We lived it’s proximity to Crater Lake and the property was well cared for. It was apparent that the owners, Sonia and Danny, invested much time, effort and skill in maintaining it. There was no missed detail.

We were most pleased with the property at first sight. Then we realized the AC unit was not working. They said it had worked earlier that morning and were surprised by this. It was a Saturday and they tried what they knew to do but with no success. They brought us a nice rotating fan, and later came to the room to tell us they’d found a local hotel with working AC who had a room for us. We declined that offer and chose to stay at Maple Leaf as everything else was impeccable. Life happens to all of us at some time or another. Upon checking out, they offered to cover the cost of the room and we agreed upon a discount.

The room was clean and quiet. The fridge in the room was useful for storing drinks and leftovers. The Food Network provided great entertainment before bedtime for the whole family. Pizza At the Cove was our dinner of choice. Their Umpqua pizza was delicious!

Not much nearby to see. Never had the chance to try the food truck because it closed each time we wanted to check it out... We tried to go around 6:30 pm but the first time it was sold out and the second time was a Sunday so they probably just closed early.

This is a small family-owned motel with the wonderfully warm environment you can only get from this kind of All-American inn. The staff seemed to know who we were even before we stated our name at the counter, the scent of a delicious meal floated into the lobby from their own kitchen, and the owners were really sweet. The location, with local access to Rogue River activities and Crater Lake was perfect, and the price was great. Multiple restaurants, grocery stores and an excellent fishing store were all within a short drive.

My husband & I have stayed at many motels/hotels from the bottom of California to Washington, this is by far on our top 5 places to stay! Rooms are SUPER clean, beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, the owner is very friendly & sweet! They even have a food truck on site, with reasonable prices & good food, including burgers. Also love the little decorations, makes it very home like & cozy, through rugs as well! Also has a really cute out door setting with tables and chairs, BBQ etc Just all around very nice place!! Definitely will be staying again!

Property had an easy layout, everything was clean and nicely kept, well-cared for. Had a little coffee maker in the room and easy to use thermostat. The room was spacious. The lady in the office was very kind and friendly, offered good suggestions for local restaurants. I would have stayed for longer. May have to return in the spring or summer to see Crater Lake. The property has a BBQ, picnic area, and sitting area out front which I’m sure is nice to use in good weather.

Some road noise, but it is to be expected due to the highway right there.

The pool was great. We had avoided breakfast on our tour of Oregon, partly because we had a vegan amongst us, and part of the quality see so far. But when I called in to look at the breakfast it looked great. lots of choice and appealing food. Wish we had tried it.

The rooms are a bit dark.

good location. excellent motel manager, courteous, friendly, helpful. did not get breakfast. beds comfortable. rooms very clean. facilities excellent. was really nice to find a Gideon's Bible (unlike the big chain motels). would stay again.

lower price. seems like noone rents motels for under $100/night.

I loved the creative artistic paint job lol~ I also loved the tasteful furnishings and the vase with the touch of fall. When I arrived I asked for a quiet room and the owner gave me the key to #10 and it was perfect for me! It had a neighborhood feel toward the back of the property. I loved the large windows that I could open because I love lots of fresh air!!!

I really can't think of anything except the coffee was not that good--everything else was perfect.

This is a cute little "vintage" motel! Well maintained, good furnishings, and the bathroom was well appointed (good towels, product, and a 3 tier shelf my sister and I really appreciated!). Very clean, very comfortable.

Can't think of a thing I didn't like.

We were very impressed with the little things that they thought about like a clock radio with outlets! The room was very nicely furnished and very clean and up to date. Easy drive from Crater Lake.

It is very close to a main road so it was a little noisy. We turned on the air conditioning and drowned it out. The only real negative was the smoke from the fires but that was obviously not their fault!
