We loved everything about this hotel! Lovely premises, perfect location, delicious food and exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. We would like to give a special thanks to Darius at the front desk who went above and beyond to help us get hold of the Vietnamese seasoning we were looking for. This level of service is not something we expect, so we are deeply impressed and grateful. We would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers to Hanoi.

This is a beautiful hotel but what really shines are the staff. They can't do enough for you. They work around the clock (literally) to make sure you are happy and having a good time. The room is spacious and comfortable and cleaned daily. Breakfast in the top floor restaurant was great with a good choice of buffet as well as an al a carte option too. Special thank to Lily who looked after us really well in the restaurant. Rooftop bar excellent views and staff who are fun and aim to please, offering to re-make your cocktail if you don't like it! The manager Leonard (not his real name) was very funny and entertained us no end. He makes a mean Tom Collins!! We also had 2 incredible massages from the inhouse spa.

Our only complaint was the noise...and not from the motorbikes as that was actually not too bad with the door closed. our room was on the 8th floor and directly below the restaurant so you could hear the noise of people walking and tables and chairs being scraped. Especially bad when they are setting it up for breakfast at 5.45am and when they close for the evening at 10.30pm and reset. It was hard to slept through it. I would 100% go back but request a room from floor 7 or below to not be disturbed by the restaurant noise.

A charming boutique hotel & perfectly located. 5 minutes from train street which was a wonderful experience. There was an abundance of street food & tasty Vietnamese cuisine. Our room was exceptionally clean & the mattress ensured a great nights sleep…very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing catering for all tastes. You had to pay extra but well worth it. A nice touch when the staff produced a birthday cake for me. I was celebrating my 70th birthday. Vietnamese people are just wonderful, warm & extremely friendly. The staff at Aira hotel were a testimony to the kindness, warmth of the Vietnamese people. One particular staff at reception was Darius who was so helpful & very efficient at his job. Spoke amazing English & would go out of his to help to assist us whenever he could. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aira & we highly recommend it.

Great staff, very kind supportive and helpful. Especially Tom from the reception went out of his way to support us. Staff also allowed us to take a shower in the evening ahead of a late red eye international flight. Also accepted some clothes and a backpack we did not bring back to donate to a nearby orphanage. Very good breakfast and nice rooms. Close to train street and many nice restaurants.

Small gym with no disinfectant to clean equipment after use. Gym is on the way to the pool and with many windows and mirrors so little privacy. Nothing horrible just something to note. Also small pool area but this is expected/ normal, given how central the hotel is.

Free (select) items from the minibar, replenished daily. Accommodating staff; they held our luggage after check out and made it possible for us to shower after a sweltering hot day before our taxi to the airport. The staff go above and beyond. Breakfast was also very good. Location is excellent; just on the outskirts of Old Quarter - close enough for a walk into busier streets and far enough away for it to be a little quieter.

Gym equipment and outdoor poor did not have enough seats, nor much equipment (one bench).

We booked Aira as our “main-base” for exploring Hanoi and its surroundings and stayed here twice during our vietnam-trip. The hotel and its personnel is very welcoming, competent and offers many amazing trip suggestions (for example Hanoi city tour in an offroad car, foodtour, Ninh Binh etc). Being located in the old quarter and only three minutes from Train Street and in walking-distance from many more sights, the hotel is as central as one can get. The rooms are fully equipped (with a complementary mini-bar), cleaned daily and, despite the central location, very quiet. The rooms are perfect to take a break from exploring. The hotel and room interior is classy. Food-wise the breakfast offered in the hotel is very diverse, with interesting/delicious and western-oriented choices from the a la-carte-menu in addition to the buffet. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant is also very well equipped. The rooftop-terrace offers beautiful sights, but lacks a bit of a “loungy” atmosphere, compared to the restaurant. With all the hotels we stayed during our trip and the ones we saw only from the outside, Aira definitely was our best pick.

The only thing I missed was an iron and small ironing board in the room.

Really enjoyed this place. The breakfast is amazing expecially the freshly made pancakes. I loved the thought of waking up to a fresh breakfast every morning. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. They even helped with a few personal needs and recommended good places to visit. I upgraded to a larger room at a fair price and the room was great - Spacious with a free mini bar (love this). Would have loved to have spent time on the roof top bar during opening hours, the views were amazing. There was just soo much to do in Hanoi :-) But at the end of the day after a busy day, coming back to a lovely hotel like Aira was heaven.

Found he gym to be quite hot.

The decor was lovely and it was so clean! The hotel staff couldn't do enough from reception to the bar. The rooms were big and the bed is so comfortable. We slept so well! And they had a well lit mirror in the room and the bathroom for doing make up! This almost never happens! Its a few streets away from the old quarter which was nice as we were a few minutes walk from all the chaos but far enough away to get a quiets night sleep.

There were only 4 beds at the swimming pool which meant the first couple of times we tried to go it was full. But we managed to share one in the end. But this really is the only thing! Excellent hotel!

The Aira was easily the best hotel we stayed at during our travels in Vietnam! The staff could not do more for you. They were outstanding start to finish. Our room was very nice, super clean & very comfy bed. The hotel receptionist Suzy made our stay, after welcoming us to the hotel and walking us through the introductory pack. She informed that there were a number of trips avaliable that we could book through the hotel. We were interested in the Ha Long Bay trip. Suzy took us through our different options and once we decided she handled everything for us. Our Ha Long Bay trip was above expectations so a big thank you to Suzy for her help there! The Aira is also in the perfect location, just on the outskrits of the Old Quarter and a 2 min walk from train street. We also had a lovely drink in the hotels sky bar where you can catch the sunset! Highly recommend!

This is a lovely property. It was very clean, had modern finishes, and was a nice ambience at a great value. The staff was hospitable, friendly and responsive. I was impressed by how quick they were to attend to questions I had about airport transfers, spa services, etc.. I also love the restaurant, Essence. The food was excellent and they have a gluten free menu that my friend really appreciated. The location is also great- it is a quieter part of the Old Quarter; however, it is still very central and only one block from the famous train street. Would definitely stay here again!
