clean and modern hotel. great location. love that it has a restaurant within the hotel, was convenient when we arrived later in the evening, was able to grab a bit to eat or while lounging by the pool. having the amenities around was a great added bonus.

the water pressure in the bathroom was very low and one time it was scorching hot. the wall structure of the building is very thin. you could hear every foot step and door being closed. it can be very loud, especially in the early morning or late at night when you are trying to sleep. people need to be mindful of this, many times people would just slam doors. also wish the staff could have been more helpful with the orientation of the hotel. no one explained all the wonderful amenities that we could have used. we figured this out on our own near the end of our stay. would have been nice to get this information with proper check in. I know they were flustered upon checking in bc their computer system was down so it was stressful for them.

Cool mid-century hotel with modern updates - intelligent & helpful staff, comfortable & clean room, lovely pool & grounds, access to comprehensive health club (work out room, yoga, tennis, pickleball, lap pool), excellent poolside restaurant, wonderful "pour over" coffee in the room. Great place for a summer get-away. Relaxing poolside in the late afternoon - with one of the bar's fantastic classic mai tai's had a total "island vibe" - like being at a resort in the Caribbean or Hawaii. We will definitely return!

Unfortunately, the pool area was closed for routine maintenance on our one full free day, but that was okay in the end because we explored the Russian River area instead. The TV in room wasn't working but we were too tired & not in our room very much to bother having a staff member look at it (Note - this service was offered to us!).

Wow! So much to note as a former long time Santa Rosa resident it was great to be back in the Redwood Empire. Having stayed at The Flamingo before their major mid century remodel I definitely think they made a lot of very important improvements. We rented a King Suite with a patio which was just wonderful. You can sit outside on the deck furniture and see the beautiful pool. The room was hugely spacious. I initially booked the room that I had stayed at some years ago and was confused about the location due to the remodel. The day manager and the desk staff were immensely helpful and kind in making sure we had the best room. The desk staff at the flamingo is top notch! The sparse 1950s style furnishings for me worked. There were no dresser drawers or a desk just two end tables, a small table to eat on and one single chair. This however was fine. The bath and shower is fantastic. Huge amounts of shampoo, conditioner body wash etc. in dispensers! So convenient! The massive pool and Jacuzzi at the Flamingo can’t be equaled. You are only footsteps from both! Free towel service at the pool provided by very kind staff. There are excellent Wine Country restaurants across the streets on either side and a huge Safeway and CVS a short walk away.

The evening restaurant is REALLY overpriced and inedible. In an attempt to be sort of a Korean fusion throwback to the 1950s they lost the plot. The food was very salty and very greasy. Sans alcohol we spent about $120 and virtually nothing was edible save for the calamari and Brussels sprout sides. The drinks at the bar that we had were very good however that doesn’t make up for very flat soda at six dollars a cup. Room wise the sofa was woefully inadequate. The hotel should invest in sofa beds that are sturdier and much more solid when folded out, A child under the age of 13 would be comfortable but not an adult over 5’ 5 and 120 libs The king size bed itself was very soft and should be replaced. There should be ultra comfort in sleeping for The Flamingo to be a true resort.

The pool area was lovely although there really wasn't poolside service unless specifically ordered. The bed was really comfortable, and the room was a bit spartan, but quite pleasant. And although the hotel is a little bit out of downtown, there are decent restaurants and grocery stores etc. nearby. This hotel was recommended by travellers we had met earlier in our trip, who go there regularly. It was as it had been described, sort of resorty and fun.

POOL! Restaurant, comfortable and funky rooms, free parking. Did I mention the pool and Restaurant? The weather was perfect for swimming all day and laying by the pool -- in April! The restaurant is reasonably priced for the quality and fun.

Cost of rooms. This is definitely a splurge. We were able to steal a slice of summer after a dreadfully long winter when we met family there. But we had to budget to do it.

huge pool and great restaurant on-site

The family suite could have been better furnished. Our room did not have any dressers. There was a just a small closet with some hangers for all our clothes. The twin beds were in a smaller separate bare room that didn’t have a TV or clock or phone or anything and just 1 outlet. it literally was just 2 twin beds in an empty room. the bathroom was also small for a family suite.

Bed was very comfy. Room has a 2nd door exiting to parking lot, handy.

Staff seemed a little harried. Friend purchased champagne & snacks to drink delivered on Friday. Staff delivered it to an empty room by mistake then it took several hours to get it correctly delivered. Hotel restaurant could have more selections, only offered a limited selection of mostly bar food.

The room was very comfy and had everything that we needed, except for an elevator, but completely understood given the design and age. Outdoor bar was easy access and very friendly staff.

The property was VERY busy on this Saturday and the pool was crazy. The interior lobby was pretty well used with pool goers coming and going to the public restrooms. Not sure, but seemed like a lot of locals at the pool on that day as the parking was limited upon our arrival, but had opened up dramatically later in the evening. Outdoor walk areas around pool and bar were still pretty beat up from the busy Sat. when we came out Sunday morning.

The bed was really comfortable. I really liked the water and ice fountains that distributed the ice and water in the metal pitcher that was in my room.

...I checked in at 3:50 p.m. The clerk had me sit down in lobby and wait til 4:00 p.m before I checked in. I have been going there for years and never had that happened. The old staff always let u check in before 4:00. No coffee in rooms, or wash clothes. And no literature on what kind of restraint was in hotel. No coffee in lobby coffee pot. No carpet in my room on floor. I had a big t.v mounted on wall of room. But the bed was in a very awkward position to watch T.V. I would go to a different hotel the next time I had business in Santa Rosa. So many new hotels.

The staff was amazing. Food was delicious. Always love the pool. We got upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was a pleasant surprise and great to have a separate bedroom.

Door to bedroom wasn't hinged properly, so hard to open or close. A little surprised the bathroom was smaller in the suite but was still nice
