Riu Palace Peninsula - All Inclusive

Staff was always very nice and taking very well care of guests. The buffet was excellent with lots of different options. Rooms are nice and you never feel too crowded even if the hotel is big. Pools are really nice. We had a small problem with our shower and it was repaired in 15 minutes.

Speciality restaurants are at best average (Italian was bad). We had a suite and our spa was not working. Construction works at the nearby Riu Caribe from 7 to 7 are hard to deal with. it creates a constant noise.

Riu Palace Peninsula is an amazing place with an amazing staff. The beach is great, the amenities is very nice, the entire staff from bellboy to restaurant attendants are amazing. I love the fact that the hotel was immaculant despite hundreds people were staying at the hotel. The property is well kept. I need to give shout out to Andy and Melissa from front desk, very courteous, friendly and delivered an exceptional customer service. Noel, Ansa, Junior, Gael, from Isla Mujeres restaurant were amazing individuals. The chef at Isla Mujeres was awesome, great tasting of salmon, steak and lobster. I will definitely coming back to this hotel. I will try different Riu property in other country...next Riu Montego Bay...

The gym is not 24 hours gym,it closed at 8pm every single day.

I loved the cleanness. The staff and the area. The rooms are super big. We had a corner room so that made our balcony really big as well.

The only downside was the beach, but not a deal breaker. The buffet was just ok. However we did like the restaurants. Another thing was they say you can visit the other Rius but my parents were only able to find one at Riu Cancun. Which that opening only came about last minute. Point is they couldn’t come to ours cause it’s considered “palace” so we had to go to theirs, which was ok cause that beach was way nicer.

My husband and I stayed at the RIU PALACE PENINSULA and our stay was extremely wonderful.I came to Cancun to celebrate my 50th Birthday and even though it rain the whole day for my birthday we I still had an awesome time. We relaxed and we did alot of sight seeing. Next time We come we'll do more things that Cancun has to offer you.

I really appreciated how clean they maintained it, especially the bathrooms through out the facility.

my only complaint was the beds, they need to be updated as far as mattresses. and I had requested a king size when we walked in it was 2 bed, so they said we’ll fix it, so they put the 2 beds together which was not comfortable I slept basically on a crack.

This was a great resort, overall pretty well organized with a lot of activities especially for the kids and good pools/beach access. There were multiple food options which is great. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, with good proximity to nearby attractions.

The room's layout wasn't the most comfortable with the split shower/toilet stalls and Jacuzzi in the middle of the room. Food quality was overall ok, with the Italian restaurant being the best of the choices. It also does get pretty crowded during the vacations and standing in line to get into a restaurant isn't really what you want on your time off.

The staff, the food was excellent. The grounds exceptional.

This was my second time staying there. Last time was 2 years ago. The hotel is starting to show wear and tear. Rooms need maintenance such as paint. The worst part and most disappointing is the unbearable noise from the air conditioning units on the rear of the hotel. You cannot enjoy the balconies on that side of the hotel. And for what you pay, it's something that is unexceptable.

Very good food, the pool was excellent, the Italian restaurant was awesome! The buffet for the breakfast was ok, sometimes the green juice was a little bit sour, other than that everything was good.

A beautiful resort. Nice location. If you want to party at the pool there's a section for that and if you want to relax on a quiet beach with a book, there's a section for that. The buffet was mediocre, but the steakhouse was wonderful with nice staff. The concierge were also nice and accommodating. The room we stayed in was the best. In a corner away from neighbors and noise. My daughter and I loved it. The ferry dock to Isla Mujeres is also very nearby.

Supposedly, when I booked my daughter was not included in the room price, even though I included both of our information. Upon check in I had to pay another $300. Wasn't happy about that. My daughter is 11, there were no activities for her age group, but there are for younger children. The male host outside the Asian restaurant told us there was a wait list, so we opted for the buffet and then saw him letting others in not on a wait list. His loss, missed a big tip. The other restaurants did not have a wait list. Our last day at the buffet, knats were circling the fruit section 🤢. Not 1 or 2, but several. They should consider covering the fruits and veggies.
