This roadside hotel is a perfect stop whether you're on the road or wanting to stick around for a few days. Room was very clean and comfortable. All staff we encountered were friendly and actually carried themselves as if they were happy we were staying with them. Quiet room, no road noise. Nice view of the ocean and sunset from the room. Great little porch with chairs to enjoy sitting outside in the evening.

Seafoam Lodge feels like a brand new hotel, everything is impeccable and in perfect condition even though it’s a mid-century property. That’s impressive. The ocean views are first rate and the forest behind the hotel is gorgeous. The staff is the best.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, I liked that the rooms had coffee makers, and little microwaves and fridges and the bottled waters were great to have. The view was beautiful, I am sure it would be gorgeous on clear days. I loved the peace and quiet and the privacy. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The WIFI was strong. We had two rooms, one was pet friendly. They had cute little toys and treats for the pets. Actually, I preferred the view from the pet friendly balconies better. They considered our request for our rooms to be closer to one another. It was a very cute place with character, and would be perfect for a quiet getaway, specially if you want to unplug and disconnect.

It was nice that breakfast was offered, specially since the location is a bit secluded; but the breakfast quality (and variety) could definitely use some improvement. A few simple changes would go a long way! The bagels and pastries were a bit stale. Also it would be nice if some healthier foods options were included, for example some whole wheat bagels or breads available as well. Also they ran out of one kind of teabag on the first day of our arrival, and the tea collection was not refilled in the next two days. I guess for the (high) price we paid for our two night stay, our expectation overall was a bit higher. Also, plan ahead for your meals as there are not many options around and the town restaurants will probably be full if you do not have a reservation.

Located south of Mendocino for shopping, enjoy art, dine, and walk about exploring art. Sea Foam Lodge has been recently remodeled and is going through a work in progress bocce ball court on the grounds. Frisbee Golf is available. Loved bringing my two little chihuahuas for a quiet and restful stay. It seemed as if every guest were with one or two dogs. Enjoyed the deck overlooking the nearby ocean waves. The beds are soft and comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows. For me, the level of soft was to my liking. My husband watched the tv while I hopped on the wifi and listened to music on my laptop. Continental breakfast is served in the morning from 8-10. Consists of variety of coffee, juices, muffins, bagels and fruit. For the doggies, little bone shaped cookies. We plan on returning with our extended family and play frisbee golf and bocce ball along with spending more time at the beaches.

We did not like that we had to leave so soon. It was enjoyable to be able to breathe the ocean air and allow the natural environment of the ocean and trees. But, we will be dreaming about this place until we return.

the view is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. plenty of parking and things to amuse yourself around the property. huge balcony with privacy still enabled you to see the ocean. Large lawn area for whatever activity you want. Breakfast was basic options with no protein options. you could eat out on your own patio or use the small porch at the office that has tables and patio heaters. a nice well kept hotel.

While every room has an ocean view I expected this property to be closer to the ocean. it is set up on a hill across the hwy and so the view of the ocean is not the shoreline because of the trees across the hwy. hey you are in a forested area so trees are to be expected. lol still a nice view and would stay again.........even with the thin walls. you are about 3 miles from Mendocino restaurants which was a much smaller village than I thought it would be. Fort Bragg is about 10 miles north with a better selection of eating places.

Location was so absolutely beautiful with trees all around and an ocean view. I really liked how every room had its own private balcony with tables and chairs. So nice to sit outside and listen to the ocean, the birds and the peace. Loved the rhododendrons blooming right in front. I would definitely stay here again.

Zach at the front was amazing! So personable and he will give you recommendations also. Loved the room, had my two pups and they loved it too! Got a double queen with a sitting area off to the side so it was a good size. Everything worked great, bathroom updated as well as everything else. Breakfast is muffins (the baked goods looked like they came from a bakery) pastries, cereal (happy for the Total brand), fruit, bagels, yogurt (Oikos), juice, organic milk, tea, coffee…actually coffee all day and chocolate chip cookies in the office. The view was awesome along with the big grassy patch.

The walls can be a little thin, but I turned on the fan and it drowned everything out. Hot tub would be awesome.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but highly recommend the GoodLife Bakery in Mendocino. It was delicious. This was an anniversary weekend getaway and the motel was great. Loved the view. Our room was spacious and the property was very quiet. We ate at the bar at the Little River Inn and had a wonderful meal. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around Mendocino, hiking around on the headlands, and going down to the beach. The scenery is gorgeous. Just a very beautiful and relaxing part of the coast.

Absolutely lovely stay! The rooms are newly renovated with a warm and personal feel. My dog and I loved sitting on the balcony, looking out over the ocean and hearing the waves crashing in. The bed was so comfy! The couple running the place are really welcoming and also helped out with local recommendations. A short 6-minute drive to the restaurants in Mendocino.

Somewhere to plug in my phone by the bed would have been nice.

The room was super cute and comfortable. Loved the ability to sit outside and enjoy the view. The property was clean and quiet.

On arrival the room was very heavily perfumed from the cleaning. I was able to air it out, however someone with sensitivity to perfumes would not have been able to stay. It would be advisable to look into less fragrant cleaning products.
