The room was convient. Because it has an airport shuttle. I needed a full day of rest and Puffin Inn has a discount for employees that work on the North Slope. The contential breakfast is convient. For those who have little money, the contential breakfast is nice to have.

Too much noise. I could hear noise in the hallways. After a long trip I would have liked a little more quiet time. I was able to get rest, but would have been nice to have the hallways quiet. Next time I'll ask for a room at the end of the hallway.

I almost passed on the place because of all the negative reviews, especially about the Annex. Well, we actually stayed in the Annex building, room 304, which looked recently remodeled, clean and comfortable. We also experienced the main lobby where we had breakfast. It appeared clean as well. The shuttle came promptly to pick us up from the airport, despite our flight delay to almost 2 am. The driver was very friendly and nice. Overall we had a comfy overnight stay.

i guess i was a tad confused what size room i was requesting, its hard to tell becuase there are two with very similar sounding names but one is bigger and one slightly smaller, so i accidently booked the smaller one. i chalk it more up to me then the room discription. i probably skipped over the section on room demisions

At the front desk after our arrival the person at the desk asked how we were 'with carrying bags up flights of stairs. We are reasonably abled, mid-70's couple who had risked life and limb on the parking lot full of ice to get to the front desk, and we responded...not able. Fortunately, she said she would change our room to one with an elevator and would 'comp' the rate change. At no time did I see that the room I'd reserved was in a different building...without an elevator.

See precursor above. ADDITIONALLY....upon checkout a different desk person asked about sending our statement to an email address or receiving a print, I asked for the email. I've been home for 24 hours and it is not in my email nor in my spam Folder. Just another issue that I will resolve.

Shuttle driver was prompt and very helpful. The staff was friendly and super accommodating with our late arrival. The room was absolutely perfect for our family (with kiddos) and quiet too! They allowed us a late checkout which was wonderful.

We got up a bit late and the front desk said they ran out of breakfast early (which was a bummer).

I used this hotel to get an early 6 am flight out of Anchorage. The room was spacious and clean, the wifi was good, the staff was friendly, there are restaurants close by, and there is a nice lobby to hang out if you want to. And they have a 24-hour shuttle service for pickup and drop-off.

My stay was good and no complaints.

Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. The place itself is pretty and quaint. The breakfast was very nice, too. This is our second year staying with them at the beginning and the end of the trip.

There's really nothing near them, like grocery or supermarket, and only a couple of fast food places.

The staff was very helpful. We arrived about midnight and surprised there was a line for check in but the staff was upbeat and knowledgeable. The room was clean and except for some normal street noise the place was quite.

Not having to walk down the street with our stuff to stay at the annex. That was a bummer considering we'd been traveling all day. It just felt weird not to stay in the same place that you're checking into.

The room was very comfortable, and the bed too! The staff were helpful, kind and professional.

I was in the annex and I decided not to go to the continental breakfast, because there were slippery spots and I had already slipped a bit. The shuttle driver had offered to drive me between buildings- so my bad if I didn't take up the offer.

The room was cleaned very well, the continental breakfast offered was great with cold or hot foods ( cereals, oatmeal, waffles, etc ). Very informative and friendly staff, Reggie (asst manager) was available to address any issues or concerns that may arise. The Puffin Inn was located in an area with many food options, a centrally located bus transportation service and the airport close by with shuttle service offered.
