The room was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator was a good size. The coffee maker was a keurig, very nice 👌. Breakfast was great and even had someone cooking fresh eggs to order. There was a lounge/bar area. Covered swimming pool. Outside area with grill near pool area. The hotel is in a quiet area with park and river across the road. I was quite impressed with the whole experience.

There is a restaurant in the hotel but I would not recommend it. It took over an hour to receive two burgers. Half the menu items were not available. The cook did not know how to make a sauce that was supposed to be for the appetizer we ordered. The prices were expensive also. Just not worth it, especially the wait time.

Friendly staff and managers! Hotel has changed owners recently. It has great potential if effort goes into improving facilities. It has excellent location close to Historic Downtown of San Angelo and is a reminder of the good old times of classic travel. My stay was short but emotionally intense and I would like to thank staff supporting me, like an extended family: Wendell (for kindness in nights with little sleep), Robert (for making sure I have something to eat) K'Lee (for guiding me to experience the place from the perspective of a local), Jose for a special welcome, and new managers for all they do to keep hotel alive!

Shuttle to or from airport was not available. Bar was open only in the first night, on July 4. Restaurant is closed and only meal available is breakfast (apart from light refreshments sold by reception). It is a short walk to bars and restaurants Downtown; however, as it was very hot, it was unpleasant to have no option to benefit from shelter in hotel.

The value was outstanding - large, clean, comfortable room, pet-friendly with no up-charge, lovely facility, and genuinely nice staff. We had no idea breakfast was included, so that was an extra bonus of a very nice place. I’d like to send a shout out to our check-in clerk, Wendell. He was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We appreciated that so much after a long day on the road.

Not a thing. We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the San Angelo Clarion. Excellent value for such a nice, friendly hotel.

Love the location love the rooms and the service. The comforters need to be cleaned with a little more detail but other than that we love staying here it is great.. also heat the pool up some its freezing !!

The Pool is too cold, being an inside pool is wonderful I love it so much and the first time I stayed there the pool was not that cold. They had a heater on it to take the ice chill out of it but it broke and next time we came back they were going to have it fixed...but instead they just eliminated it ..and now the pool is like ice.. The jacuzzi is great warm and all but please warm the pool a little at least ....

Was nice to have a hot tub inside to relax and rooms were nice and clean for the most part. Beds were comfy. Had a cable tv that is a very nice size! Late access to the bar and poker lounge and the pool is open until 11pm!

The property is in my opinion poorly advertised in pictures. The pictures are very old and also edited. Sets the bar for a modern fancy hotel but it’s an older one with need for renovation and the indoor pool are was nothing like the picture and very neglected. Not to mention the pool was ICE cold.

All of the staff was very nice and courteous. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Even though we had a last minute booking due to another property not accommodating us at the last minute the accepted us with open arms and provided us with exactly what we needed. I do recommend this hotel. Breakfast was good as well, especially the omelette station.

Because I was at Fort Conch every day of my visit, I especially liked how convenient it was to the fort. I was also pleasantly surprised that the hotel had someone who would cook an omelette at your request.

Can’t think of anything in particular; I didn’t use the pool so I can’t say anything about that

We arrived a little early yet housekeeping got our room ready, and left a nice note. Reception staff dealing with a difficult customer with a calm demeanor and a smile. Decent breakfast, excellent coffee, Super down comforter, lovey warm room. USB ports available.

Towels are a tad small for this heavy girl. The shampoo/conditioner/soap and no longer the wonderful brand they had before, they are low quality.

First 2 rooms were not to our expectations but staff accommodated us to a better room. We were informed that hotel is going thru renuvations.

Bathrooms were small and would have rather have had showers than bathtubs. Cabinets are old and the door would not close which hid the small frig. Carpet could have been better. The bathroom door at the bottom is worn out.

We didn't get to eat breakfast because our softball games were earlier than when breakfast started. The restaurant and bar area was a nice little hangout place. The restaurant had some excellent wings. The room was cozy enough for my family of 4.

I don't have anything bad to say.
