The hotel was great.The continental breakfast was outstanding always a hot breakfast served on regular plates with regular silverware and cloth napkins, no plastic, or paper here! The hotel and staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. They are all very pleasant and accommodating. The pool was lovely to swim in the water was warm and the pool n pool area was very clean. I especially liked that they had a full service spa right inside the hotel.The only drawback was it was not open on weekends. This hotel is very upscale but at a reasonable price. We will stay there again the next time we come to Galena.

The only thing I would have liked if they provided a guest laundry room so we could wash our dirty clothes before leaving for home.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast pancakes were a nice treat and Breakfast room well stocked and clean. Nice patio to relax outside

Went to the spa for a pedicure and was disappointed with the manicurist. She was abrupt and seemed rushed. Quality of manicure was sloppy and when asked for correction she acted put out. In spite of quality I gave a 20% tip without a mention of thank you. My bad for rewarding poor service.

This is excellent hotel. I do not know why it has only two stars instead of four. They are currently installing the elevator (hotel has two floors). We had a room on a first floor. It was very big, clean, modern, beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. They have a machine that makes perfect pancakes. All you need to do is to press number of pancakes you want and wave a hand. In a minute they begin to come 😊. But the best is that hotel is located in close proximity to the center of Galena. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we could find a parking, on weekends I assume it will be hard to do. We took excellent tour on a trolley. For a scenic drive and a lunch with a view drive to nearby ski resort (6 miles).

Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectation

I must tell you about the bar tender on the night of June 11 2022, we had a few drink and he was wonderful, at the end of the night I paid for our bar tab and forgot to pick up my credit card.. Next day at the front desk he had left it with a note to give it to me when I checked out. I am SOOOOOOOO appreciative that he was a honest man and did that. You don't see that now a days. He needs a raise.. :)

the day we stayed there (June 10th and 11th) we were informed the elevator was out of order, well both my girls have had knee and ankle surgery about a month ago and it was a HUGE problem for them to go up and down the stairs !!!!!!!!! When we checked in they should have asked if we had a problem with that and we would have said YES and offered us a room on the main floor. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a very large pool and hot tub which was nice to relax in. the fitness area was a good place to get in some cardio. The bar was a nice place to have a drink after a long day and the bartender had people laughing and having a good time after a long day of driving in snowy conditions. it also has different kinds of seats which is nice if you have back issues.

The driveway in is a bit wonkey especially at night if you don’t expect it.

I know things have changed with Covid, & we have not traveled recently so we were surprised that no effort was made to let us know we had to ask for clean towels on the morning after our first night. we came back after a day out in downtown to find our trash not removed & our wet towels still in a pile in the bathroom. it really was not a problem & we’re given fresh towels as soon as we asked . but if we were told when we checked in then it would not have been an issue.

It was a very nice place to stay. At check-in we were able to change our room to the ground level, instead of second floor. The was great especially due to the elevator just being installed and not working yet. The rooms were great, and also the outside sitting area. Were able to sit, relax and play cards, & have a few drinks :)

Only thing our toilet wasn't working the best, staff said it had to do with the city working on the water tower nearby. Otherwise by the next day it seemed fixed

The property was bigger than we expected and we liked the decor of the lobby. (It is also conveniently located next to a Walmart for last minute incidentals.) The pool and exercise areas were lovely as well as the sitting deck at the back of the property.

The breakfast wasn’t that great.

Clean not fancy but very clean. Great bedding, ice machine. x The breakfast is what you expected for complimentary but fine.

The complimentary coffee when we arrived was empty and stayed empty. The coffee during breakfast was empty and had to wait for carafe to be refilled and tasted like it had been sitting in the back. Kinda awful. There was only one staff person at breakfast so maybe that was why.
