Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown

The room was of nice size and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom clean. The continental breakfast was included and was good. The location was excellent and suggestions for affordable parking were provided.

One of the elevators broke down over the weekend and that was rather inconvenient as a large number of guests had to use only one elevator. For a high-rise of that size it was unacceptable. But the tome we checked out on Sunday it was still out of function.

The location was amazing. One block away from the magnificent mile and a 5 min walk from the Museum of Ice cream. The staff was super attentify and will give tips on what to do on the city. Breakfast was great liteally a complete meal. The room was super confortable, having a little living room was great traveling with a baby.

The staff were all welcoming and ready to help in any way. Hot breakfast every morning and cab ready when needed.Good wifi .The grandchildren enjoyed the pool and exercise room daily.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and could feel springs all over. Called and asked for something to pad it with. They sent a foam mattress to fit over it and he was very comfortable the whole stay.

Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of variety.

The only downside was that the walk-in lobby is not the hotel lobby and it’s not obvious that you have to go to the sixth floor to reach the hotel lobby to check in. There needs to be much better signage.

Breakfast was fabulous. Location is super, walkable to all the nearby attractions. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a few blocks. The room was very large and included all amenities. Facilities were clean and in good working order. Having two tvs in the room was very nice. Excellent shower and hot water. The staff was kind and helpful, especially at breakfast. Highly recommend!

The only negative was that we requested the room to be made up and towel/linen exchange in the morning on Saturday of our 5 day stay, and they did not come around until very late. We were already getting ready to leave for the evening, so there was no service to the room or trash removal for our entire stay. Since it is opt-out by default, it is important to carry out cleaning if and when requested.

We liked the breakfast and the clean and quiet room. The staff was extremely prompt and accommodating.

Chicago weather is unpredictable :)

The rooms are very spacious. Having a full kitchen was great. Breakfast was great. Eggs, potatoes and sausage plus cereal, toast, Waffles, bagels and muffins Coffee was delicious. We walked everywhere. Navy pier, Grant Park, millennium park and miracle mile all within walking distance. Location was the best.

The parking rate of 67.00 a day is ridiculous but it is chicago and with our location so close to everything made it ok. I didn't appreciate that I had to take out my own garbage, replace towels and make the pull out couch. I requested room service but they said it was to late. It was before noon.

Breakfast was good according to American standards, but did not meet the requirements of travelers used to European continental breakfast standards; we missed croissants, baguette type white bread, ham, cheese and darker coffee. We think it's better to brew really dark coffee, which can be mixed with hot water according to preferences, but the opposite is impossible. No complaints, mere suggestions.

Breakfast, as I stated before, was not entirely satisfactory mainly because we are latin americans, but we aprreciated the efforts staff made to keep the place always clean and tidy and to make sure beverages and food were at guest's disposal at all times. I insist, these are suggestions rather than complaints.

Very good location of the hotel in the heart of the city. Around very close to the subway station and Michigan Ave. The rooms in the hotel were very spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning and vents worked well in high temperatures (over 38 degrees C outside - over 100 degrees F). Breakfasts were quite good. The gym was well equipped.

The organization of breakfasts was quite difficult due to the few tables available. An additional difficulty was the cleanliness of the tables. The staff was not always available on their own initiative. I often asked to clean up, which sometimes resulted in dissatisfaction of the staff. The pool needs some renovation - it is quite old - I did not meet anyone who used the pool.

The staff was extremely helpful (especially Fabiola Hernandez). I spoke with at least three people, and all of them were friendly. We found the location to be fantastic. The premium room we ended up with was just the size we were looking for. The room and kitchen had everything we needed.

Breakfast was ok. We're from Germany, where we often eat cold cuts and cheese slices on bread for breakfast, not bacon and eggs. It would have been nice to have some of those, but there was yogurt and fruit and other choices, so it was fine. Our original room was much smaller than expected. Our family of four plus four suitcases and as many backpacks would not have fit in there, but luckily we were able to move. There was no business center with a computer or printer where we could print our boarding cards.
