The Alex Hotel is super close to the airport. Their shuttle will take you to the airport plus downtown to the Civic Center upon request. The rooms are large with a sink in the shower/toilet area and another one outside which is super helpful. Had an iron and board. AC & window opens. Coffee maker in the room plus small fridge and microwave. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Their lobby is a bit shabby and one elevator is down. Their breakfast offerings were slim. I think some yogurt would be nice.

Airport shuttle, cozy warm carpeted room, deluxe hot breakfast, mountain views. Parking on site with available covered parking spaces, great if it snows a lot. A couple fast food options nearby; 3 minute walk. Quiet neighborhood. Comfy beds with warm blankets. One entrance into the building and centrally located elevator makes it easy if you have a lot of luggage.

Something’s probably broken. Examples: lamp button or hair dryer, elevator buttons don’t light up, some light bulb’s out, curtain missing handle rod, etc.

Breakfast was very good and they refilled the hot items promptly, Staff was extraordinarily courteous and helpful. Rooms were quite spacious and the hotel was very quiet. I generally find hotel beds very comfortable these days and this was no exception.

Very minimal electrical outlets and none by the tables. We moved one table across the room so I could plug in my laptop. No refrigerator, so unable to keep thing chilled. Microwave would have been nice, but not necessary.

The check-in was nice. The breakfast was good. The room was clean.

It needs to be upgraded somehow. The carpet looks old, there are no real plug-ins within the room, and there are no places to charge your cell phones. Just need some minor details renewed.

Clean, nice room and hotel. They are doing well with the upgrades. We ate at the hotel for dinner and the complimentary breakfast. Both were very good. Liked the shuttle to and from the airpor. The location was great, also right on bus line 40 that takes you to downtown and to the airport as well I believe.

Overall all of the staff was great, but one front desk attendant was too wrapped up in his phone and complaining to another employee about someone else coming in late, to really offer proper customer service.

Shuttle to the airport/train station was available all the time. Very close to the airport. They also held some of our luggage we didn’t need in between stays that were a few days apart. Decent breakfast with quite a few options.

Hallways were super muggy. One of the elevators didn’t work and the AC (in more than one room) smelled like it was burning. it’s not the most up to date, but for the airport (or even train) via the shuttle availability it worked well for us.

The staff was friendly and helpful and I liked the location next to Lake Hood.

The breakfast was terrible and the (huge) room could have used some additional cleaning. The one functioning elevator had a hard time serving everyone.

Breakfast location was great. The waffles,eggs,sausage and biscuits with were good coffee and juice choices as well.

I wish there would have been more fruit. I only saw bananas on one day and no fruit the other 5 days. It would have been nice to have oatmeal and hashbrowns.

It's a great hotel and olis often overlooked

Couldn't pay in the other port next to the hotel even if it is a part of the hotel property. The people renting the property next door are rude. But it is a good thing that they are going for the community and people.
