The location is perfect for anyone travelling by train, as it's directly opposite Piccadilly station, and also has easy access to the trams. (Travel tip - you can buy an all day ticket for the trams for as little as £2, at the time of travel) The hotel section of the property is nice and private, and is well away from the ground floor pub, which makes for a peaceful stay.

Wi-fi was advertised on booking, but no other information about what network to use upon arrival. The TV was difficult to operate. I would recommend having some earplugs for sleeping due to its location, as it's also sat at a busy junction.

Our stay at the the Bulls Head Hotel was brilliant. We had a lovely clean comfortable room with twin beds. The staff were very friendly as was the pub where we had a drink before going out. The continental breakfast was all set out for us in the morning so we could take what we wanted and eat in our rooms. The whole stay was excellent and I will go back to stay there again. I'll be back!!!

There was nothing I didn't like. The whole weekend was brilliant. The pub was good and the staff were lovely.

Stayed here as attending the Iron Maiden concert, 30th June. Room 5 was comfortable and very nice size bathroom with shower. Plenty of tea/coffee and milk supplied. Also, cartons of orange juice in room too. Bed was very comfortable with great pillows ! It was a continental breakfast which you could take back to your room and plenty of free bottles of water in the fridge. Loved the coffee machine that much i have purchased one for home ! Highly recommend !

Room got too hot even with windows open and other small disappointment was the apple i picked was stale, i had to throw it which put me off eating any more fruit.

Lovely little pub with great staff in an ideal location and a bargain price. Right opposite Manchester Piccadilly train station taxi rank. Beds very comfortable, clean linen and towels and a plentiful continental breakfast. Staff very warm and friendly.

The radiators didn't heat room thoroughly and bathroom was a little cold but for the price I wouldn't expect more really. An extra bed cover/blanket would be a good idea during winter months. A lot of stairs so be prepared.

Good for the price. Efficient check in. Clean rooms. Toiletries. Kettle and tea, coffee milk in rooms. Warm. Nicer decor. Hairdryer available. Basic breakfast available to eat in room, consisted of cereals and toast, butter, marmalade or blackcurrant jam on our visit. Bottled water available. Building has character, and traditional pub downstairs.

Our mattress was very hard, didn't sleep well as I have joint problems. Would have paid a bit extra for a comfortable bed (new mattresses aren't that dear to buy, good investment). Nowhere to hang coats or clothes, a hook on the wall and couple of coat hangers would be useful. There were plenty of drawers though. Couldn't get the shower to come hot, that might have been us though! Lots of windy stairs but we were told in advance. Might not suit someone with sight impairment or mobility issues, although we managed.

Great location, easy access to public transport. Also easy walking to parts of Man. city. Surprisingly no noise from pub nor area. Food available at pub was fairly basic but was not expensive. Room had been renovated recently, nice and cosy. One of the best showers we found in England. The owners/ managers? were very helpful and friendly. Thank you again.

The ladies carried our bags up the 2 flights of stairs, thankyou, a lift would have been good, but obviously not enough room to build that in

Great location, friendly host, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot and probably the best shower I have experienced ! Room was clean and instructions given were clear and helpful.

There was nothing really to dislike, if you had breakfast there isn't a dining area/table to sit at, you eat in the room. This wasn't an issue and didn't detract from how enjoyable our stay was.

Loved the warm welcome and comfortable clean room. Self serve breakfast was a bonus with lots of fresh fruit on offer too- lovely!

Thoughtless guest banging their door aggressively in the early hours, and the noise from the street. However, every step had been taken by the hotel to reduce the noise as much as possible, and I just embraced the opportunity to see Manchester night life while safe in my room! Did get some sleep eventually!

The room was nice and clean. The bedding was clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower room/ toilet was lovely and looked as if it had recently been refurbed and included miniature toiletries. Although the rooms are above the pub which was very busy and noisy on the Saturday night we didn't hear anything in our room. The breakfast was help yourself continental, cereal toast , fruit ,pan au chocolate. A coffee machine. A fridge with bottles of water. A carton of orange juice each was in the room on arrival..

I can't say there was anything I didn't like . It would have been nice to have had a room to sit and eat breakfast rather than carry it into the bedroom on a tray. For the price we paid it suited our needs and would stay again.

The location was perfect. Excellent base to see the city from. The room was small, but nicely laid out so we were comfortable. The beds were great, and we had great sleeps. The room was quiet mostly, but any noise was what you'd expect being right in the city. The shower had excellent pressure and there was more than enough towels for the 2 of us. The breakfast options were restricted, yet we had enough choices that suited us, plus breakfast was available from 7am which allowed for early starts to our days. It was great value, and was the right choice for us and our holiday.
