year old child because we found the double bed a bit of a squeeze. They were so kind and helpful. The cleaning staff were very patient and polite when we didn't manage to check out until 11.15 am when we were meant to check out at 11am. The restaurant staff were really helpful and motivated and cheerful at breakfast. The reception desk staff were helpful and understanding and no queues or delays. The continental breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and lovely yoghurt.

The phone in our room rang at 2.30am and woke me up and a voice said 'hello, is that room service?' !!!!!!! I said 'no' !!!!!!

I loved how friendly the staff were. They were so professional and polite. The lady who checked us in made me feel so comfortable. She was so friendly! Check in was so easy and the lady went above and beyond to give directions etc. The hotel itself was just lovely! The decor/interior was so nice! Very clean and tidy! The bed was SO cosy!! There were spare pillows, a kettle, iron, lots of mirrors and I just feel like everything was very personal. There were lots of little touches like having vanity kits provided, sanitary towels, and I even had soya milk brought up to the room for me as I don’t drink dairy milk. The hotel was just gorgeous! Really well decorated and modern. I feel like it looked very prestige yet everything was still cosy and personal. Really happy with my stay!

I find it hard to think of anything as I really liked the property and I’m really happy with my choice to stay here. If I really had to pick something I would just say that it could be more vegan friendly in the sense that the little snacks in the room were not vegan friendly and I did have to request additional milk. However, I am only saying this as I am struggling to think of anything as I was so happy with my stay. That is the ONLY thing I could really suggest that would’ve made my stay even better. I do however appreciate that what is provided caters for the majority. I asked for soya milk and was provided with some which was amazing so I can’t really say there was anything I didn’t like!

I really liked the modern style of the room (room 533). The bathroom layout was good and spacious. The location of the room was good, with little external noise. Although I didn't get chance to use them, the robes and slippers are a nice touch, adding to the room's facilities. I found the bar area a great place to have a couple of drinks and enjoyed the live music on the Friday evening.

The water pressure from the shower was too weak. On arrival into the room there was no milk provided for tea / coffee facilities and again on my second day returning to the room no milk had been added during the room clean and therefore I had to make a request for some. My room had 2 single beds. I have to say; sleeping on one of them, they are not the most comfortable beds / mattresses.

Bed / pillows were very comfortable, shower hot.

You couldn’t open the window in room, had to keep air con as it was so hot , air on noisy. There was a door adjourning the room to another one and you could hear the people in next room when they were by that door. Restaurant was poor service we waited over an hour for main. The half chicken came as bits including an inedible dried mini drumstick . The chicken was very over cooked and was served with a bit of watercress and a couple of bits of lettuce nothing else with it.
