The Captain Cook Belle Vue was a real surprise for us. The location was great with a stunning (!) view of the ocan 1000 feet below. The hostess/ owner was really nice and helpful. She had great information about recreational ideas for us and took time to give helpful hints.The deck and lawn areas were great for suntanning, relaxing or watching the sun sink into the ocean. The bathroom and shower are spacious and the internet is great. We also were happy with the grocery store and the restaurants in Captain Cook. It seemed really laid back compared to the hustle of Kona and is far closer to several of the best beachs on the island. This is a small family business on 4 acres of bautifully land with trees, flowers and birds. For us it was the best B&B find we have had in 15 years coming to Hawaii. We will go back again.

Amazing location, with the best views!

Maybe could use a little updating, but then we also liked the down-home feel of this place, which I’d take anyway over a high rise hotel in the tourist area. The rooms were clean and comfortably furnished, and the refrigerator was stocked with custom gluten free breakfast bread and cereal. We were able to use the washer and dryer to launder our clothes before repacking for the trip home.

Extremely scenic, quiet and felt remote although it was very close to the center of town and restaurants. No surprises. Guest responsibilities were posted and trip hazards were identified by the host during the individual welcoming orientation.

It took one night to get used to the sounds of the nocturnal creatures.

Belle Vue is an excellent location away from the tourists but still easily accessible to the island attractions and amenities. Our host, Vivienne is lovely and knowledgeable about the island. There is a grocery store across the street, excellent local restaurants down the road a s brilliant views from the garden. The property is a quiet escape where one could relax at during the day if you don’t feel like venturing out.

This property is pretty much open air with no air conditioning. You will hear the frogs and geckos playing at night. It didn’t bother me but it could for some. I recommend wearing ear plugs if the noise is an issue.

Beautiful location, with an amazing view and gardens. Viviane was a wonderful and welcoming hostess. I appreciated the fan in the sleeping area--those coqui frogs are *loud* and the white noise was very helpful. Loved the recommendation for takeout from Shaka Tacosz for dinner--it was delicious and perfect.

position and view. great quality furniture and plenty of space. big comfortable bed.

hard to find from the address. had to put the name of property into google maps. breakfast was poor. leftovers in the fridge. kitchen and bathroom very tired and not that clean.

Away from the madness that Ironman brings to Kona

The only issue I had was that Apple Maps advised I was at the location when I was about 300 metres away. Mitigation - pay attention to the location instructions.

. The covered deck was wonderful to enjoy at at all hours. Our host was pleasant and very helpful. Views from the deck were beautiful. Basically we enjoyed our stay because it was easy to get to beaches and other places of interest.

The cereal and toast breakfast could certainly be improved.

Viviane the host is so friendly. Close to places to eat while still feeling quiet and relaxing. Close to great snorkeling. Really lovely apartment. We would stay here again.

The cottage was truly enchanting, sparkling clean, and the views down to Kealakekua Bay were out of this world. My wife particularly enjoyed the birdsong in the mornings and evenings. Our hostess, Viviane, couldn't have been nicer. We left feeling more like old friends rather than as temporary guests. It's a lovely spot.
