Great breakfast and dinner in the Grill. All staff were helpful and seemed to like their job. Loved the charm, the lighting and the tiles in the bathroom. Wonderful inn!

Great historic room but we were cold during the night. The bed needed more than a thin blanket. The heater did not really warm the room very well.

What was there not to love? Front desk - A+ Lounge -A+ (Drinks/Bartender) Restaurant - A+ (Food/Staff) Room service A+ (Food - Food taste, temperature, promptness , accuracy of order, comportment of delivery staff members. Landscape - (Layout , maintenance, lighting, landscape staff) Management - Miguel knows that exellence in customer service is more than some cute corporate slogan. The property reflects that. Excellence in customer service requires excellent employees Such is the corporate culture of Hacienda del sol.

Did not care for having to leave! Guess a return visit is in order! In fact, maybe this weekend

Fabulous;our grounds…very southwest vibe. Restaurants are great, staff is super friendly and helpful. Beds comfy and bathroom is huge.

I told the waiter after dinner that parts of the enchiladas were so tough the knife couldn't cut them. His response.."I'll let them know as that has only been on our menu for a few days". No offer for any kind of compensation. Another time, after we came in later in the evening for burgers, I saw they had added and additional 8% 'special tax' because it was Mothers Day. The waiter apologized and said that was only meant to be for the brunch and he'd remove it. I even wrote on the tab 'remove'. At checkout, it was still on there. They removed it but both of these instances left a very bad impression.

The grounds are beautiful. The room was huge with excellent, quiet air conditioning. Because it was off season, we received a room upgrade.

The breakfast logistics were difficult. The literature in the room says breakfast ends at 11am. We showed up at 9:50am on Sunday and they told us Sunday was the exception--breakfast ends at 10 am. They wanted to refuse to serve us (we had already paid), but I protested so they relented. On Monday, there was no one else there at 8:45am so we thought we'd get quick service. Instead, we had to wait a long time to place an order and even longer to see any food. We were told there was one large party in a separate dining room.

My husband and I like everything! The room was beautiful, the view was amazing. The staff was beyond nice and helpful and the breakfast that we paid extra was for amazing! Amy husband and I went for our 6th year anniversary and they asked if we were there for a special occasion and we said and told them why. While we were out walking the grounds and looking at the 3 pools they have, they he sent us a little gift box with a card congratulating us on our anniversary . It was such a nice and sweet gesture. We will definitely stay there again!

Great location and ambiance! Staff were very helpful, both at check-in and check-out. Housekeeping was on point (except when we asked for more pillows twice and they finally came at 9:30 at night).

The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all, so we woke up every morning with some body aches... but everyone has a different sleep necessity (these were all just way way way too soft). We were there in November so it was cold and the shower doesn't have a door so every morning shower was spent shivering. The restaurants at the hotel were hit and miss... we had 2 great dinners and one very very very bad lunch (unfortunately on my spouses birthday).

Ethan the bartenders and his two counterparts were extremely kind and brought great service. Ethan went out of his way to say hello the 2nd day, and made conversation. Very kind.

The Catalina pool bar service was a bit slow. We texted for 2 beers, and got the response text that it would be 30-40mins, but it was closer to 50min. We do realize bar was not staffed for the season yet, but the timing could have improved.

Charming, historical place. Our room was in the old building and it felt like you stepped back in time. The property was very quiet so you could get a good night's sleep. Shower was huge and no shortage of hot water. Staff was also helpful and friendly, offered suggestions for local restaurants. Would stay here today.

Could not get the bathroom heater to work properly thought the bedroom heater worked well.

Beautiful grounds and loved how the history of the resort was told with pictures around the buildings.

I didn’t care for the modern art mixed in with the old southwest art and design. For example, there is an art piece of swimming salmon at one of the pools, looked very out of place. Along with the box metal art around some of the buildings. Out of place and not cohesive.
