The whole flat was amazing! The bed was so comfy and I really want to know where the pillows are from (the flat ones), they were the best pillows I´ve slept on in a long while! We loved to watch the crocket games from our bedroom window. The bathtub was great and we had everything we needed for our stay. The train station isn´t far away and you need maybe 10 minutes (depends on how fast you walk) to Mickelgate and the entrance to the historical city. We got bread, butter, jam and eggs and best: milk and coffee :) Our hostess was very kind, gave us plenty of information, a map and we had a great time. Good to know: keep an eye on the weather report, we´d a lot of rain and it wasn´t warm outside. But the flat was nice, warm and cozy anyway, so we didn´t mind :) Would definetly book again!

Everything. Clean & Comfortable with everything you need. The welcome pack is a nice touch, with the best eggs we've ever had, butter, bread, jam & marmalade. Shower is nice & hot & a bath to have a good soak in. Bed was just right & we slept like a log. Nice Quiet area with croquet greens to the side of the building. We were in apartment 2 which overlooks the greens from the kitchen & bedroom. Everything within walking distance. Lillian explained everything to us & gave us a map when we arrived with it being our first time in York. Great fruiters & butchers just down the road & around the corner. Saintsbury at end of the road. As well as restaurants only 5 mins walk away if you don't want to cook.

Nothing we didn't like, but would have liked a roller blind or something on the apartment door for a little bit more privacy instead of glass that you can see through.

- 10 mins walk down path next to flat to reach the walls, 20 mins walk to the old section. - clean! good cross air flow during the hot days helped keep us comfortable - included all soaps, shampoo, conditioner, great towels, comfy linens and bed, comfy couches to relax in the evening, tv with Netflix (in case one needs a break from the wonderments of York). Included coffee, tea, milk, sugar packets and small welcome pack. - flat has everything needed for an easy short stay and everything functions as it should: toilet flushes properly, dishwasher and clothes washing machine work exactly as they should, so does the microwave, kettle, coffee machine and stove (didn’t use the oven) - all in great shape.

Only because the weather was so amazing, we missed not having a small outdoor sitting area at the end of a day walking around York. But the living room was definitely comfortable to unwind.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and spacious. Lilian was very welcoming showed us where everything was and how to work things gave us directions could contact her at any point if needed. Lovely touch of fresh milk, eggs and bread for breakfast the following morning. Within the apartment there is already coffee, tea and sugar and also a coffee pod machine. Equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Bed was super comfy even checked where the pillows were from before I left as I now want to purchase some 🙂 (Marks & Spencer). Location was perfect as you are a 10 minute walk from York town centre or a few pound in an Uber that picks you up from right outside. Lilian provided us with a map and marked exactly where we were and marked directions on how to get into the town centre. Excellent value for money compared to the cost of hotels in York. You have access to free Wi-Fi in the apartment also with a range of leaflets for different attractions in York. Would definitely stay here again if we were to visit York. Thanks Lilian!

Wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like could be modernised a little but wouldn’t say it’s a critique. Why fix something if it isn’t broken? 🙂

clean spacious property a bit outskirt quiet area. It is easy to find with a free car park which is a huge bonus easy 15 min walk to the centre. There’s eggs, butter, jam and bread for your stay which is a nice gesture. Sufficient supply of amenities-everything you need is there! Just FYI, they don’t clean until check out so don’t expect it to be like a hotel where a housekeeper cleans everyday and you have to put your bin out! I’m sure you could easily ask for top ups if needed ie loo rolls etc., the host will surely be helpful, we didn’t need any for our two night stay!

What a fantastic little gem this place is! Lilian was the loveliest host, helping with local knowledge of how to get to the different places in York, and the apartment itself was wonderful - the thoughtful welcome pack, the comfy beds, there's absolutely nothing about this place that we would change. We were sad to be leaving after our one night there and wished we were staying for longer, we will definitely be booking to stay here again!

It was a lovely surprise to find some breakfast supplies in the fridge: milk, muffins, eggs, butter, jam, tea, and coffee. The apartment is nicely done, extremely clean, and located in a beautiful and quiet area. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the shower and heating work well. It felt like being at home.

There was nothing we didn't like.

This is a very roomy apartment. The bed is comfortable and the whole place was spotless. Tea coffee bread and eggs were provided which was a kind gesture. Windows can be opened. There are clear instructions on how to use the appliances. Parking is available immediately outside the main door to the house which made life easy - no squeezing into tiny underground car spaces which is often the case with properties in York. The hosts live in the property below which is reassuring. An easy walk to the city centre.

The mixer tap on the bath is a little stiff. Other than that this is a lovely apartment and we have booked it again.

A delightful and well-equipped property. Loved the frig/freezer in the kitchen. All the things we needed for cooking were there at hand. The hostess provided fresh bread, eggs, milk, jam and butter which was a lovely touch. She also gave us a map and highlighted the attractions in York which was very helpful. The sitting room was so comfortable and pretty, the bed was comfy.

Beautiful apartment spotlessly clean and very well maintained in a superb location, just 10min walk from centre. Lilian was a great host, very friendly and informative. We were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and the little touches of processo & chocolates was very much appreciated. I had the best nights sleep I've had in months in a very comfortable king size bed. Theres absolutely nothing negative I could say about my stay and I would highly recommend Lilians place to anyone.
