Great rate for a room that turned out to be lovely. Great staff and superb food that was very reasonably priced. Booked on the way so didn't really know what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised in every respect and will definitely stay again next time in West Yorkshire

Nothing is perfect, but nothing negative worth mentioning

We both had the full English breakfast which was absolutely delicious. I would normally have gone for eggs benedict or similar, but as I didn't see an cereals out I plumped for the full English. It was only after we had ordered that a saw some cereals on a table at the other side of the room, but they weren't immediately apparent. The menu didn't mention cereal so I assumed there weren't any.

Whilst it's great to have a coffee pod machine in the room, it would be better if instructions could be included. I had to search for quite a while online to find the correct model in order to make a drink. Also, coffee machines don't boil the water so i's not possible to make a decent cup of tea. Perhaps a mini kettle might be a good addition.

Our welcome to this warm and inviting Inn was wonderful. Staff are just lovely. Our dinner, and included breakfast, was delicious. The size of the poached eggs were huge, apparently “the Rolls Royce of eggs” and I’d believe it! The big, fluffy white bath towels were a bonus too😊We couldn’t fault our stay. Thank you Mark and co you’re doing a great job of looking after weary travellers.

We found the room a little hot for our liking, we figured out the heating eventually 😊

Lovely 290 year old pub, full of character. Very comfortable room - the staff upgraded us to an even better room at no extra charge. Extremely comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, although I chose to limit my choice as not wishing eat too much and feel too full !! Nice open fires. Situated on a hill, and after a snowfall overnight the surrounding area looked so picturesque.

I found it difficult to regulate the shower - but was probably just me being hamm-fisted.

The inn is a lovely old building in a picturesque location. The room was comfortable but was not the room we'd booked which was disappointing. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had dinner which was fresh and tasty. The following morning we both ordered a full English breakfast which was delicious but was far too big - it had two of everything. I do wish they had stated that in the menu as I would have asked for just one of everything. I had to leave half and it felt very wasteful.

A beautiful location with stunning views from the outdoor terraces. We stayed in a cottage room which was quirky and full of charm, clean and well furnished. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great, made even better by the cheerful staff member whose attention was great! We booked the Fleece as an overnight stay for a wedding locally, and we’re delighted with our decision. Will definitely be back! Local taxi service was also very efficient.

There was nothing to to dislike at all. Maybe get the toilet in the room repaired as it is syphoning water constantly, and flushing itself intermittently as a result - will save on water consumption! Shower cubicle was fine for us, if on the smaller side, but the shower was excellent, so not a problem for us.

I had (what I think was) a Bridal Suite which was pretty lush. It does pretty much everything really well. Food and wine were excellent.

The rain effect shower head in Room 5 felt very loose when I went to tilt it and the on/off valves for the shower are in completely the wrong location. Temp valve was a tiny bit dodgy. Hot water temp coming out of sink tap was scalding hot.

A really nice place to stay. Room was very comfortable. Loved the bath, fabulous rain shower, Food was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Glad to have found it, will be back later in the year. And a great price considering the quality of the rooms and food. Noticed they cater for weddings, well worth a look if you are planning on getting married.

Lovely pub

We booked the wrong weekend . Due to kids Christmas party and light switch on which we didn’t know about . So my birthday weekend and meal was a bit spoilt by having no privacy having our meal , However Mark and staff were very pleasant and made our stay as good as could be
