Best Western Resort Hotel & Conference Center Portage

Loved the pancake machine and the rotation of the daily specials for breakfast and the choice of strong normal or mild on the coffee machine. All staff were friendly and helpful. Prompt maintenance attention. Incognito on business center computer .

I would have liked a folding table or plastic carrying tub for clean laundry by the washing machine. The wifi went weird a couple of times and my phone claimed it wasn't secure. Other times it was ok

The mattress was great. Most things at breakfast were labeled with ingredients which was very helpful as our granddaughter was with us and she has several allergies. In spite of the allergies, she was able to enjoy a good breakfast. The refrigerator/freezer was awesome. The price was good.

There were little flies in the room. The bathroom fan was very loud. The tub had a constant drip, and seemed to have a ring in the tub.

Breakfast was good every morning. The attendants very polite and informative. Front desk friendly and helpful. It was remote, but the Dells were only 20-25 min drive.

The signage says Best Western, not that it is a Resort/Conference Center. So maybe that has changed? The rooms could've used some darkening curtains.

Hotel was clean and fresh (no funky smells or overpowering odor of cleaning supplies). All areas, including the room and the common areas were spacious.

The maintenance staff could have done a better job of snow removal. Days after the last snow of a couple inches the parking lot was still snow packed, and the sidewalk wasn't shoveled.

The room was very spacious and bright. Breakfast was good.

The pool had sand all over it and the hot tub was lukewarm and the jets hardly worked. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room and the jets did not work either. Breakfast could use more of a variety but overall was ok.

Overall great experience, stay was good, room was good with a few exceptions. There was a hole in the bathroom door, but wasn’t anything too concerning. The breakfast was good, had a lot of options and food was fresh.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like other than the hole in the door.

The location is excellent for being able to attend our Church Campmeeting. The kids enjoyed being able to use the pool other states did not have the pool open. The staff were courteous and helpful. There was enough parking close to where our room was located.

I think they should open up the hot breakfast again. The prepackaged stuff is not so good. I was a little worried because of some previous reports in past years of "bed bugs". so we were checking everything but we did not have any problems. The cost was higher than usual but I believe it was because of the demand for this weekend.

Location was convenient and the property was adequate for our needs. We found it to be as advertised. Room was quiet even though we were located near the highway.

It is an older property and needs some updates soon. The shower made a loud high-pitched noise after it was on for a minute or so.

Breakfast provided. Rooms were comfortable.

Staff not friendly. Not having maid service daily to empty trash and replacing used linen . I use towels and hand towels a couple of days but need a clean wash cloth daily.

Proximity to highways and services. Bed was very comfortable. Suite was sweet.

Noted a ton of dead beetles in window sill and scraps of paper littered in bathroom and closet. Room needs a good vacuuming
