Staybridge Suites - Columbus Polaris, an IHG Hotel

It was all quite nice. I didn’t give it a 5 star because you can always improve on something. The staff was very nice and accommodating for the extra things we needed. They were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

I felt like the temperature of the pool water could have been much warmer. We took our grandsons to Jurassic Quest and just decided to get a hotel because they enjoy swimming and staying at hotels but two of the three couldn’t swim because it was too cold. so that was disappointing for them. The fruit that was served at breakfast had a funky taste to it that I didn’t like at all. It definitely wasn’t fresh.

The hotel was located right next to the shopping that I was in town for, but in a way that was accessible and I didn’t have to deal with much traffic to get to. My room was great. The sofa was a little firm, but that wasn’t a huge deal. My bed was like a cloud! It was truly one of the softest beds I’ve ever slept in. I liked that the mirror and sink were outside of the bathroom so the mirror didn’t fog up while I was in the shower, also the water pressure in the shower was fine; but if you want a great shower, maybe lower your expectations. I did appreciate that there were shampoo, conditioner, and body wash built into the shower. It was a pleasant surprise that they were pretty good quality too! I also like that there was a full sized coffee maker and real mugs available for me to use. Plus, salt in the cabinet because I like a pinch of it in my coffee to curb the bitterness. It was a small thing, but I appreciated it!

The corridors are a little windy. And it was a little confusing to find my room because it wasn’t where I thought it would be, at all. I was in 308, which you would think would be next to 307 and 309, but it was actually down the hall and around the corner. not a big deal, just a little odd. Also, the door on my bathroom was so loud and squeaky that I didn’t get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom for fear of waking up everyone in the entire hotel. Very very minor things in the grand scheme of things though!

Breakfast was great choices. Here for a basketball tournament. Boys enjoyed breakfast also. Suite had enough room and a full kitchen with an ice maker in refrigerator. Clean room and friendly staff .

I didn't like the one entrance to the bathroom through the only bedroom. Usually there are two entrances as not to disturb everyone. It was clean though.

Enjoyed the king studio suite room size and layout, spacious and comfortable sofa area, beautiful and clean kitchen in the room. The bathroom and dressing area were very clean. Bed was comfy. We were traveling on a weekend to visit family, but this room would be an excellent studio apartment for an extended work trip.

Would have liked a selection of bed pillows, or the option to request a smaller, thinner pillow that didn't give a stiff neck. Also would appreciate extra blankets or warmer bedding. Even though it was an 83 degree early October weekend outdoors, it was chilly in the room at night.

Easy to get around, straightforward signs to get you where you need to go. Super cool social with free dinner and booze on a Monday night. Bed was excellent, room size is perfect and all the amenities were a great addition. Great breakfast options as well! Hotel staff was friendly and ready to help upon arrival. Quickest hotel check in I’ve ever experienced. 👍

good location, nice room, continental breakfast was good

the fact that COVID affects the cleaning of the rooms, to me that should be more of a reason to do it daily. We stayed 3 nights, and you had to stay 4 to get your room automatically cleaned, the fact that you have to ask for towels, toilet paper, etc. each day is ridiculous. The carts to help transport your luggage, etc., to the rooms are too small.

The room was very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

The elevator button was broken on the 1st floor sothe font desk clerk was kind enough to go upstairs and send the elevator down for us as we had a cat full of luggage and supplies.

Wish Holiday Inn would improve there breakfast - typical breakfast stuff - never eat there always go to better restaurants to eat breakfast.

Clean and updated. Friendly staff. Great breakfast variety even with it being grab and go, just have to get down there at 7:45am to get it before it’s gone.

We were very pleased, a couple of things to improve on were not enough breakfast or coffee to go around. Requested more towels for the room when housekeeping was right next door, they said they would leave them and never did. We will definitely return next time we are on the area.

Location to our friends, breakfast & rooms very nice.

We were placed on the side of hotel next to the freeway. Very noisy. If I hadn't unpacked before I realized how bad it was I would have asked to be moved!
