We loved this lodge. The facility was amazing. The staff was super friendly, I wish I could remember all their names but I can only remember Denise. They were all so helpful and super nice. We are excited about our next visit. The cleanliness was amazing. We loved the fire and s’mores in the evenings. The beds were some of the best we ever had. The shower was very hot and powerful! We hated leaving.
We would have loved a continental breakfast but there were several places close for breakfast including their on site restaurant. So it wasn’t a deal breaker!

From the moment we stepped on property we knew The Ridges Resort was going to be special. At first sight, the landscaping, flower beds, birds, lawns & lake view welcomed us visually, and then through the entry doors we were so graciously welcomed by, Denise! What a professional, Denise thrives on her passion for sharing all the resort has to offer its guests, missing no details in and around the hotel itself. Also striking to me was the manner in which Denise credited her teammates in making the Hotel operate in unison, the mark of a consummate professional. Our room was well equipped with comfy beds, bedding, lovely shower supplies, wifi and a peaceful balcony to watch the birds and take in the lake view. Our Granddaughter was welcomed throughout the property and had a blast at the Waterworks World & nightly S’mores by fireside. There are plenty of walkways to enjoy a brisk walk around the beautiful flower beds, pier or over to the Marina. The pool was clean, refreshing & a gorgeous blue, plenty of seating, shade and restrooms. All walking areas were easily accessible & marked. We made reservations for dinner at the Lakeside restaurant which did not disappoint. Accommodated GD with their freshly made delicious fettuccine. The Marina club offers lunch & dinner as well, all within walking ease. The only thing we should have thought about in advance was booking massages, a heavily in-demand experience. Nothing else would have made our stay any better than what we experienced. (Maybe a boat, which was an option) lol. We thank all the staff equally (I’m missing the names of a couple of other ladies, apologies), but Denise greeted us & captured our hearts at first sight. Thank you all! Debs, Em & Kristin
Honestly, nothing comes to mind! Oh, can you control the weather? lol *note to self, bring boat!

Nice place, I'd stay again. Comfortable beds and pillows. Otherwise a "standard" hotel room that you'd expect. The rooms were satisfactory, but the real benefit to this place is its location on the lake, which offers a tranquil setting and beautiful view, especially in the evening.
I thought, based on the room name on Booking, that we were getting a room with a view of the lake, but turned out to be just a view of the parking lot. If I were the developers, I would've just built the hotel so that all rooms had a lake view! No biggie though.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding a place for me to eat. The room was clean and the towels were thick and soft. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The view of the lake and the mountains is beautiful.
The hotel is very outdated. The carpet, although clean and stain free, looks very 1990's. A fresh and happy color for the carpet and paint for the walls and doors would go a long way. But the hotel and room were very clean and that, ultimately, is my main priority.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was large and had a glass door that led outside to the lawn and lake further out. We could see the s’more pit from our room. The lake view costs more, but you can have a great view. The pool was very nice. The property is beautiful. Nice walking paths.
The air conditioning was freezing in the hallways. The room air conditioning was ok, but could not get rid of the humidity in the room. Had to turn the A/C down. The breakfast was in another building. We were given a voucher, so it affordable. There is no menu. The meal sounded great, but everything was very salty and greasy.

Facilities were beautiful. We definitely will return for another stay.
No bathtub ( shower only) or microwave in the room. We didn't get to eat dinner at the restaurant on the premises because we didn't know we needed to make reservations.

The location on Lake Chatuge is very nice. Don't be too critical though. Most of us are guilty of that when reviewing. It is an older property but with updated rooms. Go see a show at the Georgia Mountain Fair venue with your significant other or friends. If you are a member of Freedom Boat Club like we are, ask about a discounted rate.

The front desk staff were always very helpful, especially Nicole and Denise. We loved the beautiful hotel, lobby, grounds, and pool area. The morning walk to the lake was so gorgeous and something exciting for our 3 and 4 year old.
