I had the most peaceful and beautiful stay at this hotel. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous, and the view was breathtaking. What made it even better were the friendly cat and dog who added to the charm of the place. The breakfast options were delightful, with a variety of choices over the three days I stayed. It was a great way to start each day of my trip. The hotel offered a range of amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Wifi and the public area are great! The rooms were not only spotlessly clean but also thoughtfully furnished with Hawaiian elements, creating a truly immersive experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Nothing really! Everything is so perfect!

Superfriendly hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Location is great if you are looking for a place AWAY from the hustle and bustle and touristy spots of Kona. We loved it! (drive to Kona can be about 20 minutes depending on traffic) Lots of bird and frog sounds, very immersed in nature. Beautiful view of the coastline and the macadamia farms. Room was comfy, we were given a small table at our request to be able to work on a computer from the couch. Bathroom seems to have been recently remodeled, great shower! Everything very clean. Breakfast was excellent, home cooked and with fresh fruit from the neigbourhood farms. You can also use dishes etc for preparing your own quick meal or drink all day long. Beautiful sunsets to watch from the patio each night. We enjoyed the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by Sharon and Thomas and the many conversations we had. Other guests during our stay were also very friendly, the 3 rooms share the patio and enjoy a joint breakfast. >>> Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a little piece of paradise away from the big touristy places.

Nothing to complain about! Turn/driveway from the street is a bit steep and takes some getting used to, but it was fine in the end.

The view was amazing, beautiful sunsets over the ocean flanked by palm trees. Daytime a slope to the macadamia orchard below and the pacific beyond. The location is great with the place of refuge and two step about a 5 minute drive away. Some of the best snorkeling on the island at two step and several other beaches nearby. The breakfasts were always delicious with fresh tropical fruit and juice every morning along with something extra special made by Sharon. Were there 10 days and had a different cooked item every day and all were great. There is a telescope left out to get a better look at anything seen from the 180 degree view of the ocean from its 750 foot elevation. Did see a few whales a few mornings. Thomas let us explore the macadamia orchard and we picked up pocketfulls of nuts which we brought to the common lounge area to crack and eat with the provided cracker. It was nice to be greeted by Kulani , Thomas and Sharons dog when returning after each days excursions. I was lucky enough to get some fresh marlin from a fishing trip and Thomas put out a grill and all the tools needed to cook it up when asked. We all enjoyed it family style. We couldn't have asked for a better host and hostess or place to stay.

Having to leave and go back to winter

This is the friendly, quiet B&B we all like, and with outstanding breakfasts, it's awesome. Sharon & Thomas are excellent hosts, attentive but never intrusive. Breakfasts are wonderful-lots of fruit from their property! And something hot, different every day: pastry with homemade jam, Portuguese hash, German apple pancake, etc. We spent too much time relaxing, reading, enjoying the view, the birds, and unwinding.

The drive in is along a very winding road, fun for some, but not too long.

Clearly, the breakfasts were outstanding. Each of our three breakfasts was completely unique from the day before; the variety of the local fruits (some grown right on the property) was amazing. Coffee was also great. Each room had some beach chairs, towels, and a small cooler to use while out for the day. Very serene and peaceful (with just three guest rooms). We would definitely return to this place the next time we're on the Big Island. This location is ten minutes from Pu'uhonua o Honaunua Natl Historic Park, adjacent to 2-Step Beach. Make sure to visit the national park and do the Coastal Trail.

I can't think of anything to improve. However, you do need a car to get here.

This is the bestest B&B we have ever stayed! Sharon and Thomas are excellent hosts. The view from the front yard is gorgeous and open. We can see the ocean and orchard directly from the front yard. The location is not far from town and beaches, but it’s far enough to avoid city light and noise. All we can hear at night is Hawaiian nature sounds. The nights were mostly cloudy so we couldn't see the stars. If we came in dry season, I'm sure the sky will be beautiful. Sharon made us excellent breakfast with local fruits from their garden every morning. We can’t ask for more. Plus, there’re 6 cute cats and 1 super friendly dog!

We had to leave :-(

Very comfortable accommodations with a beautiful view. The breakfast provided was absolutely phenomenal! We were very pleased with the location. It really felt like a Hawaiian experience. Loved the comfortable lanai. We enjoyed interacting with the hosts and their pets. The property was well-maintained and comfortable. They provided supplies such as chairs, cooler, towels, or anything you may need just by asking. Very helpful and friendly! Really appreciated the refrigerator within the room.

Nothing! Five-star experience!

Breakfast was amazing!! They really go above and beyond. The room was very quiet, comfortable and clean. The host are so helpful and knowledgeable. They give you the best tips about spots to visit and best places to eat. Location for us was a little too far from the main Kona downtown (20 min drive) but I would still definitely stay there again.
