I loved everything about the property. We were there for a funeral on Friday night and Saturday morning. Both locations, although they were in two different directions, were both about 10 minutes from the hotel. I didn’t know, but bc I love DoubleTree, I took the chance.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the type of luggage carts they had. They looked like something that is used in warehouses. It was not anything I’ve seen in hotels before. It didn’t look family friendly so we just carried our luggage in and out for the stay.

Location was excellent. Check-in/out was super easy. The room was clean, comfortable and appropriately supplied.

As a customer I simply cannot appreciate an almost $60 difference in rates between a Saturday and Sunday stay. I know it's just business, but still... My primary complaint concerns "free wifi". Free wifi is promoted as a perk, but apparently only if I joined Hilton's Honor Club. This little detail is not mentioned anywhere on any promo or documents I have. But there is a note at the bottom of the sign-in window informing me that wifi is NOT free and I may be charged if I don't join Honors. As I don't travel enough, and with no wish to join another "club", I was, therefore, unable to connect to Doubletree's wifi during my stay. I view this is as deceptive. If this is your policy it should be clearly stated.

Location, clean lobby, helpful front desk receptionist. Overall nice clean place to stay. Exceeded expectations. My husband and I plan to stay again next time we’re in town visiting family.

Nothing major, the hallways got a bit noisy at night but that was to be expected with it being thanksgiving and people checking in after spending time with family. Showers could use an upgrade as well. Our tub had small but noticeable cracks and chipped plaster.

the prossionalism

the cost of a meal and the doors on your rooms, especially the handicapped room are extremely heavy and hard to manage while in a mobility device. I was almost knocked off my scooter trying to manipulate the door and scooter. The way a guest orders breakfast, type of breakfast is not adequately explain, i.e. that there are two prices, hot bar verses al a cart.

We were looking for somewhere quiet and clean for an overnight stay on our way to myrtle beach. We were pleased with the comfort of the bed, the temperature of our room, and the cleanliness of the room as well. The staff was really friendly. Breakfast is not included if you aren’t a rewards member and was $8 for cold items and $13 for hot and cold, which we found to be expensive for the options available. However there are a lot of food options nearby so it was easy to run and pick something up.

Breakfast was ok, maybe not $15 ok and I say that because I don’t eat a lot for breakfast so $15 was high for what I actually ate.

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not. I had to use all four and that still wasn’t enough as soon as my head touched the pillows they deflated.

the decor was gorgeous and the staff was very friendly. from the the kitchen to the front desk even on the phone, they were just so friendly.

there was a spider in our bed and in the tub. there was also a very rusty mirror which rusted the sink also. the water pressure in the shower kinda lacked as well as the temperature. didn’t stay hot for long. the toilet paper holder was pretty broken also.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, beds comfortable.

Everything was beautiful, bed comfortable, room clean. Except the AC did not cool the room down completely, no matter the temperature it only cool off to a certain point which made the night alittle warm to sleep. Thank God I remember my fan.

Only issue was the need to hold have to checkout and check back in when I decided to stay an extra night. Causing them to hold yet another 250 dollars from my card because I’m “a local resident”. Completely unnecessary!

I am a mother of an autistic son so most of the time I don't always looked 100 percent. My confidence was shot when I was fixing a plate for my son and I and a staff member asked me for my room number and proceeded to look at me like I didn't belong there. It was very awkward.
