Did not eat breakfast / beautiful location

Rooms need to be updated - light switch at outside doorway was very loose …. Need more electrical outlet to be accessible. All except one were either behind bed or behind heavy furniture.

I’d driven by the hotel a hundred times and never knew it was there. It is located on a hilltop adjacent to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. My wife and I had tickets for the Leanne Morgan comedy show at the fairgrounds. We didn’t want to drive home after the show so I booked a room. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was within easy walking distance of the fairground, even had a walking trail that led onto the grounds. The hotel is an older facility, certainly not ritzy, but it comfortably met all our expectations. We will book there again when attending events at the fairground.

The breakfast sucked.

The view of the lake from the back patio was very good but limited by the overgrowth of the neighboring properties. The dining area was very clean and the selection of breakfast pastries was good and individually wrapped. The rate in effect for our stay was a great value and we would stay again. The property is just 'Needy' and out of balance with what need to be done to improve the guest experience. There has been improvements in the room, but except for the rate, it is not competitive. It's just a very nice old place.

It's really too bad, the breakfast pastries were nothing more than what you would find in a local convenience store. The windows were dirty and grey. That was sad because the view is wonderful. I like older properties, but they are still using aerial pictures from the 1980's when the lodge was built. I know there's a lot of work involved but the landscaping needs to be cut back and trimmed. The microwave is mounted too high on the wall and there is no table or chairs to work or eat on.

In a short walking distance to the Anderson Music Hall/GA FAIRGROUNDS. The view of the lake was beautiful & the staff was very nice. Glad for fridge, microwave, individual coffee maker & eye makeup wipes in the room.

Some of the furniture in the common area on the back porch was broken. Our bed was comfortable at first but then dipped in the middle, making it less comfortable.

Beautiful location, beautiful Lake setting very friendly staff easy check in convenient access location. Room and amenities were average but clean and complete.

Really wish hotels would stop blaming the economy or covid when they try to cheat customers out of breakfast. You can't present gas station wrapped food and call that a continental inclusive breakfast and expect guests to actually pay for that. Overall too expensive for the value.

Love how close this lodge is to the Anderson Music Hall - we stay here every time we come from Atlanta for a concert. The large downstairs lobby area with the fireplace is lovely and if you get a room with a lake view that's an added bonus.

Definitely do NOT like the dynamic pricing that's in effect when there's a concert in town - rates go way up then! Breakfast is fair at best but still nice to have as an alternative before the drive home.

We had a room with a spa tub. It was grand!! The views were excellent of the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing! Loved the outdoors pavilion/porch with the rocking chairs. There was a beautiful lobby area with a fireplace, places to sit and some games were available. The weekday breakfast was traditional breakfast items(Yogurts, pastries Cereal, juice hot chocolate etc).However the weekend meal is much better They have scrambled eggs etc

No pool! With no other options. No gym either. Lucky for us we did have a spa bath in our room!!

We were able to upgrade to a room with a view and it was worth it. View was magnificent. Hotel was very peaceful. Staff was hospitable. Great location to other towns.

Hot water heater broke on our last night there. Staff was helpful and let us know what was going on but we missed a hot shower after a day of sight seeing. A discount would have been appreciated. Carpet could be updated.

Location, location, location! Splendid view of the lake and mountains from our room and balcony. The short drive up to Bell Mountain Park offers a stunning, almost aerial, not-to-be-missed view of Lake Chatuge.

The outside of the building could do with some pressure cleaning. The Lodge is a lovely building and deserves to be well maintained. Seems like the breakfast was rather skimpy for the price.

I really like this Lodge it's just feet away from the concert hall. Can easily walk to the concerts best place to stay when in Hiawassee for a concert or the Georgia Mountain Fair week. Family is from Young Harris, my granddad owed Swanson Grocery Store across from Young Harris College. Love the mountains. Cannot wait until my next visit
