Elk Rapids Lakeshore Inn

The young lady on staff made the difference. She quickly responded to our requests for toiletries, coffee and towels. She was very kind. You can tell the owners care about the property and have done the best they could to update. Carpet in the room was clean and in good shape, bed and pillows were nice, linens were of good quality. Air conditioning and water pressure was excellent.

This is an older motel so you cannot expect most modern extravagant amenities. Walls are thin, electrical outlets are sparse, rooms and bathrooms are very small. The only thing I think they could realistically do to improve the stay would be to install a water softener. The water from the tap has a strong sulfur smell that is unpleasant to the nose and taste.

I thought the location was quite remote. I was looking for a place to stay close to Torch Lake. No fault of the inn. Booking.com recommended as a close by property. It was close to 30 mins away from Torch.

Clean, a short walk to the beach, we’ll maintained.

The entrance to the Inn is a little challenging to find and the road is very busy. It would have been helpful to have some sort of guide to the tv channels since we were new to the area.

My Girlfriend and I were celebrating our 1 year over the weekend and we rented it there it was such a nice quiet little place not to far of a drive either and just a couple miles down the road was the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had called Red Mesa Mexican Grill. The manager was amazing anytime we had a question she answered it right away no problem and the price I paid for a king room for 3 nights wasn’t bad at all

This location is extremely quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Lots of interesting shops nearby. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pearls is a great resteraunt nearby that is a "must try and see" if you visit. Will definitely be visiting in the future

Great location in Elk Rapids for a one night stop over. Our room was recently updated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was a quiet location.

The small room was really just right.

we were misled to it being by the lake and it was not. The access was a quarter mile downhill and in a residential area where parking is not appreciated. No Ice Machine.

We would have rated our room excellent if there had been grab bars in the bathroom. I would have liked a handicap room, but none were available.

Door didn't shut well. Had to really work to shut door. TV was not working well.

Very nice couple owns motel and very receptive to comments.

Everything was nice! I loved the using the outside grill and fire pit.

I’m short so mirror needed to be lowered in the bathroom…lol. We had a great stay! Thank you!!
