Barkers Island Inn Resort & Conference Center

There is construction going on so less options to see the full glory. A little outdated room furniture but still very comfortable and clean rooms.. The restaurant is beautiful and great service and the island has beautiful views and a wonderful little store.

The pool and hot tub are wonderful sizes and good depth for both kids and adults however there was a layer of grime on the tile of the pool just above the water line that really needs to be cleaned off and grossed me out as my little children need to hold the side of the pool often.

Nice pool with a very hot hot tub! Sauna was also nice. We weren’t expecting a breakfast, but it was free! Simple cereal, bread, hard boiled eggs, juice, pastries, and packed breakfast sandwiches. Great water pressure in the shower. Very quiet!

The property is a bit old so smells a little and we saw a bit of mould. Parking lot is under renovation currently so our lake view room had a few cars in front.

Staff was amazing and it had a great location to Duluth and conveniences in Superior. Facility was clean with a great pool, hot tub, sauna, and game room. Beds were comfortable and the lobby gave you a great cabin feel with the mounts and ambiance. Very secure guest room area as you must use your room key to enter the guest room areas and elevators. Didn’t get a chance to check out the restaurant/bar but definitely plan to make a stop in there on my next visit because it was pretty busy which is usually a good sign. The marina view was great to wake up to and the lake breeze with the window cracked at night while in bed was amazing. If you want an amazing stay this would definitely be a great choice and I highly recommend!

The rooms definitely need to be updated all around with new carpet, bed linens, fixtures, cabinets, night stands, a/c units. Could definitely use some paint on the exterior and a good exterior deep cleaning and power washing. Parking lot could also use a good pothole filling and re-paving. Hallway doors could also go for paint job or just take them out. Grab and Go breakfast could have some more options and organization. Looked mostly thrown together and like they had just thrown random things out there on the table. Also, no tea in the rooms only coffee so that was disappointing as I don’t drink coffee.

I am guessing the hotel had nothing to do about this but there was a birthday party. The people basically took over the pool area. Lots of kids in the pool and hot tub. Very loud. Not only kids but many people in the pool area. Too many for us to enjoy the pool.

View was the best! Also enjoyed walking along the lake and watching yatchs people with their boats. Windows opened (though many seem to have lost the screens) Decent variety of pre packaged breakfast options Staff was super friendly and helpful Pool area was very clean and did not smell strong of chemicals

we stayed two nites, would have been nice to have enough body cleaning products for both

restaurant had pretty view with nice menu selection. & attractive setting. nice lobby with extra seating. the outdoor seating was ample facing the marina.

the paper work said no breakfast sat & sun but i found they HAD breakfast on sunday after raiding the machines & checking out; i would have liked a paper map of the facilities to know where everything is. i should have asked for a handicap room since the bathroom was a challenge.

The location is fantastic. The breakfast was very good. It was so nice having a restaurant and bar right at the hotel.

It's an older property so the rooms need some updating, but everything worked fine in the rooms and they were clean.

It is an older facility and is currently undergoing construction/remodeling. There was only a cold breakfast available and the restaurant was closed.

The view was nice. Dinner was yummy. Staff was helpful and courteous.

They are under staffed so service in the restaurant and bar was slow. We could see that the staff was working very hard to keep up. They were super nice. Exterior of facility could use a coat of paint.

Room was very quiet - bed very comfortable. Realize this is an older establishment so didn't expect brand new facilities. Nice place. Breakfast 'grab and go" was good - realize Covid has limited choices.

Covid has limited breakfast choices and would be nice to have a warm meal but that's not our fault.
