Another great stay at Spruce Lane Cottages with the Ice box outside now filled with bags of ice and someone working in the offices. The cleaning lady, Dagmar was so sweet and gave me some more towels since we were there for four nights. We were in cottage number 75 which was a 2 queen cottage and was located on the end of the cottages. It did not have a view of the airport but was within walking distance from a laundromat behind the cottage so we could walk to do our laundry. There was a small fridge without a freezer in our room as well as a microwave and coffee maker with decaf coffee. My husband loved our cottage which was very spacious and homey with a table and two chairs.
Middle Light switch by front door turned off cable tv and no light switch for bathroom light over sink which had to be plugged in to turn on and unplugged to turn off.

This place has great value, the price we paid was well worth it. The beds, for me, were fine, firm but didn't hurt my hips or shoulders however I would enjoy a gel foam layer. The bathroom was clean, free of hairs, mold, mildew etc. Carpets were vacuumed and linens smelled fresh. I can understand how some might find negativity in the customer service. Customer service people sounded ethnic, perhaps Asian descent, and so culturally there are some differences in how people interact. I found customer service to be fine. If you need people to be over friendly and coddle you then you might feel CS is a bit cold and rude.
The linoleum around the tub had water damage but it was not a big deal.

I love the price during the week and the feeling of staying in a apartment as opposed to being in a hotel. One concern I had the last couple times staying there is that like most places they get used over and over again the quality of the space starts to decline and get tired, I often think that some of the money that is made auto go back into maintaining or upgrading the building. The other thing is I really wish that it was pet friendly although I can understand the type of damage a pet can make.
As I said above, it seems like the cabin this getting tired.

I had the King Bed cottage with a sofa and the cottage was clean, spacious and had everything that I needed. I extended my stay through Booking. com by reserving additional nights and requesting cottage number 31. The rates were 50 dollars per night lower by booking through Booking.com. The office is closed and there was no one at the property on the 3 nights I was there except for Karen the cleaning person. I felt at home in the lovely cottage which is located in Smoketown and found it to be very easy to navigate to local Lancaster, Bird in the Hand, Strassburg, Intercourse, Shady Maple Smorgasbord and the Lancaster Visitor Center. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room. There is also Wi-Fi in the room.
There is no ice in the Ice freezer located next to Cottage 21. There was just an old white bag with a block of old melted ice that had refrozen as a brick.

I like the feeling of being at home instead of in a hotel. The other thing I like is, it's not in the middle of everywhere I want to be, but it's close enough to everything.
I think they need to invest into the property and do some upkeep on the rooms but that could be said about any hotel or motel. That's been used for a while.

It was the perfect location for us for the weekend. And it was comfy and quiet. It was also very clean and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. I like that I felt like I was literally in my own place and not stuffed in a hallway with several other hotel rooms and noise. We had some snow and ice overnight and the walkway and parking lot were cleaned and salted and safe within a very reasonable amount of time. It honestly was the perfect spot for us and we'll be back next month for another long weekend for an archery tournament.
The coffee maker wasn't working correctly and I'm a coffee person first thing in the morning. Fortunately for me and my family, Sheetz is literally next door. Also, the bathroom/shower area isn't heated so it was kinda chilly. And the small window on the wall separating the bathroom from the sleeping area could use a small curtain or blinds for privacy. Seriously though, it was an absolutely pleasant place to stay.

Our cottage was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We loved the location. The complex felt like a little neighborhood. Housekeeping kept us well supplied with towels and coffee.
I was not a fan of the remote check-in process. No answer on my first call to check in, but I got someone on the second call. We arrived at dark and it was difficult to see to enter the lockbox code. Also, porch light did not work and many lamp post lights weren't functioning.

No breakfast. Loved the size of the room and how big the bathroom was. Great shades on windows and nice to have so many windows We plan to go there again. A nice hideaway close to shopping and restaurants.. Fun to see small planes and helicopters take off.
Person who answered the phone for contactless check in and check out could have been more welcoming. One of the comforters had frayed edges that almost caused me to trip. Door to freezer in mini fridge kept falling out when we open the main door.

I like that instead of feeling like you are in a hotel you feel like you are home. Even though its advertised as touch less, there is a housekeeper there with fresh towels.
I think that money needs to be invested in the cottages upkeep. The buildings are looking tired aber it is greatly improved since the pandemic.

The cottage was cute and very clean. My husband and I were very comfortable. The refrigerator was a good size for a short vacation. The dining area was perfect. Even though we requested no housekeeping service while we were there, a bundle of fresh towels and supplies was left at our door. How helpful!
The check-in process was frustrating. There were no staff members on site and we had to check in by phone. The lock boxes for the keys were locked onto the handle of a bench on the office porch. I found it very difficult to open the lock box. I cleared and retried the combination many, many times. My husband tried it several times, as did another guest who was trying to check in. I really wish there were staff members there to aid in our check-in.
